Yeah they lose nothing by doing it. It doesn't mean the game is ending anytime soon. In fact selling all those LSB's will extend the lifespan of the game by years.
they just releasing them for new players who dont mind paying to catch up, then we wont see them for awhile, still a huge inventory to farm and gear, most of these lsb are chars everyone has moved on from, if it means new players are slightly more relevant especially for their guild then i dont see a problem with these
As a sometimes buyer of LSBs, I actually agree. This is WAY too much in such a little time. Maybe twice a year during the May 4th and anniversary times but that's it.

I have bought three myself and don't really plan on anymore but it's soul crushing to see people spend hundreds of dollars on lsb only accounts and have no clue what they are doing but will still body you in grand arena.
Oh I wish people would stop complaining. You all bought them and bought them a long time ago. That means you got to skip farming all of these and farm other things which may now be part of lsb. Otherwise, your accounts would be WAYYYYY behind what they currently are.
I havea friend that started playing 6months ago. he now has SKLR REY almost done Jabba, at the same time he completed his imp trooper, nightsister, tusken, ewoks(LSBs). I have been playing for 3 years and I just got my sklr and rey done. SWEET CAROLINE BUM BUM BUM!!
Merry Christmas to me! I'm a relatively new player going for Jedi and Sith revan atm so that's an easy cop on both for me, also I'm just a huge fan of the triumvirate Sith in general so maybe that too just cause
I do know what is coming, but I'm enjoying the LSB. I really want to focus on helping my guild out in the TB/ROTE more and these shorten that farming time. It's easy cash for CG and a small amount of instant gratification for me and on to the next farm. Without these LSB, I might have just went back to super casual style of playing.
The Triumvirate should have remained a team you have to build manually. It's one of those premier teams in terms of popularity as well as capability, and none of the members were overly difficult to obtain and gear, you just had to dedicate the necessary time and effort to build them up. The reward for doing so was phenomenal. But once everyone has something, it loses a LOT of its luster. I've bought every LSB except BB8 and the recent Prepared crew (already had them built), and I've spent a couple grand in addition over the 15 months I've played to build up other teams and flesh them out. I *love* LSBs. BUT: the rate CG has recently released them, as well as the quantity of them and some of the teams granted, is both unsustainable for CG to maintain from a business perspective (they are training players' expectations in a way that's GOING TO lead to frustration and disappointment when the rate falls off abruptly), and very unhealthy for the community/ game itself. It's great to have a few GLs and solid teams that new players can access via LSBs, plus some overly hard to get characters that you needed to be playing years ago to obtain (TB characters), but once you start making massive portions of the game's roster available like this, the game will become flooded with accounts that have almost everything and all look identical. If everyone has all the same stuff, nobody feels pride and satisfaction with what they personally built. If everyone has everything, then very little still feels valued. And when so many accounts are so similar to each other to such a depth, competitive game modes become enormously mundane and repetitive. Squads that aren't required to participate in modes or guilds, nor fill a vital role in developing your account, probably shouldn't make up that many LSBs. It's cool to have a few of them, especially when they're higher priced, like the Starkiller and Aphra bundles, but CG has gotten greedy af, and are just making it all Lightspeed. $20 for Triumvirate feels wrong. I don't think they ever fit to be a lsb in the first place, but if they did, they should have been at a premier price, to reduce the number of purchases, thus keeping the team's luster while avoiding having the lower tiers of GaC swamped with it. I swap between Aurodium 2- Kyber 4, so I'm not saying this bc I don't want to face them. I just know how much this could further make Bronzium and Carbonite players feel overwhelmed and without reason to compete. Whoever is in charge at CG, has very poor business sense. They have missed the forest for the trees, and are so addicted to the quick profits off LSBs they have forgotten to nurture the game's longterm profit potentials. Over monetizing is always a mistake, as is rapidly pulling down the steps to obtain premier; elite content. Nobody is going to want to farm ANYTHING anymore, which could seriously hurt CG's income off gear packs, relic packs, energy and crystal purchases, etc. In other words, the *meat* of the game's revenue is getting torn up by short-term "appetizers" that will dissuade players from returning to putting money into those longterm paths that CG needs us to, ever again. They are literally canibalizing their own business over the most short-sighted and basic economic mistakes possible.
The non-cynical answer is they want to bring more new players into the game. Numbers are dropping and the prospect of multiple years of farming is off-putting to new starters. Allowing people to get to a good, competitive baseline or buy their favourite characters could bring more players in. That being said, they are going to have to make changes to GAC/TW to accommodate the GP inflation and add some other game modes for people to use all these new characters in. The cynical answer is a money grab while they can. With the improved community engagement recently, new PC client and the attempts to freshen up the games old mechanics, I'm leaning towards them attempting to save it for now.
I agree. If they got us to spend our money and then stopped the game, I would never play a capital games game again...ever. I think they would consider it dumb to get lots of money and then stop the game. I think they well know what the response would be. It seems they are trying to male a more symbiotic relationship with us. It's basically a game that should never be retired. If they run out of money, they are just grossly overpaying themselves. This game could run for another 10 years with the money they have already made off if....not even including these new bundles.
They definitely need to retire the Hoth and Geo battles at the very least and create some new TBs with new mechanics. Also update GA pairing so you are going up against players with the same GP. The current system sucks. I haven't played GA in a year just because I got sick of the B.S. pairing.
I literally spent the last year farming CAT now you can just buy her…. Ugh! It is a slap in my stupid face. I am seriously considering ending my play of this game… it is no longer a game you can play for free… it is pay to play

