I’m to the point where I’m rewatching your travel videos 2 or 3 times. I have always watched travel videos and you are the only person that has been so helpful and practical! My sister and family just got stationed in Tampa which is only an 1.5 hour flight so I see several flights in my future the next 3 years. Your content is golden!
Hi Ella! Thank you!!! i’m so happy you’re finding my contact useful and getting some great hacks for your travels. My motto is if it’s good you gotta share and if it’s bad you got a spare! If I can help somebody make traveling easier I’m happy to do it so I’m extremely happy you found this channel and are getting things out of the video! If there is some content you would like to see please let me know! Again, thank you so much for watching and your feedback on my videos. Happy travels!
Thank you so much, Anthony!!! Air travel has become so mundane! I needed to make it fun again! I also reuse these bento boxes as picnic boxes when we are on vacation! Thank you so much for watching and commenting! Look forward to getting more of your feedback on my other videos!
I like that you made yourself a mini charcuterie with the lid...gives it a nice elevated touch. I will take a page out of your book and do the same but I think I'd rather use a collapsible container so it'd take less room in my bags when I'm done eating. Tha k you for the idea!
Hi Axel! Yes, it would’ve been better if I could’ve found some thing that collapsed down to become something smaller. Or I could’ve use one Bento box to travel and split it between the two of us but since we had two legs of the ride we were able to save some of the treats for the next leg. We were also able to use these bento boxes as little picnic boxes on our trip. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
There are grocery stores where you get fruit, salad bars stuff and they have smaller containers. I plan to do that if possible. I wouldn't feel too guilty throwing away if they get to be a problem but I could reuse if they would come in handy. I like that they are flatter and might fit in corners of a carry on or personal item.
I just love your travel content - it's super practical and thorough! 👋 One small note on the snacks, if you're travelling to a country like Aotearoa New Zealand, try to finish them - in particular anything that's open or fresh, honey is a no no. If you have any food, even packaged stuff, you will need to declare it, because of our strict biosecurity laws. You probably wouldn't have to throw out your packaged food, but it could mean extra arrival processing time.
Hi Kate! New Zealand is definitely on my bucket list because I have not been there yet! Thank you for the tip on the food! I’m wondering if a flight to New Zealand to even allow us to bring something like this on the airplane? Everything was packaged and not fresh but I can see where even if something was open they might want to have you throw it out. I know in California they are strict about bringing fruit into our area because back in the 1980s we had a huge fruit fly infestation that decimated our fruit here in California. Thank you again for the helpful tip and commenting and watching my channel and I wish you happy travels!
Doesn’t matter whether it is opened or not. Any foodstuffs is a no no. Be prepared to discard in one of the bins before getting to customs, both Australia and NZ are islands, they stringently protect their borders. This is announced before landing by the crew in both countries, and written in many languages on the custom declaration. There are no excuses, it could be a very expensive bento box. I have just gone through this last week, first time back up and flying since Covid, the laws have not changed in years.
Souvenirs of food are NOT weird!!! I always ask my son what he'd like me to bring him from my travels and he has no desire for tees or mugs ... he wants unusual food items!!! And I love seeing you using Contigo mugs .... they're the best!!!
I love it! No need for knickknacks when you can eat your way through the souvenir shop! Plus it makes it fun because you can always go back and get more things cause I’ll always run out if they eat it! 😜
Thank you, Colleen! I am so happy you enjoy my videos and are able to get some great hacks from them! I’m learning as I go and will be making more videos soon! Thank you so much for watching my channel I truly appreciate your feedback!
I love, love, love your video's especially you packing ones, I have gotten quite a few things that you suggested....I love the tiny zip lock bags I actually used one today to go to the hsp for an MRI I used the little bag for my jewelry.... keep up the great work..
Thank you so much, Carol! It brings me such joy to be able to produce videos the people enjoy and get some great hacks out of! Yes,! Those bags are great to keep in your purse for jewelry when you have to go in and remove your jewelry! I also keep in some medication or chewing gum because it takes up less space in my purse with these little zipper bags! Thank you so much for watching and commenting and I hope your MRI turns out the way you want it!
We do this too. On out last trip we took crackers, cheese, cashews pepperonis and dried cherries. The best part is while away we were able to pack on the go snack lunches while hiking. Great video.
Yes! That’s what Im talking about! We think very much alike! I do the same! Thank you for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback on my other videos!
Thank you, Heidi! They make great snack trays but they also make great storage containers when you’re at your destination. I also use them to pack picnic lunches to the beach or to the park when I get to my destinations. I have several different ones but I like the plastic ones for travel. Thank you so much for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback on my other videos!
Hi Heather! You are very welcome! I love a ventil boxes and I think they are also useful when you get your destination for picnics or to store food! Thank you so much for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback on my other videos!
Yeah, I could’ve used one box for both of us but since we had two legs of the plane ride I thought we could split the treats. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Wow! What a brilliant idea!!! I love it and will be using it from now on. I love the clean and simple esthetic. So cute and inviting. Love the hot water hack! Love the purchasing treats to have on the next trip! You are one sharp cookie!! 💯. Food is universal, we all have to eat, why not do it with style and panache?! Thanks for the excellent video and inspiring content🙂
Thank you, Lori! I think exactly like you! It’s already hard enough to travel and sit in such a confined space so why not make that confined space your very own it is comfortable and it’s pleasurable as possible! Thank you again for watching and commenting!!
I do a lot of back and forth between the US and Europe and your tips are going to be a lifesaver, especially as someone that has special dietary needs! I love your videos!
Thank you, Dijah! Yeah, it is hard to get any food to fit the Healthy spectrum when traveling. This waynI get what I want and not too much! Thank you for watching and commenting! Happy travels!
You can also pack fresh fruit & veggies w/hummus & guacamole in your bento box. Yeti tumbler for hot water & take your own tea bags. Cup of oatmeal or soup for a hot meal depending on travel time.
Hi Monica, The thing was taking hummus or guacamole is you have to take that out as it is considered a liquid. Anything that is spreadable like that needs to be removed and put in a clear plastic bag through TSA security. However you can bring fresh fruits and vegetables and dry oatmeal that can be reconstituted with hot water once you get through TSA security. Thank you so much for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback on my other videos!🌝
I always love your ideas, they are so unique and fun and are so very useful! I love the bento box idea for snacks, so much cheaper than buying it all at the airport or on the plane! 🥰🥰🥰
thank you so much, Emma! It’s definitely cheaper and better because I can pick what I want for snacks on the plane and I reuse these boxes on the way back to bring back some delicate shells from my trip for my collection. Thank you so much for watching and commenting and happy travels!

