Since graduating, I lost total contact with Donna and according to her longtime neighbor she and her parents moved out of California and back to Texas where her parents originally came from. Donna was my first girlfriend, my first true love...I loved her very much and even planned for her to be my future wife after college. Life doesn't always work out the way we plan and destiny obviously had other plans for both Donna and I. I've been happily married now for 25 years but deep in my heart I have always wondered what may have become of Donna and is she doing OK in life. This song makes me cry every time I listen to it so I try to avoid this song in front of my wife and kids. I must admit though, I have never forgotten Donna...and yes, after all these years, I would like to know WHO'S HOLDING DONNA NOW.
