Dunno, but I noticed a gear icon showed up below Baikens health bar, which then disappeared at the moment she hit axl. Maybe that's just a normal part of the game i don't know about but it's something I noticed here.

I can't tell if Baiken j.d is just really fat, or if the Axl was just being put in a lot of fuzzy guard scenarios.

You would think that Baiken would be as bad matchup as ever for Axl but with his new tools and better(in my opinion) sparrowhawk stance, he can actually hang now with his worst matchups. That or Yosuke is just very good, idk.

Baiken's parry can counter basically any poke and normal that Axl has and she can instantly get in with it, but Axl can try to fight it with either his own parry(wich is worse in almost every way) or try to bait her and go for a throw(you can see Yosuke go for that a handful of times). It's basically a game of chicken with Axl on the back pedal because he has to either guess what Baiken's gonna do or risk his limb. Doesn't help that Baiken has a good amount of damage output, either. It's not impossible but Axl is at a disadvantage.

Yeah, but only Axl has limbs that stretch full-screen and have huge recovery, so the one thing that usually is his strength, is a weakness just like in all of his bad matchups(Chipp, Milia, Venom, etc.). In short: if a character excels at punishing moves with slow recovery, Axl will have a natural problem with them.

Is it much harder to get air tatami for Baiken now? I see Sharon getting air kick a lot instead. Or maybe he's just fucking up because he hasn't used Baiken in so long haha.
