    A few thoughts . . .
    The military has been doing something similar for years only on different frequencies and with more bandwidth. The military stuff can pull full graphical web pages. Think of your cell phone using data.
    Make sure the antenna is down and stored during the Electo Magnetic Pulse, otherwise it will be fried. An EMP Shield can be overloaded.
    Remember that there are frequency detectors jammers which cover a broad spectrum. The devices are smaller than a briefcase.

    😃I use the same system in CB band, or just above or just below the free band, I connect the PC to the CB and receive and transmit automatically from all over Europe, I recommend selling the bunkers with CB radios with SSB sidebands and GMRS radios and a scanner receiver

    Good video, been looking at data modes over air options and want something like this and Mesh nodes too.
    We need to get more people into this to enrich the available network of like minded people.
    (or right minded as that may be)
    Also, this ham gear can pull down weather fax pictures and if you understand it is slow like the modems of the 90's
    the sky is the limit for small files. There is also a sort of Wikipedia called lighthouse that is satellite based too.
    Just understand quality video isn't happening.

  • @senseijay51

    Ron: even if you don't do this right away. You should think about adding conduit from your bunkers to a location away from the bunker so an antenna can be added later. A few hundred dollars for conduit now isn't much on a bunker.

    • @jburbinski7057
      @jburbinski7057 23 часа назад

      Oh heck a couple thousand dollars more to be outfitted when paying $50g's to $200g's plus - it should just be automatic to have it built in - just like A/C is no longer an option in your car -

    • @senseijay51
      @senseijay51 19 часов назад

      @jburbinski7057 conduit is one thing because it's hard to add after installation. The radio itself can be added easily later. But you need to have a way to get the coax into the bunker.
      I'd love to have a bunker under my house. I'd likely make it my home office and ham shack!

    He was using ft-8 which I think is garbage. You are able to send very short messages using low wattage. I prefer psk-31 which is fairly fast, easy to you use like text messaging. There are a lot of digital modes you can use with a radio.

      You're correct but until then they seem to be looking for any reason to harass normal people so getting your license now let's you get familiar with the technology so you're ready when you need it and stay under the radar so to speak...

  • @Dan_Hall

    • @JTLand

      The internet is a global network of interconnected computers and other devices that allows people to communicate and share information. js8call ALONE meets this definition, and opening up js8call API expands its capability. so YES, this is internet over radio.

      @@sickofthestupid1067without going into very many details No it's not just ham radio for the deaf. It takes much less bandwidth to communicate with digital modes on HF. You've just demonstrated you don't have a clue. Digital signals can get through in many different band conditions where voice could not. It increases your chances with digital.
