Hey Jona, Have you heard the music from Dear Evan Hansen or Waitress? I saw four shows on Broadway in NYC last week on a school trip. I saw Waitress, School Of Rock, Dear Evan Hansen, and Kinky Boots. All of the shows were good but the best ones were Waitress and Dear Evan Hansen.
My favourites are probably 1. Hamilton 2. Les Mis, but very close 3. Rent 4. Heathers 5. In The Heights and Wicked. Sadly I´ll never see a Musical on Broadway cuz I live in Germany -_-

One of my all time favorite musicals is The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. It's one of the few musicals I've seen twice. It's so raunchy and funny and fun and poignant. I love it so freaking much. Then there's [title of show]. That one will be in my heart forever. It's such a meta, reference-filled show. The song Die Vampire Die! is honestly one of my go to songs when I need to feel inspired. Curtains is another one. Sweeney Todd, of course. And Hairspray. Yeah, that's a good list :)

Oh my goodness I love this so much, first real Westend show I saw live and I fell in love 2) Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat-do I even need a reason?! Have you ever heard of the musicals of France? There is one particular, that rocked all my teenage years, and I was really obsessed with it, it was Mozart Opera Rock. It was a huge success in France, and they toured all over Asia (like Romeo et Juliette and Notre Dame de Paris.) The music is sooooo good, and the scene, the lights are amazing and you really are in a special atmosphere. The artists in there are truly incredible. There are many others, such as Les 10 Commandements, which was relaunched a few months ago, or Cléopatre, la dernière Reine d’Égypte which is not bad either. But frankly, I highly recommend Mozart Opera Rock! There's even a DVD version with english subtitles in english on RUclips. Greetings from France :)

I'm currently head over heels for Heathers. I love Ham, obviously. I LOVE ADDAMS FAMILY MUSICAL. My friend did it for community theatre and I loved it so much. I also really love Shrek the Musical as ridiculous and insane as it is. And then RENT holds a place in my heart that no other musical can touch. And of course Wicked because it was the first Broadway tour I ever saw. And I saw Aladdin and Les Mis on Broadway and they were spectacular.

Kin Laison Ja, die Broadway Version von TdV war ja auch seeehr enttäuschend. Elisabeth ist wirklich großartig. Kostüme, Story und vor allem die Musik ist großartig :)

1) CATS! Oh my goodness I love this so much, first real Westend show I saw live and I fell in love
2) Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat-do I even need a reason?! I mean Donny Osmond.
3) Phantom Of the Opera-SO FREAKING SCARY OMG but so good, like I did tear up at the end
4) HAMILTON! I am seeing this live next year in London and I'm gonna die like I'm so excited 😊
5) Wicked-Idina Menziel. That is all.
1) Heathers, and then in no particular order, Hamilton, Kinky Boots, Les Mis, Rent, Wicked, Into the Wood(NOT THE MOVIE), Sweeney Todd, and Something Rotten. BUT Les Miserables has been a favorite for hmm, SINCE I WAS THREE, Yes, I was introduced to it when Three, my parents are THE BEST, I saw it the last day it was Broadway.
I love the Addams family musical so so much and I was surprised to not see wicked on your list! My other favorites not on your list are legally blonde, Phantom of the opera, and others that I can't think of right now
I recently only became a musical nerd and the only musicals I've heard so far are Hamilton, Les Mis, Book of Mormon, Heathers, In the Heights, and I'm planning to listen to Wicked bc my class is gonna see it sometime in May

I really think you'd like Heathers if you like Rent and Next To Normal. It has just as dark themes as the two, but in a comical way if that makes sense.
I almost cried when u said Beauty and the beast (idk why, it's a pretty mainstream musical lol) I seriously sing home for almost all of my auditions.
But my problem is, I can't decide whether I love the movie more, or the stage musical!!!

Have you ever heard of the musicals of France? There is one particular, that rocked all my teenage years, and I was really obsessed with it, it was Mozart Opera Rock.
It was a huge success in France, and they toured all over Asia (like Romeo et Juliette and Notre Dame de Paris.) The music is sooooo good, and the scene, the lights are amazing and you really are in a special atmosphere. The artists in there are truly incredible.
There are many others, such as Les 10 Commandements, which was relaunched a few months ago, or Cléopatre, la dernière Reine d’Égypte which is not bad either.
But frankly, I highly recommend Mozart Opera Rock! There's even a DVD version with english subtitles in english on RUclips.

Some of my favorites are Avenue Q, Hamilton, Heathers, Spring Awakening and Clinton (which is an extremely underrated off Broadway musical)
I feel like picking a favorite musical is like picking a favorite child, so I'm going to list a couple of my faves: Les Miserables, Once, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, A Very Potter Musical, Wicked, Rent, Into the Woods, Twisted, and probably a bunch more that I'm forgetting. :)

Also, have you ever heard of Runaways? It's one of my favorite musicals, but I don't know if many people have heard of it??? It's by Elizabeth Swados whom Lin Manuel credits with bringing rap to Broadway. It's sad but really well written, in my opinion.

Hey Jona, I agree with you The Last Five Years so fanatic. Have you listened to Thoroughly Modern Millie or How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. I've been living for Millie lately and the first musical I ever saw on stage was Business.
My favorite musicals are Heathers, Rent, Pippin, Hamilton, Guys and Dolls, and Les Miserables as well!
I'm currently head over heels for Heathers. I love Ham, obviously. I LOVE ADDAMS FAMILY MUSICAL. My friend did it for community theatre and I loved it so much. I also really love Shrek the Musical as ridiculous and insane as it is. And then RENT holds a place in my heart that no other musical can touch. And of course Wicked because it was the first Broadway tour I ever saw. And I saw Aladdin and Les Mis on Broadway and they were spectacular.
I _REALLY_ LOVE WICKED! Just pike your description of Lion King, I was just over whelemed when I watched it. it was the _only_ one I've seen live... I LOVE INTO THE WOODS TOO!!!! The music is amazing! I'm listening to Led Mis rn for the first time and I'm lovin' it😂. Idina Menzel is the only reason I got into Rent and I love it😂. I need to listen to Something Rotten. I wanna listen to Dear Evan Hansen, too. Hamilton, let me not get even started with _that!_😂.