Then just grind for zetas, omegas and better mods if that's the case. You already got them relic so no need to farm kyrotechs which is literally one of the hardest to get. You also got to take in consideration that f2p players are struggling to keep up against people like me who pay lsb's. Just grind for them dude, it just takes patience that's it
@ i think you missed the point. “Grinding” for these things should always be going on whether you buy LSBs or not. You are saving time by buying LSBs, but dont get fooled, youre just changing where your bottleneck is, especially when buying multiple
So, even though we'll buy the lightspeed bundles, when are we going to be able to utilize the content? I'm already working on Jabba, which means that Dr. Aphra is on the back burner. Now I guess she's pushed behind SEE as well. But oh wait; the Traya team and the Revans are here too! And what 2nd year player can resist that for the price of a fast food lunch at Burger King these days? I'm about 2 months from getting CAT through the event , but now she's a light speed bundle as well, and would be R5. Makes that 10$ calendar I bought last month feel even worse. Think I can make myself pass on that one, but I said same thing with Aphra, and an hour before it ended, I bought it. This is too much, all at the same time. These need to be spaced out better.

I wasn't going to buy a SEE bundle because I assumed it would have too many characters I already have in it, but I only really have Piett geared very high for the Empire group. It's not the best price, so I'll have to give it some thought. A couple more relic levels apart from those, and I would be able to start farming him as opposed to waiting for months after other priorities...
What I'm hoping is that they decide to start combing through Legends content. If they do that, they could easily double the number of characters, probably ships, triple capital ships, not to mention more GLs, Conquest characters, Journeys, and content overall. That's my hope, at least. Am I wrong? Probably
Is there really a point in farming anything other than gear and off meta counters with all these bundles dropping? I was beginning to start farming DARTH Revan but honestly I might as well buy him rather than spend months farming and use all that energy for the few things left in the game not inside of LSB The increase in bundle volume either scares me for the longevity of the game going forward or is a possible exciting time assuming CG will make some new changes to farming or progression in the game with all the LSB dropping

Hopefully, they just throw us an unholy amount of ROTS content and characters next year for the ROTS 20th anniversary to farm, even if it's just more clones or droids.. Gree, Bly, Bakara, V-Wing, Tri-Fighter, etc. Hopefully, a ROTS Raid?..
Having played Kotor, i wouldnt consider buying Revan or DRevan. I really enjoyed building them up to get through. Needed Carth's healing zeta upgrade, just for anyone else trying it.

Yes in the New Year, all LSB's will go away and there won't be any until end of Feb / beginning of March and then not many. The next big round of LSB's after this will be May 4th be with you.
Um yeah, well… um, there’s still a problem… those buying these… omicrons and zetas and mods are still harder to come across. It’s too overwhelming for people to try to make these relics workable with so many upgrades still needed… kinda upset at traya and revan packs… I did work those up and were my staples for the longest time in gac and conquest… I guess GLs are just going to be easily attainable across the board, I’m almost finished with slkr and the shard shop is locked up, idk y I can’t buy more tickets when I have 10
Dude I just finished grinding Jedi Revans event and I already have DR reliced and zetaed 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ I’m interested to see these new bundles and how they gaze into the game
CG is shooting themselves in the foot from a business perspective. By released so many LSBs within such a short time, they will have created massively inflated expectations for their investors and owning interests. Expectations that they CANNOT fulfill consistently and long term. As soon as they run out of content to canibalize with fast access cash grabs, their quarterlies are going to PLUMMET, and even if they drop down to levels similar to what they used to be (albeit a little lower due to players being less willing to spend on non-lsbs), it won't be good enough for their investors anymore. EA and such are going to be so used to these lsb profits, that they will either declare the game finito once profits plunge, or they will try to force CG to continue putting up those profits, which would kill the game in another way due to player disatisfaction. If everyone suddenly has everything, including the newest content due to CG having nothing left to monetize to meet those expectations, then many players will feel there's no point in building their own roster anymore, nor in competing against everyone with the same exact accounts. Either way, this could easily destroy the game's future. All due to short-sighted greed leading to extremely amateur business decisions. I love LSBs, but too much of anything can become a problem very quickly.
its easy to see where this is taking us...... to a game to every f2p player is passed like they are standing still no matter what they are farming. If you arent paying CG, they dont care about you playing their game
hey nooech did you see the barris update re-skin? sweet baby inc barris? she looks like one of those poke'mon go avatar updates that made the females look androgynous blobs. she's got no bust, broad shoulders, male facial features, etc it just looks really off, and doesn't have female proportions.
I know they wanna make money, but this is crazy! Over half of the GLs directly connected to a LSB and the others have bundle requirements here and there. CG has lost their minds!
I've only been playing the game for around a month now and bought all the LSBs available during that time. I was really hoping they would release some of the older ones I missed for Christmas, but that doesn't seem to be happening. I can totally see how people playing the game for years would be upset and feel like all their time was wasted. But here are some important things I've noticed from a new player perspective that might be more of a silver lining. I know they've been touched on before, but just to reiterate: 1) Just because new players have advanced characters doesn't mean we know how to use them/have the resources to make them good. It took me A LOT of tries to finally get C-3PO to 7 stars with the Ewok bundle because I didn't have a great strategy down and didn't have good enough mods to get the job done. And then I spent $50 on the Doctor Aphra bundle just for my Hondo to get one-shotted by Greedo every time because I don't have the resources or mods to make him better. I also struggle with PVP even with a lot of good characters, because I'm still learning what moves and strategies to use in certain situations. 2) More players having access to more characters could mean better, less monotonous PVP for people early to mid game. If I have to fight one more Phoenix team, I'm going to scream! But now with a wider variety of characters at play, there will hopefully be a little more diversity with team selection. 3) GLs and Journey characters haven't been in any LSBs, so they are at least safe to level up. They are what I've been focusing on. New players have a long way to go to get all those characters up and running, so grinding is still necessary even after buying the LSBs.

