I feel really sorry for Andrew, especially after watching the movie. Imagine the amount of pressure that guy had, being bombarded with interview after interview with same question. It is on similar level how Spiderman faced when asked did he kill Mysterio.
Just remember how his Spiderman journey had ended abruptly after TASM2, and imagine how hard it was to accept the role again. And also, the legal pressure that would have happened, if he had slipped up even 1%.

I like Andrew as Spider-Man. I really dig his movies. If he's NOT in the movie, it'll still be a really good movie. But if he is. Even if he only shows up for one scene as a quick cameo, it'll make it that much better.

THIS is the confirmation of him being in the movie. Late night shows have always been just a promoting tool for Hollywood, and Marvel is doing an amazing job with Andrew “denying” he’s in the movie. If he actually wasn’t then a mainstream platform like Fallon would never ask in order to protect the expectations of the consumers.
