Australia was my most favorite trip. We cruised around New Zealand to Sydney then did a land tour of Australia. If it wasn't such a long plane ride I would go again. Happy stitching!
Thanks for sharing your stitchy goodness again. I live in Australia, so I felt I just had to comment! I hope this year brings wonderful things for you.
Hurray for the presentation about the Marvelous Greyhounds!! when I lived in Half Moon Bay , we walked our Bernese Mountain dog to the large fenced baseball diamonds so she could socialize with her friends. There were 2 groups of friends that gathered : The Bernese and the Greyhounds!! The Bernese would gallop along and play with their Greyhound friends, and get tired and lay in the middle green grassy "infield.", panting and resting. Their friends , the Marvelous Greys , would take the opportunity to fly like the wind around the baseball diamond , lap after lap and seemed to be laughing as they circled the tired Bernese...Our family had various situations during the holidays, so not much decoration to put away.. Continue to enjoy all you can, and thank you for your awesomeness!! Looking forward to more Tudor patterns. Of course we need a greyhound to stitch!! Hugs from Anna
I can totally picture the greyhounds zipping around a huge park like that! (And "gallop" is the perfect word for a running Bernese.) I hope your family situations are going better now, and that the new year is off to a better start. ❤️
My husband doesn't want the decorations taken down until after Epiphany (Jan 6), but life often is busy again by that point, so we get them down when we have time and energy. The longest they have ever stayed up was until June. I'm hoping to have them taken down by February this year. I would love to visit Australia.
I have always wanted to go to Australia. I also want to stitch another biscornu before I forget all of the things I learned in your Jingle Ball class. Happy stitching. Best, K
How fun that you talked about your greyhounds. They sound amazing. I do plan to take my decorations down this weekend but have no set dates generally. It’s just whenever I finally get around to it. My tree misplaced the cat’s “castle,” so I’m sure she will appreciate getting the living room back to normal. Australia!
I usually take down the Christmas decorations after New Year’s Day. I’ve always wanted to take a trip to Australia. Thank you for all the knowledge you shared about greyhounds, pretty incredible creatures! Enjoy your outing today and have a good couple of weeks.
Wouldn't that be a wonderful trip? I'd love to visit some day as well. We did go to the crosswalk, but just as a winter storm was arriving so it was very cold and windy. But we went again yesterday so Mosi could properly enjoy the experience. 🤣❤️
❤! Lovely video today! I truly loved hearing about Greyhounds! We start taking down Christmas on 12/27. Australia is on the bucket list to visit one day! Enjoy you new crosswalk! Keep warm!
We have a similar bucket list! 🤣 And we did visit the crosswalk, just as a big winter storm blew in - we fought our way across in the icy wind and then came back home. But we'll be able to spend more time there as soon as the snow melts. ❤️
Enjoy your crosswalk. What a nice way to start 2024. I like to keep my decorations up until the 6th and then slowly take them down. It's just so bare afterwards and takes me a while to get used to and of course I really miss the lights. But at least the days are beginning to be longer so there is some extra light there. I wish you and yours a very happy and healthy New Year also with all that you need. Australia.
We got to the crosswalk just as a winter storm hit so we literally fought our way across the street against icy wind and then came home. 🤣 But I know we'll be visiting the crosswalk again very soon - Mosi insists on it! ❤️
I usually like to wait till after the 1st of year to take down Christmas 🎄. I would love to visit Australia, so many artists down under. Have a wonderful week!
I am so glad people are still stitching up that biscornu, my first official pattern and there's so much I'd change now 😂 congratulations to whoever wins it 😊
Happy New Year 🎊 wishing you all the best in 2024! I can’t wait to see your new releases. Thank you for the puppy 🐶 video they are so adorable. Australia Have a wonderful week and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
I used to take down decorations the weekend after Christmas; but changed that when I learned that the official 12 Days of Christmas is from Dec. 25 when our savior was born til Jan. 5. Now I take them down starting on Jan. 6 and it usually takes a couple of days, so today was the beginning. Your fireplace is lovely and the dogs look so cozy enjoying it. I never can watch your dogs without laughing at how they position themselves when sleeping....silly dogs.
