gargoyles are nuts for this boss tbh, makes it dramatically more consistent, one thing to note for anyone trying to replicate this, do not use barricade to tank mechanics past the initial one shot, it will still heal the boss even if it doesnt hurt you and will force you to 3 cycle. this method also works without taggas, superior/normal scrimshaws and only a primal pickaxe +5, though the more things you stack the more consistent things become. 2:50 avg is easy with just gargoyle scrolls and primal, 2:30s with everything and the occasional 2:20 if the stars align.
You can shave off quite a bit of time by not jumping on the first usage of the action button, instead ignoring it altogether and continuing on the nodes. Use barricade like you did here and 1 shot the boss on the second action button usage. You take a little more damage, but it's faster (still works post hotfix). Without gargoyle, corehammer etc. I got it down to 2:30, so with those you could easily get sub 2:20.
@@CyrussRS The only thing I can see that could possibly be seen as buggy is the fact that you're not stepping entirely out of the floor indicator to avoid the missile damage from above from being outside of the shielded southern part. However I'm assuming it's meant to be this way because the missile really only hits the very center of the indicator meaning the one step movement you're making to avoid it is perfectly sufficient to avoid the damage. Otherwise this looks like a perfectly thought out and executed strategy and I will be learning from it :)
Gotcha, I have not seen anything official saying it was a bug though so I've been doing that today. I do agree it's unclear. I interpreted that telegraph as the timing of the hit rather than the actual area of effect, but I always could be wrong. On one hand you would think they could use the moonstone shard telegraph from Vermyx if it were intended to be a 1x1; and on the other hand you could say well if it wasn't intended how would they not have tested this? lol No win scenario. If it isn't intended, I hope they decide to keep it, cause I think making it a full 3x3 would slow down kills by like 10+ seconds.

You need the packyak for the onecycle 97500/2500=39 inventory slots.

Should state the bug abuse movement you used in the video. Not saying that it's your fault it's bugged though.
What bug abuse is that? I am unaware of doing anything unintended.

@@CyrussRSPretty sure you lose 2 ticks cleansing the first stone alone with 3x3 movement it's a bit absurd.