And I have several of the Journey characters already at relic, have a fair amount of completed characters for most of the GLs, and have watched a lot of playthroughs of people getting them, so I'm not totally ignorant when it comes to obtaining GLs. 😉

It’s too overwhelming for people to try to make these relics workable with so many upgrades still needed… kinda upset at traya and revan packs… I did work those up and were my staples for the longest time in gac and conquest… I guess GLs are just going to be easily attainable across the board, I’m almost finished with slkr and the shard shop is locked up, idk y I can’t buy more tickets when I have 10

CG is shooting themselves in the foot from a business perspective. By released so many LSBs within such a short time, they will have created massively inflated expectations for their investors and owning interests. Expectations that they CANNOT fulfill consistently and long term. As soon as they run out of content to canibalize with fast access cash grabs, their quarterlies are going to PLUMMET, and even if they drop down to levels similar to what they used to be (albeit a little lower due to players being less willing to spend on non-lsbs), it won't be good enough for their investors anymore. EA and such are going to be so used to these lsb profits, that they will either declare the game finito once profits plunge, or they will try to force CG to continue putting up those profits, which would kill the game in another way due to player disatisfaction. If everyone suddenly has everything, including the newest content due to CG having nothing left to monetize to meet those expectations, then many players will feel there's no point in building their own roster anymore, nor in competing against everyone with the same exact accounts.
Either way, this could easily destroy the game's future. All due to short-sighted greed leading to extremely amateur business decisions. I love LSBs, but too much of anything can become a problem very quickly.
When do these go live?

its easy to see where this is taking us...... to a game to every f2p player is passed like they are standing still no matter what they are farming. If you arent paying CG, they dont care about you playing their game

I know they wanna make money, but this is crazy! Over half of the GLs directly connected to a LSB and the others have bundle requirements here and there. CG has lost their minds!

I've only been playing the game for around a month now and bought all the LSBs available during that time. I was really hoping they would release some of the older ones I missed for Christmas, but that doesn't seem to be happening. I can totally see how people playing the game for years would be upset and feel like all their time was wasted. But here are some important things I've noticed from a new player perspective that might be more of a silver lining. I know they've been touched on before, but just to reiterate:
1) Just because new players have advanced characters doesn't mean we know how to use them/have the resources to make them good. It took me A LOT of tries to finally get C-3PO to 7 stars with the Ewok bundle because I didn't have a great strategy down and didn't have good enough mods to get the job done. And then I spent $50 on the Doctor Aphra bundle just for my Hondo to get one-shotted by Greedo every time because I don't have the resources or mods to make him better. I also struggle with PVP even with a lot of good characters, because I'm still learning what moves and strategies to use in certain situations.
2) More players having access to more characters could mean better, less monotonous PVP for people early to mid game. If I have to fight one more Phoenix team, I'm going to scream! But now with a wider variety of characters at play, there will hopefully be a little more diversity with team selection.
3) GLs and Journey characters haven't been in any LSBs, so they are at least safe to level up. They are what I've been focusing on. New players have a long way to go to get all those characters up and running, so grinding is still necessary even after buying the LSBs.

@@NOOCH2GUD But not those characters themselves, right? Just the characters needed to get them. That's what I meant. Like they aren't charging $50 for a Relic 7 Jabba himself.
@@NOOCH2GUD I think they mean that the characters are not available in the bundles. Having only played for a month, they clearly don't understand how galactic legends are obtained.
@@scottdowdy3563 Yeah, that's what I meant...you can't just buy the GLs. And I have several of the Journey characters already at relic, have a fair amount of completed characters for most of the GLs, and have watched a lot of playthroughs of people getting them, so I'm not totally ignorant when it comes to obtaining GLs. 😉
