TOP NOTCH in your drumming tutorials!!! This is the second one I’ve seen from you and as a beginner I can tell you your breakdown and pacing is right on!!!! The verbal cues help a ton as well as the counting you add to the fills. Nothing but gratitude for what you are putting out to aspiring drummers!!!
Beautiful cover! The band Boston reminds me of Boston, Massachusetts. I know some great places in Boston such as Boston Children’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. My friends Kate and Ava live in the Boston area. Also my grandparents live in the Boston area as well.
Thank you very much for your Tutorials ! Can you please add the whole song again at the end of your videos ? I think it would really help and its always nice to hear :)
@@E7MusicSchool My question Sir is: Do you always start with right hand when start filling in on rock tom? I am lefty with a right hand drum set up. Feels like my right hand is weak than left hand.Thank you very nuch.
@@JohnDavid-ko5qc awesome question. the vast majority of the time you will want to start with your right hand. Music theory tells us the reasons why we would start with right, or left hand depending on several factors.
Thanks for the help! This is a super fun song to play. Next could you do Polythene Pam by The Beatles? I can play the entire Abbey Road album except that song and it's driving me nuts, lol. It's a very short and simple song too, so it wouldn't take too too long I don't think.
Hi Jay! I would love to help show you how to play this, By far the best way for me to help you with that is by having a free live drum lesson with me. (Especially since I have so many songs on the list to make videos for). Email me at Jeremy@e7musicschool.com I am looking forward to hearing from you!!
Nice video Mr. Professor... With all due respect however, I'm noticing the really radical angle of your rack toms. This may give you a feeling of easier "accessibility" of those drums, but I would really ask you to consider working on that a bit. With this angle, your only putting a very small portion of the stick bead on the drum head. This robs you of a fuller tone, maximum rebound and of course you run the danger of pitting your heads if you strike the drum too hard. Just a suggestion of course and you can continue to do whatever you like. However, when your stick is playing more parallel to the drum, again you maximize tone, a fuller fundamental note and rebound. Just tryin to help a brutha out. Peace.
Thank u love the way you teach it nice & slow love you to do she talk to Angels by the crows so l can learn it to play for my sister that is her nummber one song .Chrees.professor keep the good work up thank again.
hey! i love your channel! you helped me learn how to play american idiot on drums awhile back. you honestly deserve way more subscribers than you have now. your videos are so thorough and awesome explanatory throughout the songs! i’m a drummer too and i love watching your videos!
The Drum Professor That’s awesome! Hey, I don’t know if you’ve done this song yet, but I’m wondering if you could do “Nice Guys Finish Last” by Green Day.
One of my all time favorites, thanks! A request: I’ve been trying to figure out the drum part in “Behind Blue Eyes” by The Who. Any chance you could break that one down sometime? Love your channel, keep them coming!

I do! I am going to be doing several shows from now through October, so if you need weekend may need to wait till November. If during a week day I can do sooner.

Hey, just a bit of constructive criticism. Your videos tend to be very slow paced to the point that they’re painfully tedious. I think all of your viewers could keep up with a faster paced video, and I think a faster pace would possibly bring new viewers in. The tutorials are great and all, but it’s discouraging trying to sift through a lot of what seems to be filler to get to even a simple beat. I don’t intend to be mean, and I hope you can see this comment. Keep it up!
thanks for the advise! one of the most common things I hear is how much people love how its broken down slow enough to grasp, on certain videos of much more difficult songs *that only advanced drummers would even attempt** Id probably go at a faster speed.
It may seem slow to some people but I really love the pace because for me I need it almost a stroke at a time in order to play it exactly like the recording.
Sad but true. It got completely removed because it was "Stairway". Usually, if there is a copyright notice, they'll let me keep the video up but I'm not allowed to monetize it. After researching it a bit more, it looks like there are still pending lawsuits surrounding Led Zeppelin and "Stairway to Heaven".
Next, can you do Whiplash by Hank Levy? The version featured in the indie film 'Whiplash' is a fun, but difficult piece that I have been having a hard time getting down. Like if you agree this would be an interesting lesson.
I have to say it's one of the best tutorials for beginners. Excellent long may it last.
Thank you. Easy to follow, breaks it down so a beginner like me can follow.
You're welcome Christine! Is there any parts you could use some help with?