Hi Laura! Yes I got that tip from a flight attendant and my boyfriend also works at the airport and he tells me on the private planes that he works on they clean that system out all the time but he wasn’t sure on the commercial airlines how often they cleaned it so it’s better safe than sorry to bring your own hot water on to the plane. Last thing you wanna do is get some sort of intestinal illness while you’re flying or on vacation! Thank you so much for watching and commenting and I look forward to more feedback from you on my other videos!🙂
Oh Eunice!!! Love it! I feel a Daiso trip coming up for me... I need a new Bento box, if I do not make it to SF Japan Town soon, Daiso will do for now... I love that store a little to much. Or I can also just get the one from your video too.
Hi Julie-Joy! I have a Daiso near me and I did not see a Bento box that I liked so I ordered mine off of Amazon. I really like the quality of this box and that it has a bamboo lid and utensils. I had no problems getting this through airport security. I also have wooden bento boxes that are very traditional Japanese but I wasn’t sure if they would possibly break during the trip so I stuck with the plastic ones for this trip. I hope you find a great Bento box and get to use it for your next trip or any picnic!
@@TheoryofSimple Thanks for the heads up... I do love the look of the bamboo and the practicality of the plastic on your choice. Also love the zip lock multi use wipes bag! Happy Travels...
Yes! I love having my favorite wipes and not having to buy ones I don’t like! Thank you so much for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback on my other videos!
I just use a sandwich size ziploc bag. Why? As I use them the plastic bag goes down. I can also squeeze out the air. I hate checking in a bag and standing around to collect my bag.
Hi Kara! Thank you! Airport food is so expensive and not healthy so I almost always pack my own food. This was I get what I want and save some money! Thank you for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback on my other videos!
Great job!! Exactly my idea. You did a very nice version of those little treat boxes you used to get on economy maybe 30 years ago. Alas. I was thinking of how to do this myself. I bought a small packet of cheese (some stores sell little speciality cheeses for $2-3--pricey but not as much if I wanted to buy such a box) and thought of grapes and dark chocolate and a little packet of crackers--as far as I got. Small ham bun (maybe) with mustard pack and mayo pack? One more thing, gives you an activity on a long flight. (Oh yes, will discard any remains on the airplane as I am flying to Europe and don't know what is allowed and what isn't.)
Thank you so much and now that you mention it does remind me of a little snack boxes leaves to give you when you used to fly! I was back in the days when they treated customers, right! 🙏❤️😊 thank you so much for watching in commenting😊❤️
@@TheoryofSimple Flying used to be fun. Oh well, never will be again. Now that they have learned to nickel and dime you for everything, and the TSA is "Thousands Standing Around".
Hi Wanda! I am not sure how I missed this comment! It just showed up in my feet tonight but I wanted to let you know that I got it! Gotta love technology! SONshine back to you!
I like the cup your husband was drinking from. I would use that to have a powdered soup and hot water. Oh and I love the cup with the straw. Must buy these items.
They are great! There are links in the video description to those items! Thanks for watching and commenting! Hope you get some great items for your next trip!
I love ❤ this, BYO is definitely the way to go! Great tips, most of us can come up with a lunch box and Thermos, good idea to get the hot water at the coffee shop. I have a bento box as an option for carrying lunch, I'll now use it to bring snacks. Good idea to bring a portable fan for a little climate control!
Thank you! Especially now when most airlines do not provide anything for free! I reuse the bento box as a picnic /lunch bento when I am traveling! Thank you for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback on my other videos!
Nice! Curious though about the olives, were they not wet? How did TSA approve? Love your practicality as I often organize and pack like you. Your my people!
It doesn’t matter. Things are wet as long as they’re not sitting in liquid. For example, you would not want to bring a jar of olives, but you can bring them in a little bag as long as there’s not a lot of juice in there. I have TSA pre-check and they don’t even look through my bag. so glad we are so similar in our packing styles. I hope you’re able to get one of these bento boxes or a try😊❤️
Hi Denise, agree! I don’t normally take these with me but for this special trip I brought them so we had some nice snacks for the long flight and I thought we might use them for a picnic in the trip. Why were going to be going around Europe I think what I would do is use those Stasher bags that are silicone food bags because you can reuse them over and over and they go flat that are easy to pack up in the luggage if you’re not using them. thanks so much for watching and commenting and hope you have a fabulous trip to Europe!
In a couple of weeks our family of 4 has a flight to catch at 6am, I think packing our food is going to be a necessity. I love those pop up fans, my daughter brought me one back from South America a few years ago and I use it quite often.
