For those that don’t know, & unplanned, movie was released March 16, 3:16...for God SO loved Bart...& the world. Thank you God.
I read up about Bart's story (since I can so relate to aspects of his story) and I read that his dad set it up a trust fund so that Bart would get $600 a month for 10 years to support his dreams, and Bart got his dad’s last $600 check the week the song hit No. 1 on Christian radio charts. That is what you call Divine Providence. 2:27 - "those people who are successful are often those who just keep doing it" - EXACTLY.
The movie says that
In the book Bart mentions that his dad said that in ten years when that last check comes in I don't know how but I'll still help(im paraphrasing cuase I can't find the page right now)
This day and age he’d be able to eat well for 1 week with that. Pretty sad.

This movie was so beautiful and fantastic!! Just like the song! I literally could see the Spirit of God moving throughout this film and throughout Barts life story. To see a movie like this in the theaters during such dark days in this world has brought so much joy, inspiration, and hope to not only my life but so many lives out there that really need hope, faith and Jesus more than ever. It’s just amazing to see how God works through people and to watch his work. It’s just incredible.

This song gives me chills! I have to say that I am sorry that I do not follow Christian music, even though I am a Christian, and I would not have known about this wonderful, beautiful, amazing song and movie If I had not been watching the Mike Huckabee show this past Saturday night! Thank you Governor Huckabee for showcasing this on your show. You devoted a lot of time to it. Well, my husband and I tried to see it at 2 early showtimes on Monday, yes I said Monday, and those first two shows were sold out. So happy to see that. We need many more films like this in the theaters, as well as on TV. Dennis Quaid deserves an Oscar for his role as the father. No doubt about it! All of the actors and actresses were top-notch and the music is beautiful and inspirational. I could go on and on, but I will stop now. Spread the good word about this movie so that it'll stay in the theaters and when it goes to DVD or Netflix it will be just as successful there. Love everyone!

I went to see this movie last night with my wife. I am a HUGE fan or music biopics and I was hoping this movie wouldn't let me down and it didn't. A great story of a struggled relationship between a son and his father which affects his life in many ways. The song reveal was spot on and gave us chills. The acting is great. The movie also uses humour to break up the heavy story line which I myself am a fan of. It's nice to see good movies coming out of Hollywood.

I caught 'I Can Only Imagine' the other night, (Sept. Saturday 5th or Sunday 6th) for the first time. I caught it towards the end, the barn scene when Bart's dad was on the floor and Bart was standing over him with a bat in his hand. I was interested to see what was going to happen next so I continued to watch it. I thoroughly loved the part I saw. 😊👏🏼 Maybe it will come on again, and I'll be able to see it from the beginning. The song is beautiful!! I have listened to it several times (the original from Bart and also Tamela Mann singing it). The song is truly a worship song and can minister to anyone! Thanks, Bart for sharing an intimate, awesome song with the 🌎!!! 😊👍🏾

the only thing wrong with this movie and the whole story is that most of the time for most people who play music, it IS MERELY A DREAM. only so many make it. not saying this song isn’t great and this testimony and Bart aren’t wonderful, but the truth is, only a few select people make it mainstream. there are many people with powerful songs and testimonies that never get widespread exposure. Christian music, just like all music business is still a business, and is POLITICAL. not saying God hasn’t ordained Bart and Mercy Me, but we are all called to be ordained and be ministers of the gospel, no matter how broad our reach is, God can reach a lot of people through others. i liked the movie, but the reality of God and Christ is that you CAN imagine what it will be like through the Holy Spirit. we can experience him now. for those that don’t know, God and Jesus and salvation aren’t mystical things that we can’t imagine or experience while in the flesh. this song and movie definitely opens doors to those who are of little or no faith though. perfect example, one of my brothers sang this song at church many years ago and he seemed legit, and i was happy for him, but now today he is as lost as he ever was and i feel like the torch was passed on to me. i don’t sing or play music anymore, but i do know God and i see that simply singing a song or songs about Jesus doesn’t mean the person is saved. overall, it’s not so much about self fame as it is about spotlighting Jesus with your life.
It sucks that I never got to see that happen with my grand dad that was a sniper that stopped drinking. I finally stopped drinking nine months ago. On his death bed he was proud of me when I started looking after myself. He passed away the next morning. All my family tried to talk to him about Jesus. He wouldn't accept Jesus because of his war buddies that died beside him on either side of him in Vietnam.
I stopped drinking only nine months ago, I think my grand dad passed away about seven years ago.

I saw Bart's movie 5 times. It is a great story, and the acting is good but there is no Holy Spirit in the acting. And not even a mention of the Spirit when composing songs. John 15:5: without Me(Christ's Spirit) you can do nothing, he who remains in me bears much fruit.
