The novelization of Halloween Ends was good and then I saw the movie. Corey did not look possessed by Michael’s evil. He acted like George Mcfly trying to be a man in an after school special while he looked like some young Dolenz from the Monkees 😂

I really like these round uos you cover more than one film. i think grimcutty could get a sequel and be made into a better movie.
I agree 110% you already know! The "subvert expectations" crowd are championing this film, & is made up of the "artsy" crowd who HATE genre films in general & specific slasher movies. They Love the parts of this movie that aren't classic slasher at all. They want the movie to be an afterschool YA special. :)

Dashcam I found extremely underwhelming; I get the main character, Annie, is meant to be contentious but I didn't care for her at all and when I have no empathy/compassion for the MC I have nothing to hang onto. The last half also lacks because the camera, as usual, cuts away from any interesting moments and I'm saying this as someone who adores FF, this was one of the few I have no interest in watching ever again.
What’s up Happy. I think Halloween ends would have been better if Cory was taller and became the new Michael Myers but he was too short and skinny. Still I was hoping they would have at least done that but the ending of that movie except for the small fight with Curtis character which was too short anyways was shit. They could bring Myers back in the form of a reincarnation or demonic possession. The idea it’s a evil spirit that possesses his body would make it as if is demonically possessed which could always have been the case. I was going to say it reminded me of Fallen but in fallen the spirit can leave anytime and possess someone else unlike this case. But two arguments can be made that hints it’s an evil spirit. When he looked inside Cory a sort of demonic power transference occurred and at the end when you mentioned the line that evil never dies it just changes form were two hints that is as you suggested how they bring him back. Also Cory does once and came back so he may come back again but I rather he doesn’t because again they need a tall strong Myers to be more imposing which is what made Myers scary, if he was small and skinny he would never have become as popular because unlike scream where the psychos are usually smaller skinnier people with just moves, their plot was based around the mystery of who is it and what’s the back story which would t work with Myers. Anyways it pissed me off they did Myers dirty. Ina way I like to think he was reincarnated into a kid and that kid was put into a mental hospital And hence you got rob zombies Halloween as the new franchise lol
I can't tell you how much, I hate this movie. One of the worst Halloween films. Its hard to make Halloween Kills look better and Halloween Ends actually does it
As for Annie Hardy in Dashcam. Personally I think her personality does a lot for the movie but can understand a lot of people being put off by her. I think it even adds a slight edge of realism to the movie too as only someone as insufferable as her would be able to navigate all of the bat shit crazy circumstances she is presented with and come out on the other side alive. To me it feels like they rushed Halloween Ends and didn't think it through I wanted to see more Micheal Myers and come on the stand off between him and Laurie should've been the whole polt of the movie because I was going into the movie wanting to see them two fight each other but come on man she throws a fridge on him I don't know but I was happy to see Laurie get her happy ending never watching the movie again

I just saw take back the night and I think the monster was really just a guy because the detective couldn’t see the bronze knife which means that was all in the protagonist imagination along with the shadow monster like features of the monster.
I also hate found footage movies because it's usually just an excuse to have the worst directing and editing possible then pass it off as part of the subgenre but Dashcam was a surprise for me too.
I'm disappointed you didn't mention that Smile is "mostly" similar, like, nevermind I meant to type "exactly" the same movie as Truth or Dare! being possessed by a smile. Like you guys acting like Smile is original! Lol I've seen that smile in Truth or Dare! I'm not waisting more time with that boring smile. It's not creepy! It Follows is great and an unfair comparison! Respect to you though happywaxtv! Lol