Hi Karen! my dad just flew last week and he did a redeye flight and there was nothing open in the airport in the morning when he got there so he couldn’t even get coffee! That little pop-up fan is great not only for cooling but I also if there are bugs around it keeps them away from me! I hope you and your family have a wonderful trip without any hiccups and that some of these hacks in my videos helped make your trip more enjoyable and organized! 🙂
TSA will allow you to take frozen ice blocks (water in a ziploc bag, lie flat in the freezer) so you can keep sandwiches and such cold. If the block begins to melt, pour off/drink the liquid. Otherwise, TSA will subject your ice to the 3-ounce rule. The TSA website is great about what is and isn't allowed, and they have a sense of humor about it. You can also use blue ice type packs but if they aren't a firm, solid block when going through TSA, it is the 3-ounce rule again.
@@danaeads919 Great hack! Thank you for sharing that with us! Possibly as a another option would be to use a Stashers silicone bag. they seal really well and you can reuse that silicon bag as a cold pack or a hot pack if you need it on your trip. I have had times where I’ve use a standard Ziploc bag And something has punctured it caused a hole so I do find the thickness of the Stashers stands works great and more puncture resistant.🙂
@@danaeads919 yes! The Stasher bags are good for so many things! I’ve even use them as a hot water bottle or an ice pack and just wrap the scarf around it!
You are just a wizard at this! I am quite like minded and have influenced my family quite a bit in the area of travelling more minimally. Those boxes are awesome. Do you feel like they take a lot of room? I am always the bringer of "the snack pouch" and for it I use a Topo Designs white XPAC medium pouch which holds all our bars, fruit straps, electrolytes, meat sticks and olive pouches from Trader Joe's. My favorite instant coffee is mushroom coffee by Four Sigmatic. I was curious what instant coffee you prefer for travel.? Recently, I saw tea bags with coffee in them though I haven't tried them yet.
Hi Brandon! Thank you! These boxes take up a bit of space so they are not something that I take often. This was a special trip and was long so I wanted to make the flight a bit more special so I packed it. I also thought we could use these boxes again on the fishing trip so I thought they would be useful for that as well. The instant coffee I bring is Mount Hagen and can be found here amzn.to/3vrDzcG It is fair trade and organic. I will be flying with my grandkids soon so I will pack special treats and snack for them and will take something different. I have not heard about the tea bag coffee but it makes sense. If you try it let me know how you like it!
I absolutely love your videos. My boyfriend and I just went to New Orleans for a getaway weekend and used some of your ideas to pack light in an underseat bag only. I am curious though, how did you get the bento boxes through security?
Hi Dixie! Thank you so much for watching my videos & liking them! I just had them all packed up and in my bag and I had no problem at airport security. I think because the utensils were plastic they didn’t trigger anything. Thanks so much for watching and commenting and happy travels!
I like your ideas, I do the same for hot water but after trying many different thermal cups, I found that the brand Zojirushi kept the water hot like right out of a kettle for many hours. Also, I’d like to know what video editing software do you use ?
Hi Anne! Thank you so much! I have not heard of that brand of insulated mug! I will have to try and find it. Does it auto seal? Right now I’m mostly using Kinemaster to edit my videos. I’m learning Adobe Premier Pro s as well. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hi Davida, as you can see in the video I did take that on board and I was not even asked to remove it from my carry-on. There were no liquids in it so there was no reason to ask me to remove it.
As I never eat snacks at home I would not take with me. Nor do I need hot drinks. But proper food is a good idea preferably in disposable containers so giving me one less thing to carry. Believe me whatever you bring to make the flight a bit more easy it does not compare with economy plus or business class
Hi Shoshana, everyone Hass to do what’s good for them. I do know that even if I’ve had a short flight I have been delayed for hours sometimes and it’s nice to have something for me to eat and drink because there are not always food options for me at the airports or on the airplane. many people have food allergies or restrictions and need to bring their own food so this is a way to give them an idea of how to get it on board. Also I have flown business many many times and I don’t find the snacks that appealing. Of course if you’re talking about dinner foods I still believe that I could pack my own food better. Many of the flight foods have a high amount of sodium and sugar and bad fats that I do not want in my diet. Also most people are not going to be able to afford to fly first class or even business class so what you’re trying to do is make your economy class experience feel more upscale.
@@TheoryofSimple I totally agree, like my own food more. A lot of people can afford business class or premium econ, but they choose to fly econ cos what’s the point? Still getting fr A to B within the same time. I bring my noise canceling device and sleep through.
I love this idea but then you have to carry around these containers for your whole trip. I know you can fill them with leftovers from restaurants and take-out and stuff bought in grocery stores then eat in your room. So maybe that makes carrying these around a good idea. I’ll have to think about this… because.. I’m vegan and I worry about how difficult it will be to find vegan items as I travel around. Maybe this becomes a great idea. I hate the idea of eating greasy fast food french fries or a gross veggie burger that I didn’t prepare myself.