It's amazing how different they are as well - Mosi is much less flexible than Rye, even when she's relaxed, and Rye is basically made of rubber. How are you doing - do you have any polar vortex sweeping through where you are? ❤️
WooHoo! I wasn't able to catch-up this video until today and boy-o-boy, I am one excited stitcher! TUDOR GREYHOUND!!! AND HARE! Life doesn't get any better than that. Counting the weeks until market. My greyhound, Seamus, was a retired racer, and by racer I mean, 3 races and done. He was terrified by my cats and had zero prey hunter instincts. Thank you for sharing yours in the puppy videos. They are always a welcome addition to your flosstubes. Thank you Jeannine.
They're done! Photographed! Ready to go! And I'm counting the days until I can show them. Oh sweet Seamus, I'm so glad he found his proper place as a pet and not a racer. Even Mosi, our retired racer, is VERY happy being a dog of leisure these days. 🤣❤️
Three cheers for greyhounds... yay, Yay, YAY!!! Now that you've calmed down from getting to talk about them I am SUPER excited to get to stitch them! Can't wait for your two new Tudors! Australia has been on my bucket list forever! In addition to all the amazing and unique wildlife they have lots of greyhounds down under as well. ❤
Yay! Three cheers for greyhounds!! Maybe someday we'll get to go to Australia. In the meantime, I follow some greyhound rescue organizations there so I'm always getting photos of lovely hounds looking for new homes. But it's probably good that they're so far away otherwise we'd have 5 more in our group. 🤣❤️
Hope Mosaic enjoyed the crosswalk 🙂 Loved hearing about greyhounds! We try to have our decorations down by New Year but I do miss all the colour when they are gone. Australia is somewhere I’ve always wanted to travel.
She had a very cold first visit to the crosswalk (a winter storm was blowing in) but we've been several times since then and she loves launching across the street to explore the rest of the walking path. 🤣❤️
Thank you for a wonderful video and all the facts about grahounds. It makes me want one to play with. It is time to get the christmas tree down this week. We only have about 15 ordaments on it, but they are all hand-made and small. I love to meet people from australia because each countries people are so interesting and nice. Thank you for cheering up my year.
Hope the crosswalk was wonderful!! We usually put away decorations on the 1st but this year the weekend after. It’s always sort of sad to take down the holidays.
The crosswalk was rough the first day - a winter storm blew in and we had to fight our way across in an icy wind. But we've been several times since then and Mosi is always thrilled that she can cross the street and explore the rest of the path. 🤣❤️
Happy new year! New subscriber here I just kitted up rabbit parade for my spring stitch. I was fortunate enough to travel to Australia a few years ago and it was amazing!
Our decorations came down today(Sunday) I try to take them down on January 6. Rye and Mosaic look wonderful, so does Dunkel. Charlie, our greyhound, sends doggy regards. The kangaroos on the biscornu are the same colour as Charlie! Happy NewYear from Adelaide, South Australia x
Oh it's wonderful to hear from you! I was thinking about you and Charlie recently and meaning to reach out. Charlie is such a lovely color - I had no idea that the beautiful blue/grey dogs were discriminated against in the past. But hugs to you both. ❤️
First time watching, and a bit after the fact, but wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the Jingle Ball class. I would have never known it was your first class if you hadn’t mentioned on another video! Love the format of your videos, very different…informative AND enabling!😂😂
Thank you so much for joining me! And I'm so glad that you liked the Jingle Ball class. It was a great experience for me as well, and everyone was very patient with me. ❤❤
I've never been to Australia to see the koalas or kangaroos, but wouldn't that be a fun adventure! The CGT 's are lovely...I think fraises in French means Strawberries, and that color sure has a berry feel to it. Can't wait to see what you design with it!! Enjoy your walk!
