  • Prime Minister Justin Trudeau holds a news conference in Oakville, Ont., to highlight investments from the recent federal budget, including plans to build homes on public lands. He is joined by Housing Minister Sean Fraser as well as Treasury Board President and Oakville MP Anita Anand.
The prime minister is asked about Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre meeting briefly with anti-carbon tax protesters. He also fields a question about his recent confirmation that Saskatchewan residents will still receive the carbon price rebate despite the provincial government's decision to stop collecting the carbon tax on natural gas and electric home heating.