Yes! I use it to keep food when I am traveling! I have some new containers that I use that collapse down. Here are some links! amzn.to/3ptTw1T and this too amzn.to/3pklqx5
Where did you find the aloes? Definitely understand why you didn't do any taste like substances like hummus or guacamole because wouldn't count against your 3-1-1
Not sure if you met olives or not. These little packages of olives came from my Amazon store front. You could find my Amazon store front in the description below. Here is the link to the Travel Food Section a.co/7gLqw6T
Not sure if you got hot water from the airport put into the metal container or put into the plastic bottle? Or did you get the bottled water heated and put into the metal container?
Normally, I take my insulated thermos to a coffee shop and ask them if I can just have hot water. I always offer to pay and most of the time they just give it to me for free and I leave a tip but occasionally they will charge you for the cup, and then just have a port into your thermos.. if I get to an airport early in the morning or very late at night or things are closed and I’m at the airport for a long time, I will use my immersion heater and then put that into my thermos and heat water up out of one of the filtered water machines in the airport😊❤️
You are the best! Do you have to put the food you bring in your personal item in order to board the plane? Or are you allowed to add that bag of food as a third item?
Hi Susan, Since I have all of that food in a Bento box, I have it in my personal item under my seat so I can get easy access to it without having to get out of my seat and get into the overhead then. Technically, I guess I could put it in a food bag and just bring it on board. But I really hate being dishonest and I just have it in my luggage that fits under the seat in front of me.
@@susanjohnston4066 I believe technically if you buy food at the airport and it’s in a bag they let you bring it on because they’re assuming you’re going to eat it and then throw it away. Because these are bento boxes and they are of some size what I didn’t want was for them to say that was a third bag and then I had to rearrange everything so I did put it in my carry-on personal item.
Some airlines have smaller planes and this one was actually a really small plane with just two seats on one side of the aisle and two seats on the other but we were able to make this work on the small seat trays. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Hi Mama Nothing! I did not have to remove any of that when I went through TSA because none of it was a liquid. Can you bring things like peanut butter or hummus or cream cheese they will make you take that out. Of course that depends on where you live and your a TSA agent but I have never been asked to have it removed. But if they wanted to screen it I’d happily open it up and let them see what was in there. Thanks so much for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback on my other videos!
@@mamanothing9506 thank you& Welcome to the Theory of Simple community! They are so happy to have you here and look forward to your input on the other videos!
I have not had any issues with carrying those plastic knife and forks ever. Of course, each TSA agent is different in each region is different so you’ll just have to check.. I’m always prepared to part with whatever I bring because I know that it could be taken from me so if it’s something expensive and you don’t want them to take it, I wouldn’t bring it. When I was traveling from Alaska, I had a small credit card sized fork, knife and literally the knife couldn’t cut anything. It was really just a spreader and the TSA agent did stop me and look at it. He didn’t take it but he warned me that it could be taken, even though it was approved by TSA.. HSA agent has the right to take what they want so just be aware of that💕😊
Hi Ruth, thanks you! I have not flown overseas since the pandemic so I should probably bring some clear quart size zip locks or stashers just in case when I fly. Thank you for the heads up! Thank you for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback on my other videos!
This may be a dumb question but How did you get the straw full of honey thru TSA? Don’t they consider it liquid and if not, couldn’t you do the same thing with peanut butter (by melting it a little), or jelly? Just curious.
Hi there! First of all not a dumb question! I think because it was such a small amount of liquid they didn’t flag it at all as a matter fact I was not asked to remove any of these bento boxes from my carry-on at all. Now, I live in the United States and we might have different rules here than if you live in a different country. I know that some people have commented that if you live in New Zealand you cannot bring in honey at all. Of course I’m not expecting to bring this into a country because I’m going to be eating it on the plane. I also use the small packets of honey sometimes that have never been flagged at TSA as well. With regard to peanut butter it’s so funny you should ask because I just am editing a video right now on how I bring peanut butter on the plane. Look for the video coming out this week!
I watch your videos on my iPad because I don’t have a computer. I can’t access your links so I don’t know where you got things like the collapsible cup and the bento (?) boxes. Please could you post that info here or reply to my comment. Thank you 😁