It really does have that lush, berry feel doesn't it? Surprisingly, our strawberry plants are still green and alive, even in the very cold weather! I thought they'd be dormant but they seem quite comfortable. Lots of lovely, delicious berries to look forward to in the spring. ❤️
Happy new year Janine. I had a nice christmas which included skyping my parents in Australia 😊 I enjoyed learning about Greyhounds, thank you. You can tell you're so passionate about them ❤
We take down our decorations after Epiphany (Jan 6th) which ends Christmastide. So this year the weekend and Epiphany were the same weekend so it was a BOGO 😂 thankfully it stopped raining so we could get the outdoor decorations. Love your dogs! We had a retired hound - she was the bestest girl. Now we have a corgi and a shelter mix. Love dogs so much. Happy New Year!
I loved all the info on greyhounds. I am trying to gear up for Christmas removal. It is such a miserable task. I spent two weeks on the west coast of Australia. I would like to go back and explore other areas. I hope the new crosswalk is all the dog hoped for.😂
Oh that must have been a great trip! I hope the Christmas removal has gone well. I was a bit cranky about it this year, but it's done now so that's a relief. And the first visit to the crosswalk was in a winter storm so it was very brief. But we went back today and they properly explored. Mosi was thrilled to go straight across the street! 🤣❤️
Tree usually stays up until the end of January. I may start putting away some of the ornaments gradually, but we like having the tree and the white lights to make the great room feel warmer. (We usually don’t get the tree up until right before Christmas.) I’ve never been to Australia. Patti
Those little twinkle lights really are amazing, aren't they? There was a restaurant near our old house in Portland that had those lights on the (dark blue) ceiling - they looked like lovely stars. ❤️
Your enthusiasm about greyhounds is so beautiful to see! I have always wanted to visit Australia! Your two new patterns sound beautiful ❤❤ enjoy your walk!
I have always wanted to visit Australia as well! I keep hoping that I'll be asked for a retreat, because that would be a double thrill. But in the meantime I can at least enjoy learning about it. ❤️
Interesting information about the greyhounds. My son had a chance to go to Australia with People To People but we couldn't raise the money in time. He then was able to go on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. When I was in high school, in Killeen, Texas, our mascot was the Kangaroo! Pretty fun. Happy New Year 🎉
Oh I'm sorry your son missed out on Australia, but the Dominican Republic must have been a great trip as well. And now I'm curious how Killeen chose the kangaroo as a mascot. ❤️
I loved your greyhound segment! I have fostered two greyhounds and a greyhound mix over the years. They are a wonderful breed full of love and personality. When I see your babies lounging around it brings back some great memories. Since we are just celebrating Epiphany/Twelfth Night, our decorations are still in place. During the coming week, we'll begin to put them away for next December. Australia has so many neat and unique birds and animals that I would like to see in person...a dream for the future. Happy New Year!
They really are wonderful, aren't they? Although perhaps not in the same league as the native animals of Australia! Hopefully we can both get there and see them in person someday. ❤️
Happy New Year. 🎉 I love your enthusiasm for your beautiful greyhounds. I have been thinking about a miniature greyhound as my next family addition. I would love to go to Australia. For now I enjoy watching TV shows and movies that are based in Australia. I just love their accents. Looking forward to your new designs. 💜
I haven't had a miniature greyhound, but I think Fox & Rabbit has them? They seem absolutely darling. And like you - I'd love to visit someday but until then at least there's Australian TV. 🤣 Do you have any personal favorites? ❤️
I had been a proud greyhound Mom to sweet Jasmine, a retire racerback in the early 2000's. Her racing name was "Limpin In" so I dont think she won any races😄. But what a blessing she was to my husband and me. I recently got a set of gorgeous Cottage Garden Threads, from Australia, for my birthday and I can't wait to use them.
Oh Jasmine must have been wonderful! And they get the strangest names, don't they? Our second greyhound was the sweetest dog ever and her racing name was "Stone Cold Valerie". 🤣 I hope you enjoy the CGT - they are coming to market this year and I'm so excited because I think lots more shops will start carrying their threads! ❤️
You were so cute when you were talking about your dogs. I can really see that you love that breed. My nephew is married to a girl from Australia. She’s really sweet. Her mother comes to visit every thanksgiving so I know 2 people from there. Happy new year! ❤
I'm looking forward to your new Tudor designs! As to Christmas decorations coming down, we do the outdoor ones right after New Year's before the weather gets too nasty. The indoor ones come down bit by bit and hopefully are all down by mid January 😂. Have a great few weeks!
