Another cool break!! Stature seems to be better for returns almost like Allure. The Allure cards have that nice smooth clean metal look almost like OPC Premier. Keep 'em coming!!! #dryden
Congrats on the awesome patch auto!!! Love the design and that new orange variant looks great! Stature is such an amazing product. Despite taking a huge step back from the hobby, this is one of the few products I still try to get my hands on. Hoping to hit some Ducks with the group breaks tonight too!!!
Nice break and redemptions! I sent in my Young Guns to Upper Deck from this year that were damaged, they sent them back saying they were not damaged by the machine….I just don’t get them anymore
I hate hearing that. Assuming they haven't changed their policy, UD has always replaced cards they deem would grade under 8.5. But, in the hobby today, 8.5 can include some major imperfections, depending on your own personal expectations. I would say the best way to handle the situation (beyond having fair expectations relative to their average quality control) is to email UD very clear photos. They then can let you know in advance whether the card is PSA 8 or lower.
@@Fultoncards i actually did, then they told me to mail them in, that’s what confused me the most, you could clearly see in the photos how bad they were…oh well
Really good looking set, and real nice Francis and redemption! I can understand why people want hard autos vs sticker, but it does open up a lot more opportunities for people to actually own some of their favorite players. Ultimately I think that's what a lot of collectors want, a piece of history. I feel the more that can do that the healthier the hobby will be. #Dryden
With you 100%. So a player touches the sticker instead of the card. Big whup. It means more autos at lower prices. It means Leaf can compete with UD, bringing prices down. And it means autos of deceased legends in brand new products. I could go on and on why I dig sticker autos.
Really great box and mail day, but my favourite thing about this break is that you’re the first person I’ve heard pronounce wunderkind properly #dryden
Fantastic auto patch. Definitely agree that there are a lot of great players that don't get the recognition they should in the hobby. Have a Happy (US) Thanksgiving. #Dryden
Great thickage. I am getting a little disappointed that all of the new products seem to be coming in at 1 pack at a premium price. Seems like it's either flagship, platinum or premium tier. Kind of glad that I can't afford to collect anymore. #Dryden
Trilogy is 6 packs, Artifacts is 12, allure is 8, opcp is 10, SPA is 10, flagships are all 12, OPC is 20+, MVP is 20+, Crudentials is 8 packs, the list goes on. Theres 6 products with 1 pack and like 15 multiple packs.
I agree, but two quick points. First, there are dozens of products across price ranges, plus tons of historical products. So, there are always options for shallower pockets. It's also a buyer's market on eBay and COMC, to purchase cards with 100% certainty at your desired price point. Second, supply and demand are a dance. For years, influencers and social media chatter has destroyed the desirability of base cards, affordable inserts, and lower end cards. Ppl literally throw base cards in the garbage. A big component of the hobby is gambling on hits, certainly not on low-end cards. As such, and based on distributors, group break traffic, buying trends, including on eBay, etc. the entire hobby narrowed into hit-centered options.
You'd figure if a card manufacturer/company is going to limit an auto to /25 or even /100 then they would/should have the card auto'd on-card... Sure, I understand it makes sense to use stickers on cards that are /750 +, because no one would want to sign 750 cards PLUS all of the auto's from different products they need to sign - but at the very least I wish Upper Deck would have these players sign extremely limited cards in person and on card.... Also, does anyone remember those Classic 4 Sport auto's from the early 90's?? those cards are on-card auto's and they're numbered like x of 7500 - in some cases even higher...And look, I understand hockey players (or any professional sports player) autographs a TON of cards - but if it's going to be a low numbered premium card, then at least have the player autograph on-card.....But I suppose Upper Deck has a monopoly on hockey so they can do whatever the hell they want and if you don't like it then you don't have much of an option because there is little competition out there beyond unlicensed product like ITG... Nice patch tho. Obviously a Pens patch.
I appreciate your comment and logic. I'm probably one of the worst ones to comment on this, because I often prefer sticker autos. I don't see much of a material difference whether a player handles a card or not. For years, before selfies, players received hard-signed autos in person or at expos. The second card companies started manufacturing and authenticating autos, all those signatures we actually received in person, looking the player in the eye and conversing, became worthless. True, even if we had physical photos of the signing or authenticated the autos via grading. Whether someone signs many stickers or many cards is probably similar for the player. Obviously cards can be damaged when handling. I don't like that influencers undermine sticker autos. An auto is an auto. And companies without licensing agreements who churn out solely sticker autos are precisely the competition the hobby needs, to ensure card companies compete and are more attentive to our client needs. Because of sticker autos, I have All-Time Future Watch Autos of Bobby Hull, Lafleur, Howe, Hawerchuk, Salming, etc. -- all deceased. As for lower #'d cards being hand-signed, to your point, UD churns out so, so many autos across products. Cole Caufield, should he have a great career, could sign for the next 60 years. So, I'm not sure the numbering matters. Numbering is gimmickry, given all the products and subsets. What I personally would take issue with is the quality of the signature itself, regardless of whether it is on stickers or cardboard. Again, to your point, players sign so many autos that they pay zero attention to detail. Compare Beliveau or Cournoyer's auto to UPL, Jiricek, Moverare, etc. Compare Sid's to them. No one takes the time to honor the fans the way Beliveau or Howe did. But I gather the main reason that Slafkovsky or some Caufield autos are stickers is the players had significant injuries and deadlines passed. CC probably couldn't even lift his arm, and I'm sure there are disclaimers about signing with injuries. Finally, the primary reason I don't mind sticker autos is it does keep prices down, including on the secondary market. They democratize the hobby for ppl with shallower pockets. I still have a sticker auto of Chris Pronger in a Flyers uniform from a box of 2010 or 2011 Score I hit in a box. I also hit a Carey Price sticker auto in a box of Panini Elite. They remain two of my favorites, as I had zero skin in the game and they were epic surprises.
Very nice box again!!! Congrats on nice cards! #dryden
Best looking set on the market. What a beauty that last card is❤
Sweet Francis Auto patch. Great hit. Love Stature.
Another cool break!! Stature seems to be better for returns almost like Allure. The Allure cards have that nice smooth clean metal look almost like OPC Premier. Keep 'em coming!!! #dryden
Killer hit man. Love the sweet patch. Super stoked for you!!! Congrats!!!!!
Thank you for the great rip! This is a very attractive set of cards.
I really enjoy your channel and thank you for your work in the hobby.

Sault Ste Marie’s own Ronny Francis! His Jerseys are all over the rinks here when I take my son to his games.
What size loader do I need for a patch auto? I recently just pulled a 09/10 patch auto Arber, but nothing to protect it.
Crazy good luck lately! Congrats!
Beautiful Francis, congrats! Always love the look of Stature, beautiful cards. #Dryden
Sweeet Ronny Francis! One of the greats of all time!
Congrats on the awesome patch auto!!! Love the design and that new orange variant looks great!

That Francis patch auto ain’t too bad either. Wow nice hit.
Love that Francis is all over this product. #dryden
Warming up to Stature but not quite there. Wasn’t aware that Stature had the most 1of1s #dryden

Stature barely never disappoints, what a great looking set! Big congratulations on the PA, talk about your kind of card! Thanks for the break! #dryden
$200 for $50 in cards kinda hurts, Francis auto cards from 10 years ago are only about $50