Hi Kenyatta! Yes. Most backpacking and plastic utensils are permitted. Of course, this depends on the TSA agent. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hi Linda, they did not even ask me to remove it from my carry-on. I think because everything was plastic and there was no liquid there was no reason to inspect it. Hope that helps and I want to thank you for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback my other videos!
They did not ask me to remove the snacks at all from my bag! I think once it went through x-ray they could see that it was just solid food and nothing that was a paste or could be spreadable. Of course each country region and TSA security is independent and you never know what someone will ask you to remove. I have traveled several times with snacks like this and I have never been asked to remove it as long as I don’t have something spreadable or liquid. Thank you so much for watching and commenting and I would appreciate your feedback on my other videos!
Other than outer island anywhere else from hawaii is a long flight, so even though hawaiian still serves food we usually buy ourselves bentos, everywhere here in hawaii sells bento, even 7 11. Or we make spam musubi, as for the hot water yes the FA was right, I am a retired FA. So I just go to Starbucks they do not charge for hot water, but they give it to me in a large cup I then pour it into my flask. I can get hot water in the lounge but it’s not that hot like Starbucks. And I just leave a tip in the jar so no need to buy anything. Your snacks look just like the snacks they have on virgin air very good selection. Again a fantastic video thumbs up way up, so looking forward to your next. Thank you for your hard work
Hi Jodi, food is allowed thru security. Liquids are not allowed. I have these bent boxes completely packed and in my carry-on and I didn’t even have to take them out.
@@jodiriddle2 I would say the caveat to that is anything that’s spreadable like peanut butter or hummus or anything spreadable is also going to Be considered a liquid so that would have to be put in a liquid bag but I didn’t have anything spreadable in this Bento box.

