Cathy your nails look so nice. Mine totally go to pot when MN winter weather rolls in. It really does a number on my nails. They split and peel. I really slather my hands and nails with lotion every night before bed. I wash my hands 40-50 times a day easily. I have been taking care of my 93.5 yr old mom with dementia 24/7 for last three and a half years. She recently fell and broke her neck, shoulder blade and thumb. After 8 days in St. Joe's she came home, not to a TCU. So her care has been even more intense. So I'm hand washing even more. I haven't found much time for card crafting, or nails and hair. But I sure enjoyed watching this great vid. Thanks for sharing this Cathy.
Oh Summer, sending you some love to you and your mom. I know that hand washing, while needed, really dries out our Minnesota hands! The cuticle serum might be good for your nails! I love the stuff!
I originally thought you doing this was not something I would care to watch. Curiosity got the better of me so I watched. Very impressive!! Taking time for me isn’t always in the front of my mind but this looks easy enough to do. Plus.....I love the little cart and products! lol!
Yeah, this isn't a typical video for me, but… I figured maybe it would inspire people to do their nails at home… a little forced downtime in our busy lives, right?
This was so much fun to watch! I really prefer to do my own nails but don’t get around to it very often. This video gave me many tips to make the process easier and to increase the time my mani lasts. Thanks, Cathy. 🥰
I just recently started doing my own gel nails and love all of your tips. I want to find a gel polish equivalent of the color you used today. It is fantastic. TFS
Loved this video and it came at the perfect time for me. Since I really don’t like to see chipped polish, I haven’t been doing much of anything with them lately. I’m inspired now Kathy! Thank you so much.
I've always avoided doing a mani at home; pedi sure but didn't think I'd be able to adequately polish my right hand with my left (right handed) but watching your video has inspired me. I went over to the OJ site and just ordered the everything box and can't wait to get those scrumptious colors for Fall! if I love them, I'll order a set for my daughter and DIL as a surprise. thanks Cathy!
You can do it! Truly you can! I know many folks had to quit going to salons and switched over to Olive & June and never looked back! Today, my nails are a bit longer than I normally keep them and it feels weird! lol. but… it's probably because of the Olive & June Nail Strengthner! That stuff is great for natural nails! :)
Since I can't go to Olive and June (or any salon for that matter) right now. So excited to try this! I bought the mani kit. I am horrible at doing my own nails. Hoping for the best! Thank you for this!
Have fun! And they have TONS of great resources on Instagram. They're always doing live videos and there is a new mani boot camp coming on their stories soon! Follow them on IG for more!
OK.. I pulled the trigger, and got my kit. Thank you Cathy for doing this video. I love this polish. I am on day 4, no chips, I am top coating every other day. So far so good!!!
Thank you for posting this video....I love the look of my nails after a salon manicure but I don't have the time or $$ to do it as often as I like so seeing this video and how easy you make it look has convinced me that I need these products....I just ordered the studio box and can't wait for it to arrive! I also love your little carry all bucket...heading over to Amazon right now :)
Hey Julie! Enjoy! I also posted a new video with a french mani, too. ruclips.net/video/BXP5dq_qzE4/видео.html One thing I have stopped doing, mostly, is the washing the hands step after nail prep. I have learned from Olive & June that your mani lasts longer if you don't do that before painting! Have fun!
WOW!! I got my first order of Olive and June and I am SOLD! Holy cow!! Thank you for this tutorial! I have not painted my nails in YEARS. Mainly because they would chip and with my job, my nails would dry out more frequently causing more damage to my nail polish. But, this polish feels different. Like not ur typical polish? I don’t know but I know I will be keeping these going AND I got the new Pedi system coming in the mail soon!! 😁 Thank you, Cathy! My nails look soooo pretty now!!💕💕💕
It really IS great stuff. I just got the Winter set, painted XOXO on hands last night and it's literally the pink I have been waiting for. And yep, that pedi kit is on its way to me, too! Enjoy! A great product. A great company!
Thank you so much! This video helped so much before my first application. I have looked, but cannot find the info on the storage box - could you provide?
Hi....can you tell me how long your Mani lasted along with applying the top coat daily before it was time for a new Mani? And when applying top coat to maintain, how long did you have wait for it to dry?
Sure thing! So… mani lasted 7 days, and even on day 7, it looked good, but my friend wanted to treat me to a salon mani, so I said, "If you insist!) When I top coat (and I usually do it ether first thing in the morning when I'm sitting and starting out my work day plowing through email, or at night after dinner), I wait about 15 minutes to do anything. That's just my go to wait period, so I know it's good to go. I look at it as a little forced downtime, you know? I am actually almost out of my top coat. Time to order more!
Just got my first Olive and June kit! Quick question -how long does the nail polish remover last for you? I didn’t buy extra nail polish remover and I’m not sure if I should 🤔
It depends, Stephanie! I have gone through a few of them. It seems like when I do french manicures (which I do frequently!), it tends to make the remove a bit milky. I think it's the white. I just got a new pot the other day, and removed some of the dark WKF polish (a green) and then tested out a bunch of the reds from O&J (side note, JG is GORGEOUS!) and we'll see how long the pot lasts. Because i only do nail at home, I usually keep back ups of all the core things! Polish remover. Serum. And now the hand serum. Oh, I always keep extra top coat! Not sure if that helps! But i do love that pot, especially when I am doing my nails, mess one up and have to start over. It's so easy to dip, remove and redo!
Hi! I'm wondering if these polishes always cover in 2 coats? I just finished doing my nails with a different brand. I did 3 coats of color, and I still have some spots that show through. That's so frustrating! Thanks!
Great video! I never thought to buy multiple cuticle serum tubes. Need to put that on my list to buy. My cuticles need all the nourishment they can get. As I'm typing this on day 3 of my O&J mani, I'm looking at one pretty beautiful mani. Thanks to O&J and to YOU for introducing me to them. You need an affiliate link!
Hope you like it! I really do love their polish. In fact, they just released a brand new fall collection! I ordered it a few days ago and can't wait! I actually did an updated video if you're interested in french mani's with O&J polish: ruclips.net/video/BXP5dq_qzE4/видео.html
Hey Bina, I usually do 10 minutes between each coat. I just set a timer on my watch and do other things that don't involve my hands too heavily! Like computer work or Netflix!
Great video but I have a tip for u: don’t wash ur hands after, just dip them In the pot because hand soap contains oils. Wash ur hands before, and then use the acetone. I learned this from the olive and June 101 mani video
I purchased their kit about 6 weeks ago and still have not received it. I have received 2 updates saying that because of the Covid virus and overwhelming orders they are behind The last order said that it would be shipping by the end of the week. That was 2 weeks ago and I live in the same city as they are based. So don't need it any time soon.
You make that color appealing. If I were to just see it in the bottle, I think I would overlook it. Ty
It's a really nice neutral! I haven't put it on my nails for a while now! Might have to do it next!

