I have the 665, it's lovely. 5 burners, smoker, more real estate to do indirect cooking. Chicken's on the spit is amazing. Can cook all winter long even in minus 30c, still can bury the needle at 700 degrees for cooking a pizza on the stone. During spring/summer/fall, I simply turn the 2 end burners on low after the pizza stones heated, works beautifully. The sizzle zone side burner makes doing sous vide steak, pork chops a breeze. Simply dry off any moisture on your meat after sous vide, season, have that ceramic burner heated up, and hit it with your chops/steaks 30 secs each side or less... DONE!
I have the 825. Two Sizzle Zone infrared burners with a cover, infrared side burner gets a cast iron skillet screaming hot. One less burner on the grill side than the 665, the only thing I wish the 825 has. Lighted cabinets and grilling areas, color changing controls, and the envy of the neighbors.
@@oldrustycars is your 825 older? I " think" the 825s now have the lighting options you mentioned. I finially did order and receive my 665 and it truly is jaw dropping. It's even better than I expected.
Totally trust your videos. I just stumbled upon this model of gas grill. I love your kamado joe channel and I’m sold on getting a kamado when I get back from deployment in December. I may need to get both. Thoughts? Like I’m in love with the kamado because of versatility and your chance.
You cant have too many grills. If it comes down to just one, get the kamado. It's a lifestyle. Gas us great for convenience but charcoal is where the versatility and flavor is
Hello Excellent video I am getting the 665 pro soon. Need to know what size tank you have in the bottom. And do the tank you have last the whole event when it is full?
My new one of this model was delivered with the Napoleon logo glow light so crooked from the factory seems to me there is little quality control or they would have caught that! They were out from the dealer I bought it from and could not do anything about it. Seems there is no slop in the screw holes to move it. Now what...waiting to see??
Great review. Does this grill have a propane fuel gauge which seems important? I hate running out mid-cook, especially when I'm not right by the grill.
IN CANADA THE GRILL WITH COVER , SET UP BUILD, TEST FIRED AND DELIVERED UP 50KM IS ONLY $3,195 CDN OR IN U.S. DOLLARS THAT WOULD BE $2,410 ❤❤❤❤❤. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST GRILL IN AMERICA FOR UNDER $ 2,300 U.S.D ❤
FINALLY SOMETHING CANADA 🇨🇦 MAKES WAY BETTER THAN ‘’ANY’’ AMERICAN COMPANY AND WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON 80% OF THE GRILL AND 15 YEAR WARRANTY ON THE BURNERS. THIS CANADIAN COMPANY MANUFACTURES THESE AMAZING BQ UNITS IN BARRIE ONTARIO,CANADA. WHICH IS ABOUT 90 KM NORTH OF TORONTO ONTARIO CANADA 🇨🇦.
If cared for properly it will last. Had an economic enameled Weber E-315 for about 15 years under a covered patio. Still doing great but upgrading to Prestige Pro 500; it’s time.
I noticed the propane tank underneath the grill at the end of the video.... I thought this was a gas grill or is it both propane & gas? Thanks, I'm new to this grill thing :)
THIS grill is setup to run from a propane cylinder. These grill can optionally be run from natural gas as well. Talk with your dealer about that option. Some grills can go both ways. THIS grill can definitely be configured either way.
@@sheilaliljenquist6840 I double checked... these grills are configured one way or the other. You can't switch one from propane to natural gas or vice versa.. you need to get the model that works with your choice of fuel.
I assume that you are referring to propane versus natural gas? You can't run them interchangeably, at least on this grill. The plumbing is different for it and I THINK they operate at different pressures maybe? That would be a good question for a dealer or a manufacturer. I know you can't just hook a natrual gas line up to a grill that is configured to run on propane.
there are quite a few other feature differences. the pro has thicker/heavier grill grates and some trim differences and a heavier duty rotisserie motor... I don't know what all the exact differences are but yea... there is a $700 difference in the two grills.
I was considering the Pro as it has some nice features but couldn’t justify the $600 CDN price difference for what you get. There’s a reason the prestige 500 is their best seller.
Burner tubes are thin, stainless steel is thin, pain in the butt to clean, ice bucket area is a poor use of space. When its windy uneven cooking. I took it back. Junk
Excellent walk thru!
This tipped the scales to purchase this baby
Thank you for the review. I can tell you are a good man.
It’s amazing. Have it for like 2 years, going to add a Classic 3 to it next week. Thanks to your message on Facebook! 👌🏻
Work of art!
Great review thank you!
It's a great grill.
Love mine
Ours just arrived today. I can hardly wait to get started! 🌽🥩🍗🍔🌭
where did you get your from. I am looking from a propane and they are saying 6 - 8weeks
Very good and detailed video. I wish you had the 665 . I am interested in that one.

Sliding bottle rack = 👍
How you turn the knob lights out ??
Hello

I use a 20lb cylinder and I have never run it empty on any si gle cooking session

I'm sure they will take care of you one way or the other.. At least it's not a problem that will affect the cooking.
Went and bought one today.
Made in 🇨🇦!!!!
Canada...home of my favorite grill, beer and whisky.
Very nice gas gril.
However i find you will always get better results on charcoal. Kamado Joe for the win every time.
The Prestige Pro 500 has a charcoal tray for regular grilling. Can you Kamado play in both worlds?
Great review. Does this grill have a propane fuel gauge which seems important? I hate running out mid-cook, especially when I'm not right by the grill.
It does not have one included... I am not sure if i have seen a fuel gauge included with any gas grill
@@ManCaveMeals Weber Summit has a fuel gauge. BTW...love the channel
@@swbjesjr I have a new gauge system for my propane tanks that works extremely well... look up MOPEKA on Amazon... these things work extremely well...

is it normal i have to either unplug the power to shut off the lights or i have to flick the switch on the black box. i thought hey where automatic?
Yes its normal. Those lights come on and off by the switch or by having it plugged in.
I wish they would take out the shelves so you can put a full bag of charcoal briquettes.

Awesome grill. My only concern would be the cart being made of enameled steel and its propensity to rust in damp, salty environments.
Using standard steel is a cop out and a way to artificially increae profit margins.
Grilla should only be nade of stainless.

Yes.
Ribs. Rotisserie pork loin.
I wish you could opt out of all the accessories
Why does it matter which gas you use on the BBQ
If you were to use gas on that one instead of propane what would it do

Two Questions?
How much $ ?
And do you like it or NOT?
So far I LOVE this grill. The Prestige Pro 500 sells for $2199
Thank you for your reply.
😀😁
It helps me a lot.
Great grill, bought it for £3100 pounds sterling, then added a better rotisserie, warming rack, pizza stone and accessories
Any new content coming here?
Brian Miller not any time soon. I have some issues with family that are consuming all my free time.
Understood. I wasn’t sure if everything was going to the KJ channel now. Hope all goes well with the family!
Does the grill come with a power cord??
yes
So the 500 pro is 700 more than the reg 500 why? Because it has a plug instead of batteries for the lights

There’s lights inside the grill, and slow close cabinets , stainless rotisserie motor.. whole bunch of extras. The wheels are different too
is it worth the price though
Nope, over priced junk.
Yes
