This is my first and only oud fragrance and I absolutely love it.
As I’ve recently added some more fragrances from Guerlain like their Eaux de Cologne line and L’Instant de Guerlain- I’ve also been on an Acqua di Parma kick lately. I love the original Colonia for spring and summer. I just got Colonia Club and I enjoy the cooling mint it has. Very versatile in my opinion. I also recently ordered Colonia Essenza and Colonia Intensa and I’m excited to try those out as well. Acqua di Parma is such a great relatively affordable niché brand. I love them. As a Guerlain fan, I affectionately refer to them as “The Guerlain of Italy” and that’s high praise from me.

I love Acqua Di Parma, I have Essenza. I have Oud also and found it to be stunning. It smells like frankincense which I own in it`s real form. This is utterly beautiful perfume for a man to wear.

Nice first impressoon. I have Essenza, Arancia di Capri and Fico de Amalfi. I would try Fico first. Great scent but performance is laking. But its a fresh scent. Thanks for the content. Be safe.

Colonia oud and oud are the same fragrance. The original was definitely not an actual edc, just marketed as such. Doesn’t surprise me this is a best seller by them and why it’s so well received. Demachy made this. Same with Colonia leather/leather. Everything the man makes is pretty damn impressive wether you like it or not.

*My Colonia Oud is nearly finished and I’m trying to figure out what the difference is between the Colonia Oud and this Oud EDP? There’s also Oud & Spice and now I’m not sure which to get.*
Well, if you add a single drop of real oud in a 5 L bowl of scent juice and distribute it across 50 100ml bottles, you can still technically claim that your scent contains real oud, despite being 1 drop of it diluted across 50 bottles. Numbers here are just suggestive so I can illustrate my thinking but Aaron Terence Hughes has once said in a video the exact amount of oud that is permitted to be diluted so a perfumery can legally claim as having oud. I don't remember the numbers but I ensure is a dismal one amount.
Nonetheless, it's a great scent. I've tried it out last weekend and was quite pleasant with it. Not harsh, fresh and pleasantly sweet without being cloying.
I think the jump from EdC to EdP is more of a branding/marketing-thing. There is no law that says it „have to be x%“ concentration, when its called EdP. And Acqua di Parma called many of their scents EdC concentré.
I cant compare, but could imagine that „Oud“ is basically the same as „Cologne Oud“.
Besides those speculation: I tested Oud in the summer, bought a 20ml filling in spring and now i‘ve got a bottle of 100ml in winter. Its very special, love the subtle Oud-Presence while its not overwhelmed by the rest and its still so easy to wear and definetly works all year long.
And its not a typical „unisex“ scent, but I can imagine a woman pull this off. I also know a woman who only uses man-fragrances, one of those is arma aqua di gio. Definetly a masculine smell, but damn....she pulls it off so well.

No problem! Yes, this is a more luxury version being a Eau De Parfum and containing real Oud. Pretty sure they have the same notes though!
It is the same formula. The new packaging is just a rebranding made when they discontinued some of the original line-up and added the new ones.
I have the colonia oud it decent, if you like original colonia you must try the new futara it new and real good imo 👍 sandalo great also 👌 and ebano

One thing I don’t particularly like on perfume bottles especially on expensive ones are that paper labels, how the heck am I going to clean the greasy fingerprint off of the bottle on a regular basis? So annoying.

Is the new adp oud any different to the previous colonia oud
Yes, contains the same DNA but now it’s an Eau De Parfum instead of a Eau De Cologne and contains natural Oud!
It was a tossup. Get the Oud parfume, or Oud Spice parfume.. personally i like Oud Spice very muxh, it was a eany meany miney mo choice, is thwre much of a differenxe between thr OUD and OUD Spice??¿?

It's not easy to decipher the AdP batch codes as Checkfresh nor Checkcosmetic have a lookup table for it. It would have been informative if you showed the ingredients and whether there was a formula code, too (sometimes it's the Ref #) as that could tell others who've purchased it and kept the box or those who purchase it in the future if there's been a reformulation.
I just received a bottle today and only tested it with one spray on each arm? How do you find the performance? How long does a scent bubble last? I find any reviews that talk about a fragrance lasting x hours on skin meaningless. Who really cares if they can smell the fragrance on their skin with their nose a half inch away? Cheapies like Cuba Gold have base notes probably last 20 hours "on skin".
What I do and I’ll make a more in depth video but I like to spray my ankles and since I’m 6’3 I can test how far it projects to my nose and the longevity because since it’s far from I nose I won’t go nose blind the same way I would if I spray around my neck.
What's the ratio of natural oud to the rest of the liquid per bottle?
Probably very little if I had to guess but nobody knows exactly besides Acqua di Parma

They stopped produce Colonia Oud as it seems and this EDP is the New Version of it.
From the German Acqua di Parma Site i cant find colonia Oud anymore.

Now to the Black Weeks and Fridays i can get it cheaper and Tom Ford is too Expensiv in my Opinion for it lasting Power anyway

Actually synthetics can't get oud right. There are so many facets to natural oud , and depending on the region it smells very different ( not all oud is barnyard). This has the exact same notes as the 2012 release.
Yes, same notes as the original Eau De Cologne but this is from the signature of the suns collection where they use one main natural note and in this case natural Oud and also being an Eau De Parfum

I don’t think $285 is to low of a price to contain some real Oud. Honestly the performance of this is above average very solid performer! I haven’t tried the original EDC

As for real oud it must be a small amount of it for the price tag is what I meant, but it sounds like that is what they are going for a easy to wear frag with some real oud mixed in. Thinking about ensar oud parfums and brands of that quality that use real organic oud, real tonkin musk, and real ambergris in good amounts the price is much more for the amount of oud and precious ingredients involved. There are brands that use synthetic oud and ask the same price, at least Acqua Di Parma are using real oud in this.