We generally lag a bit on the outdoor decorations as well, although this year my husband was extra motivated and took everything down the same day that we did the interior decorations! And now we're very glad because it's COLD. ❤️
I had fun learning how to make a Biscornu in your class and the Australia one looks interesting. Generally I take down decorations on New Years Day. Happy New Year!
Thank you for joining me in class! I hope you're enjoying the new year so far. We have our decorations down as well and the house looks so spacious. 🤣❤️
Love the Cottage Garden Thread from Australia. I’ve been in a thread of the month club and am just now getting ready to start “saga” from Long Dog using a mix of my threads - can’t wait to see how it looks. Fabric is arriving Monday!.
Happy New Year! Hooray for a crosswalk! I can't wait for your new designs to be available. I finished Season's Greetings and love the critters. The meerkats are in my plans to start soon. I would love to stitch Australia.
Happy new year to you as well! I hope it's going well. And I'm having a ball designing critters today - working on new designs and there are lots of animals (as always). 🤣❤️
I should likely think about taking the Christmas tree down. I bought new containers to hold the ornaments as the chaos of the ornament box makes me delay putting the tree up every year. In WIP Warriors this year, we are travelling around Australia as our stitchy challenge!
I've lived with dogs all my life but never knew much about greyhounds, so thank you for that! I take down our largest decoration, the live tree, either on New Years Day or a day before. Our house is filled with Christmas, so it takes awhile to get everything put away. I'm almost done, and now I can get back to planning my Spring stitching and crafts.
I'm so envious that you can have a live tree - there's nothing quite like it! But the transition to spring is also very satisfying isn't it? I already have a stack of seed catalogs on my desk and I'm indulging in some garden planning. ❤️
A friend of mine was making a new collar for her daughter’s greyhound and she was telling me why it has to be so wide and some other interesting things about them. If I ever got to Australia it would be to see all the strange and wonderful wildlife they have there.
I just loved your video of your precious greyhounds & pup dog. Thank you for all the great information about greyhounds. They are beautiful dogs! I usually take my decorations down by the first or the weekend right after. My husband & I will be celebrating 40 years of marriage this year. I would love to go to Australia but I think that will not be possible. Happy New Year to you & your family.😢✨💫🎉
It's a long flight and an expensive trip for sure. I keep hoping that an Australian shop will suddenly decide to fly me over for a retreat, but until then I'll just have to dream about it. 🤣❤️
We take our decorations down on the 7th of January after the Feast of the Epiphany. This is my husband’s family tradition. I would do it on the 1st. It’s not that important to me. Happy New year!
Wonderful! I'm so glad you were able to get some. And they're going to be at market this year so I'm hoping that more shops will pick up their threads. ❤️
I've never stitched with Cottage Garden threads so Austrailia. I follow the liturgical tradition that says that Christmas lasts for 12 days and the 13th day is Epiphany which commerorates the visit of the three magi. Today is Epiphany so my tree is still up. It happens that the dumpster for disposting of trees at my apartment complex won't arrive until Monday, so my colored lights are burning until then. Thanks for the greyhound info.
I have friends in Australia that I met many years ago and as much as I would LOVE to go there to visit them and the country, air fare is very expensive. It's on my bucket list, though.
@theblueflower2115 my trees are themed and stay that way all year. I have what many would consider Halloween decorations that are out all year as well. Different seasons just intermingled as needed
@@DeviSisk I love that idea! our decor is pretty minimal these days, because of Rye the ruckus puppy🤣🤣 but when she gets older we might be able to have more things out during the year as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed your greyhound information. They look sort of delicate, but obviously aren’t. Limber? yes🤪. I have a smaller tree and am thinking about leaving it up and decorating it for each holiday or season. I love the twinkly lights and it will give me an excuse to do some different seasonal stitching. So on to Valentines Day and Spring. Happy walking👟
They are very strong, but also very flexible. Rye is made of rubber, and Mosi is much stronger and less bendy. 🤣 Have you decided about leaving your tree up? It would be fun to have those lights and seasonal decorations all year long. ❤️
I do have my tree still up and am in the process of looking for pieces I can put on for Valentines, Easter, and Spring. I've discovered I don't have a lot of those kinds of stitches, so I guess I'll be "adding to cart" pretty soon🤣I did have fun searching through my stash though.@@theblueflower2115
Loved hearing about greyhounds! No wonder you enjoy having them around so much! Australia sounds lovely but having the seasons backwards would be a bit confusing I think!
