    How much did this unit cost with the customizations (vaulted ceiling, double sink, washer/dryer in outbuilding)? And what is the current wait time from signing to build completed?

      Hi Jason, I'm the owner of this specific villa. The current starting price is US$250k and ours has about another US$25k in upgrades. That does not include the furniture! We paid another US$30k roughly for custom furniture plus $5,000 for a decorator and all items needed such as appliances, coffee maker, bedding, linens, accessories, etc. In our case, there was also some type of land-transfer tax which came to about US$6,000 so all in, about US$320,000. There are also some other small fees to keep in mind for lawyers (about $1,500-2,000), insurance (about $1,200 per year) and ongoing maintenance in case you decide to let Casa Linda handle that for you.

      @@wdrex33 Beautiful villa! Excellent taste in finishes. Thanks for the detail. Confotur status seems to be a fleeting promise for many of us. Also, not so glad to hear the furniture/appliances runs more than the $10k per bedroom estimated by CL.

    Do these villas qualify for tax exemption?

    • @casalindavillas
      @casalindavillas  Год назад +2

      Hi! Yes, they do. New built villas in phase 10-11-12 are eligible for Confotur ( tax exemption) We have applied and are waiting for final confirmation from the government. :)

      Ours didn't but as per Casa Linda's response above, they have applied for Confotur for the next phases. Not sure what the status of that it.

      Everything has its price; you can get a 1 bdrm. condo for US$85k or a 3 bdrm penthouse by the ocean for US$1 million+. The fact that every new phase Casa Linda releases pretty much sells out in weeks tells me that many people are more than happy to pay that for a piece of paradise. But as I said, if that's too high for you, there are cheaper alternatives. They are certainly not scrambling for buyers that's for sure and all the people we've talked to are very happy (once they have put the construction process behind them ; )
