I love that approx.~5:40~ the mother seems to take pause listening to things all around her & her precious little one. She seems like a fantastic doting momma. Orangutans are so incredible & it's evident in the caring of their young. Not a better being in my mind!!!!!

It's so great to see an infant orangutan with her mother rather than in a rescue center in a Borneo orphanage. Even a zoo is better if they're together and baby has a momma!

Great mohawk hairdo on the baby. Each orangutan has its own hairdo. It's one way we can distinguish the orphans at the Care Center on the island of Borneo. (and sadly, there are hundreds)

Such an intelligent animals
and if they have big leaves -like out in the rainforest - they use those. They are so intelligent that they are also good imitators of human actions. Maybe some zoo-visiting moms have wiped off their babies' faces outside the enclosure.

That big male in the beginning is not happy at all. Poor guy. Feeling trapped. That baby was super cute. The mama is looking a little fat due to eating poor food and not getting enough exercise and stimulation. These orangutangs in the wild would go from tree to tree for up to 10 miles a day foraging for food. That's why they look so slender. Zoos kill the animals spirit and will to what they are meant to do.
