My bokken, and golf clubs are visible in a room, and I have a sword display in my living room as well. Those are some of the ways to remind me to practice either of the two (golf, or iaido). And yes, I keep a journal of what set of iaido techniques I did for that day. For golf, there is a handicap system to which I submit my scorecard to a local golf course. They have an online portal. From there I can check the day(s) which I played golf, and know what holes I made a par, and what-not online.
Tip #1 Work out early - I return from from my training at 23:00 and I have to get up for work at 6:30. As I need to wash my kimono, prepare meal, etc, I can't go to sleep earlier than 00:30, more often it's 01:30 or even 02:00. There is no way to have any training in the morning for me.
The proximate cause: I already payed a month for the gym. The real ultimate cause, I wnt to see my kid growing and maturing. When I used to buy exercise stuff I only used them a few weeks, but when I started paying monthly fees, men I had to use it even whe I dont like it.
I do most of those things. Don't sleep in workout clothes. Afternoon works better for me than the morning. I tried leaving some equipment out, but my wife wasn't crazy about that. I built an exercise room onto the house. Work from home, do pushups and sit ups when I need to stretch and move. Have a good day Sir.
Thanks Sensei! I have exercised all my life! At odd times I have slacked off, I needed to hear exercise 1st thing in morning. A healthy diet helps too. All the best!👊
@@AndoMierzwa Hmm .. The way you simplify and make Martial arts easy to understand .. Its will help us if u simplify about Basic Diet .. Diet is imp aspect of Happy living and Martial arts ,, There is soo much literature on diet that it gets Overwhelming 😓 ..
I agree with most of these whole-heartedly. I only differ in the opinion of one of them - it's measuring progress. I think that it's alright to track progress early on. That way you can look at your journal and see what you should modify and how. Some people are more diligent than others, but measuring creates accuracy. Sometimes, it's alright to work with a professional who can measure for you, such as Sensei Ando or other trainers.
I love how you care about that lazy thing but im in study and i need a quick workout to upgrade myself anytime
You can always do something! Even if you’re sitting in a chair, lift your feet off the floor.😁
Thanks, Ando, for those tips.
My pleasure, Ingrid! I know you’ll really consider them! 😁👍🏼
@@AndoMierzwa 😁
Bicycle cardio 2 times a week and a jogging session is what I do. Some push ups too.

Great video, Sensai. I love the tips. Now off the couch I go to do one pushup, and maybe more.....😊
Standing up off the couch counts as one squat, too, so you’re building up a workout quickly! 😄 Thank you for your kind support, my friend! 🙏🏻

Glad you got your routine figured out, my friend! My wife isn’t thrilled with the idea of a heavy bag in every doorway either. 😄
I think I've said it before, but..
I would love to meet you Ando, just so I could shake your hand, give you a hug and say thank you 👍

Absolutely! I’m all for measuring… I just suggest allowing yourself time for change to occur before obsessing over numbers. Then track away! 👍🏼
good day to you, sensei.
Happy life to you! 😁
Any chance you might look at the Power Ranger karate videos?
