Good times ;)
All WWII Axis powers lol
In 10 years, China, India, Taiwan
I have an '09 BMW F800S and it fooocking awesome :)
What!? - a comparison of cubby holes! and you killed off the Fazer on price alone - Price we can see for ourselves - an actual comparison of performance, handling, transmission, low range power vs high would have been more useful.
Would be nice that you let us know if, money aside, which is the best one! Comparing bikes based on the price tag, and putting to the side the Fazer because of that, doesn't answer the question - which one is the best? ...the purpose of this test... You should re-think about that when you compare different models
Nice peg scratch on the Fazer! I'm going for that one.. money aside :).
Thanks for the video
i like the BMW purely because they don't have alot of bikes on the market and when they do make a new model bike there pretty good and im a sucker for a belt drive. helps with speed and last time i checked speed is good :D
Hey, not sure if you have had a reply.
It is possible to harden up practically any motorcycle's suspension and there are a few different ways to do this depending on what it is about the ride you want to change.
If you meant harden the suspension via computer, I would have no idea, but there are certainly manual ways to achieve this with almost any suspension system.
To harden up the front of my Shiver, last week I stripped and cleaned both forks, new seals and used 10W in place of 5W fork oil
Shiver for me. So much more exciting in my opinion.
The Yamaha is a solid bike as is the BMW they both are quite dear. The Aprilia is the cheapest but when it comes to selling the Yamaha and the BMW they will hold their value far better in general, check online to see yourself.
Nice Video :)
@Jim21680 The F800 ST is far from junk, sure there were a few issues when the bike was first introduced, but the greater percentage of owners were perfectly happy with them. Nearly all warranty claims made were met by BMW. By late 2007 the original reliablity issues had been sorted and the bike is now well sorted. I've been a biker for many years & owned V.Max tho' to VFRs and the ST is up there with the VFR for real world riding. Just avoid pre 2008 bikes and it'll be fine.
Can You harden the suspension on the BMW? Thanks...
Sounds to me that if all three bikes were the same price you would be buying the Fazer8, why have it in the test if the price was that important to you. I am not really that interested in the price I just want to know which bike performs best overall. Looks like the Yamy is the do it all bike with some grunt to match !
recorded using a fucking potato
is 270p the best you can do -_-
what kind of mileage where these bikes getting on the motorway? i've read the BMW getting into the mid 60MPG range which is not bad for a 800 class bike.
the downside (at least in the states - dunno about the UK) is that all the extras(computer, other toys), on the ST is a clean grand or so more. that was last year when I looked at one. pity as it's really a nice ride.
Is the fazer8 scraping the pegs around every corner?
So, to hell to the resale ability, longevity, reliability and packing in the miles but opted for the useless mirrors, cubby holes , novelty plug in adaptor and go for the Aprilia.
Capt. Sensible who appeared half way through with his microphone didn't go much on the Aprilia was tied up, gagged and left in a ditch on the A303, never reappeared to comment, but we have been informed he apparently loved it. Ha ha ha ha ha love it.
Why no Kawa in the comparision?
No mention of the running costs when talking about using the bikes for commuting
Dear MCN, how do the FZ8 and the others compare to my Honda VFR800 ABS?
😂
@@inked-96haha why did you reply to my 13 year old comment 😅
@AleksanderEide My mistake, I didn't mean to reply, I was in process of asking what you were currently riding? Is it still the VFR or have you changed?
@@inked-96Family happened, so sold the VFR and got no bike at the moment. Hope to be riding again later in life 😢Thanks for asking! 😊
aprilia merece sim, ganhar , pode no ser a melhor moto ,mas sendo mais barata , tem bom torque e bem escolhida a cor,.. acho que será a mais atraente , as outras serao melhores pra devorar kms em estrada
If I bought one of these I'd fall asleep riding along. Bloody hell tho, must be something more exciting out there man. I'd rather ride a repsol stannah stair lift....
what would one expect from mcn
refresh the page and it skips the ads ;)
Not anymore
You guys make it look like the only sporty bike of the 3 is the FZ8...the other 2 guys riding the BMW and the Aprilia just can´t ride.
@groMMit1981 agreed.. but the FZ8 looks like Yamaha did it on purpose :D
@jarvis7947 Hopefully that's true. I guess I should've noted that I owned an 07. The most serious issues with mine developed after the warranty had expired, with the rear bearing developing play. When I took it in to address that, they told me the bike had piston slap as well. So, BMW would repair the bike with parts on them, but shop labor on me. The bike had under 15,000 miles on it. Not happy with BMW, and I don't think I ever will be again. So yes, stick with the 2008+ bikes!
OMG I can't believe the BS most of you are talking about. They are all great bikes and have great attributes. Take care on the street. Race on a race-way and then let us know!
The F800ST is junk. This thing has given me so many problems, it should never have been given the BMW name. Wheel bearing failures. Dead batteries. ABS issues. Piston slap. Poorly finished materials. What a horrible regret buying this thing has been.
test the bikes in the moon: you didn't do it. Fail.
@Jim21680 And in all honestly, I cannot deny that the bike did handle very, very nicely. There's plenty of power for it's size. and it was just an all-around sweet ride. For my size of 5'10", it was comfortable enough for few hours, but definitely not an all-dayer. Now only if the mechanicals had treated me better...
@huskybusa Yep. Right you are. Big Bother is out to get us and his eyes aren't very good.
240p in 2017 @_@
MCN, buy better quality cameras and stop loading non-HD crappy quality vids!
I'm not sure if the ST has the same suspension system as the S, but this video hopefully answers your question :)
ruclips.net/video/hQIKQlbpubc/видео.html#t=65s
the fairing makes it quite ugly imo
@dinodam sounds like knee down to me.
Yeah that's all very interesting but why would anyone go for any of these when for less money and with better build quality you could just get a V-Strom 650? Has a screen, has small under-seat storage, takes a top box very well, has plenty of power..... and is very easy to ride and get along with.
EDIT.
Oh I just noticed this in not a recent video.
v stroms are selling at silly money recently i gave up trying to get one and now getting f800st
How is 270p still on the internet... this was 2010 not 1910... ffs MCN go buy a fkin second hand camera off ebay.
Early F800 ST's had fuel pump failures. The pump cost is $500 U.S. Bad decision by BMW to strand motorcycle riders far away from home. The days of poor design and poor mechanical/electric parts was supposed to be over.
@DinosaursOnceRuled cheap mic !
@bboybino aside from teh BMW they all look ugly
@dinodam knee sliders!!!
Very bad sound quality.
Wanka review as usual.
Ugly bikes
bmW garbage vs mighty YAMAHA ..no way..no1 is fz8..