Thank you so much for posting this! I’ve been eyeing the Olive & June products for awhile and I’m glad to see them in use! Beautiful nails!

I was just gifted O & J mani set for Christmas. Love it!!
Oh enjoy! And get ready to get hooked!
This was so much fun to watch! I really prefer to do my own nails but don’t get around to it very often. This video gave me many tips to make the process easier and to increase the time my mani lasts. Thanks, Cathy. 🥰
Thanks for watching, Wendy. I know it's not my usual thing but… I really do love their products and their approach!
I just recently started doing my own gel nails and love all of your tips. I want to find a gel polish equivalent of the color you used today. It is fantastic. TFS
Ohhhh, fun! Is it pretty easy to do gel at home?
Loved this video and it came at the perfect time for me. Since I really don’t like to see chipped polish, I haven’t been doing much of anything with them lately. I’m inspired now Kathy! Thank you so much.
Dry nail beds before you start, and then top coat it every few days!

Oh that box is GREAT! And it really is great polish, with no icky ingredients!
Great tutorial - you do a beautiful job! I'll be checking out their product line - thanks so much Cathy!
I so appreciate your short natural nail. I want to quit the acrylic nail and my nails always end up that length. Your nails look great.
You can do it! Truly you can! I know many folks had to quit going to salons and switched over to Olive & June and never looked back! You mean the full box it comes in? It ships as part of the whole system! You can get that here: crrnt.app/M8bDDgYz
I was actually looking for the container you use. The metal “pail” with wooden handle. The container you show at the beginning of the video.

Thanks for posting this, enjoyed watching what you use. 💅🏻
Thank you for this tutorial! It helped me out a lot!
Thanks so much for this video! I’m going to check out Olive and June.
Please do! I'm going to be placing my next order this weekend!
Thank you for sharing! I’ve been looking at their products since you mentioned them on your Instagram feed.
Thanks for watching! I really love their collection.
Hi! I'm wondering if these polishes always cover in 2 coats? I just finished doing my nails with a different brand. I did 3 coats of color, and I still have some spots that show through. That's so frustrating! Thanks!
Well, it depends on the color. I tend to do three of the lighter shades, but the darker ones, i only do two. I get that frustration!
Great video! I never thought to buy multiple cuticle serum tubes. Need to put that on my list to buy. My cuticles need all the nourishment they can get. Yay! And Carol, I JUST signed up as an affiliate! All the links below the video are affiliate!
Thanks for sharing. Im going to place my order

Thank you so
Much for this!
Great video! You are a pro!
Thanks! I've gotten a bit better at it!
How do you take the nail polish top off to fit into the poppy thing?
You just pull it straight up. It's just an over-cap type of thing!
How many minutes between 1st & 2nd coat?
Hey Bina, I usually do 10 minutes between each coat. I just set a timer on my watch and do other things that don't involve my hands too heavily! Like computer work or Netflix!
Great video but I have a tip for u: don’t wash ur hands after, just dip them In the pot because hand soap contains oils. Wash ur hands before, and then use the acetone. I learned this from the olive and June 101 mani video
Yeah, I learned that later and so now… NO water goes anywhere near my nails! Live and learn, right? :)
Can you send me a link for you to get credit for me joining?
Yes I can and thank you for asking: oliveandjune.kk2kau.net/jWVE06

Good review. Thank you.
This was great info! When are you going to come do mine for me? 🤣
Off Kilter Crafter Ian never say never!!! 💅🏼❤️
❤️❤️❤️
Theres nothing nicer than clean, short, well groomed nails. (I dislike fake, lookatme talons, they can detract from or dominate some tutorials.
I do like short and neutral!
Cathy Zielske you have nice hands, you do short and neutral well.
I purchased their kit about 6 weeks ago and still have not received it. Sorry for the delay.
@@czdesign Me too but I get it. There are other things happening.
oh no they don't ship to Australia :-(
I know. I'm sorry! I think they are looking into developing an international shipping program in the future.
@@czdesign I actually found a way to get them over here to Australia and I'm excited!!!! Thank you for sharing your videos! :-)
What I love about this is that her nails aren’t perfect at the end.
Lol! They never are, but you know what? It's all good!