Hi Nancy, yes many options can go into the boxes. We prefer figs over grapes so that is what we brought. We packed the food that we wanted to eat on this flight.
Who would have ever thought that one could ever make air travel so much more pleasurable! You are an absolute genius.
OMG thank you so much 😊
Thank you so much, Anthony!!!
Charcuterie: lunchables for adults! 😂
@@chrysvest4746 yup! It was perfect!
@@TheoryofSimpleI get collapsible containers like that from my sister via Norwex. They would be perfect for this!
@@TheoryofSimple you would be very welcome in our country if you make it over here! Yes, similar reasons to California.
Same with Aus. 🇦🇺 We also have stringent food laws. Food needs to be declared. No open packets.
@@AnneMB955 good to know!! Thanks for the heads up!!

Nice idea! Love tip to get hot water at airport vs on plane

Hi Kara!

Trader Joe’s organic cocoa mix tastes great and not too sweet. Each packet is good for 2 cups on plane.

Love the idea but don't want to have to tote the boxes around on my trip to Europe next month.
My mainstays are baby food pouches! I'm vegan on a kidney diet, so I love the sweet potatoes and all the fruit blends!!!

@@TheoryofSimple Very true! A silicone bag would be a much better option for durability - and the ability to be reused. 💜
Hi there! Thank you so much! I am not a Virgo I am a cancer! 🙂 I think it’s a blend of German and Japanese that makes me a little bit OCD about this!😜
I like your ideas, I do the same for hot water but after trying many different thermal cups, I found that the brand Zojirushi kept the water hot like right out of a kettle for many hours.
Do you have problem with security check on bento boxes? We will travel to Toronto from California next week. Nice tips.
I have not had a problem. You can bring your own food. Any liquids need to be in TSA approved containers and under 3.4 oz. 😊❤️
Can you do that? Remember the airlines won't let you take anything over 3oz.
@@helenmak5663 yes! As long as you are comfortable that’s key!❤️

@@TheoryofSimple Thank you. So the honest way to bring food on aboard in its own bag is to have to purchase it in the airport? Is that correct?
@@susanjohnston4066 I believe technically if you buy food at the airport and it’s in a bag they let you bring it on because they’re assuming you’re going to eat it and then throw it away. Because these are bento boxes and they are of some size what I didn’t want was for them to say that was a third bag and then I had to rearrange everything so I did put it in my carry-on personal item.
Your planes are so much nicer than ours (UK) we cant take elaborate snacks on ours
Some airlines have smaller planes and this one was actually a really small plane with just two seats on one side of the aisle and two seats on the other but we were able to make this work on the small seat trays. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Where you put the foods does it consider another personal bag?
I put it in my personal carryon bag. 😊
Great video! Question- Don't you have to take out food when going thru tsa security?
Hi Mama Nothing! I did not have to remove any of that when I went through TSA because none of it was a liquid. Can you bring things like peanut butter or hummus or cream cheese they will make you take that out. Of course that depends on where you live and your a TSA agent but I have never been asked to have it removed. But if they wanted to screen it I’d happily open it up and let them see what was in there. Thanks so much for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback on my other videos!

Hi Jessica! Nice idea! Will have to try that!
Have you had any issues with the knife in the utensils of the bento box?

@@northwestgardener5076 you’re welcome and I’m always happy to help a fellow traveler😊
Some security you need food in clear plastic bags.
@@TheoryofSimple thanks, I live in Texas and rarely travel due to disability so not up on all the rules but I’ll keep an eye out for your next video!
@@EmunahCreative thank you!
The bento box top can be used as a plate!
Yes, and you can also use it to store food when you get to your destination😊❤️
How do you travel with those bento boxes?
That would take up half of my luggage space.
I put them in my personal carry-on. They do take up room just like any snacks or food would but I have a nice tasty healthy meal on my flight.. 😊
I watch your videos on my iPad because I don’t have a computer. I can’t access your links so I don’t know where you got things like the collapsible cup and the bento (?) boxes. Please could you post that info here or reply to my comment. Thank you 😁
Hi Sunnie, you can still access the links in the video description. I have to admit it’s not the most intuitive thing on RUclips. However, when you’re in the video right underneath a video you’ll see a little down arrow that will open up the description of the video and a panel will open up on the right side of your screen. Then you can hit …more and this will open up the rest of the description which will show you all of the links that I list in the video. In the meantime, here is the link to my Amazon storefront where you can access everything in this video and more! a.co/fYiapIn thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel.❤️🙏😊
Thanks for your help. I ordered the collapsible cup, bento box and expandable pencil case. I’m going on a long flight later this year and these things will really come in handy. I’m a new subscriber and I’m trying to catch up on past videos. You give practical tips and I’m looking forward to using several of them soon👏❤️

