- Professor Nurit Shnabel is a Professor of Psychology at the School of Psychological Sciences at Tel Aviv University. Her main area of research is "Improving Social Relations”. Her work is focusing on the understanding of the social & psychological processes involved in improving social relations, whether it is between individuals or between groups. She is engaged in two major lines of research: one examines the processes that facilitate or hinder reconciliation, and the other examines the processes that facilitate or hinder gender equality. Despite the formal endorsement of egalitarian values in Western societies, progress towards genuine gender equality is slow.
In this new episode of TAU Unbound Prof. Shnabel sheds more light on the methodology of reconciliation, looking at both the victim and the perpetrator from a purely scientific point of view.