They let you bring the eating utensils? That is surprising.
Hi Kenyatta! Yes. Most backpacking and plastic utensils are permitted. Of course, this depends on the TSA agent. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Is there a problem getting through TSA checkpoint with any of this? Does it have to be taken out of your c/o luggage?
Hi Linda, they did not even ask me to remove it from my carry-on. I think because everything was plastic and there was no liquid there was no reason to inspect it. Hope that helps and I want to thank you for watching and commenting and I look forward to your feedback my other videos!
Doesn’t security want to see the snacks?
They did not ask me to remove the snacks at all from my bag! I think once it went through x-ray they could see that it was just solid food and nothing that was a paste or could be spreadable. Of course each country region and TSA security is independent and you never know what someone will ask you to remove. I have traveled several times with snacks like this and I have never been asked to remove it as long as I don’t have something spreadable or liquid. Thank you so much for watching and commenting and I would appreciate your feedback on my other videos!
Does the bento box alert security to search your bag?
Hi Kay, security did not even ask me to remove them from my bag! I just left it in my bag snd sent it through!
Thank you for your hard work
Thank you, Jeanne! I will need to make musubi next time!
How long was this flight?✈️
What was supposed to be a five hour flight turned out to be a 10 hour day between changing gates and delays😉
@@TheoryofSimple Wow that’s long! Glad you prepared well.
@@helenmak5663 thanks 🙏
how do you get the food through TSA screening?????
Hi Jodi, food is allowed thru security. Liquids are not allowed. I have these bent boxes completely packed and in my carry-on and I didn’t even have to take them out.
@@TheoryofSimple Thank you. I guess I assumed since drinks and food could not get through to the gates that food in carryons couldn't either.
@@jodiriddle2 I would say the caveat to that is anything that’s spreadable like peanut butter or hummus or anything spreadable is also going to Be considered a liquid so that would have to be put in a liquid bag but I didn’t have anything spreadable in this Bento box.
I don’t take flights anymore but I just located my bento box
Pinki! Love it! They ate great for car trips and picnics too! 🙂
@@TheoryofSimple I watched you all night, packed my bento and other one as well for the road trip I'll be on with my 2 year grandson next month.
@@PinkiandCamslife wow! That sounds exciting! Are you taking a road trip or flying?
@@TheoryofSimple the grands love the road trips, we use state line rest areas as a learning point to teach them about the state they just entered. We then make our own lunches, they love taking over the entire back of the vehicle with tablets, phones and DVD player. By the way Kit is so cute~
@@PinkiandCamslife that sounds so wonderful! Don’t you love being a grandma!? Kit is adorable. My rescue dog!
Good idea-except you could have brought some real food in your box, not packaged. Grapes, hummus, pita etc
Hi Nancy, yes many options can go into the boxes. We prefer figs over grapes so that is what we brought. We packed the food that we wanted to eat on this flight. Hummus sometimes makes my stomach upset and gassy so I don't bring that. Plus the packaged food would hold better if we did not finish it and wanted to eat it later. Thank for watching and commenting & happy travels!
I just stumble this video and it’s just too much to carry all that.. I hardly eat when I travel…lol who do that? Might as well just stay home.😼
When you’re doing long flights with long layovers, it’s a lot cheaper to bring your own food then to purchase anything on the airline or in the airport😊
What do you think about packing ramen? 😂 yes I know I know...so is that a yes or no?
@@ro-zeea.8734 i do eat ramen! I have a couple brands that i use that are “healthier” but they are comfort food on a flight! I bring done extras that I dehydrate to help make it tastier snd healthier!💕😊
@@TheoryofSimple oh good idea! Sometimes you just want a good ramen instead of the snacks the airlines give you.
@@ro-zeea.8734 agree! Especially since when you’re flying to the air pressure changes your taste buds and you really do need some thing that has a little more salt in it or sugar in it so that you can taste it better and Ramen always hit the spot😊

Dressing is a liquid.
@@morrisyarnell6083 yes…. and you are allowed to bring any liquids you like as long as they fit within the TSA liquid requirements.😊