I want to go to Australia so bad so for holiday decorations I am over it on the first but I have heard that the first of January it’s bad luck to work or clean. So on the New Year’s Eve we take as much as we can down
I love that series you are going to stitch into a cube. I need to see how yours turns out. Are you going to stitch them all separately and stitch them together or stitch them in a way so they fold together and you don’t have to really stitch all the edges together? Your love of greyhounds makes me want to own one. And I leave my decorations up till far into January because it’s winter here till end of March so seeing the glow of trees helps warm up the winter. Happy New Year!
I love that you thought of that! I've decided to stitch them separately, and then join all the corners. (Having only one seam would really bother me so that way the corners will all be the same.) We are getting our first true winter weather now, but at least we have plenty of sunshine during the day so it feels less gloomy. ❤️
Almost forgot to answer your question. My father was from Ukraine so growing up we never took Christmas decorations until after January 7th, which was when Christmas was celebrated in Ukraine. Even though he has long since passed on, we still leave decorations up until at least Epiphany on January 6th
When my daughter Kelly was in 5th grade, she had a math assignment to show how she would spend $1million. She decided to take her class to Australia to visit the zoo (We loved Steve Irwin!) First class seats for all and one of everything in the gift shop! Our Christmas tree has been taken down and is in the corner of the yard as a winter bird shelter. They will need it with the snow in the forecast. Stay safe everyone!
That was so much fun learning about greyhounds. I really enjoy your around the world section. Thank you for sharing. I would love to go to Australia one day. It's on my bucket list. Our family takes down Christmas decorations by the 7th of January after 3 Kings celebration which is a hispanic celebration.
I had completely forgotten about Epiphany! It seems like lots of people keep their decorations up through the 6th. I hope you're enjoying the new year, and that we both get to visit Australia some day. ❤️
The sleeping positions just make me smile! Happy new year and thank you for sharing your talents. The greyhound info is fascinating. Are yours as calm as they seem in the pictures?
It seems like they're made of rubber, doesn't it? And greyhounds are mostly calm. Rye (the younger one) is still pretty young so she gets more excited and Mosi is pretty placed. Of course, when it's time to walk then she's VERY interested and excited. ❤️
Do Fox and Rabbit in Australia have minature Greyhounds or Whippets? We fostered a Greyhound we named Blue. He was taller than I was. How I loved him! He ran through the back yard with the resident standard poodle and a city pig named Quelque Fleur. 😂
I believe they have whippets and Italian Greyhounds. But now I am very curious - I can picture Blue and a standard poodle, but what is a "city pig"? ❤️
@theblueflower2115 😂🤣 We lived in the city of Minneapolis with a fenced yard. We fostered Fleur as a piglet not expected to live. Live she did until she was four. She had a dog house outside and a cozy pen in the basement. She was leash trained....talk of the neighborhood. Flapper was our city duck.🤣😂
Australia is a bucket list place for my husband and me! Your pups are darling I love their collars, are they wide specially for greyhounds? Or just because? Either way they are super cute ❤
You know, I'm not sure whether the collars are wide particularly for greyhounds. They are a style called "martingale" which is for sighthounds, but the width may just be because they have such lovely long necks. 🤣❤️
There are actually lots of greyhounds in Australia. I follow some greyhound rescues from there as well, and they always have the most wonderful hounds available for adoption. ❤️
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE TUDOR GREYHOUND!!!!! I feel like I need to add side notes: *CAN run 40+mph.... but may choose not to 99% of the time and prefer to sleep. *CAN technically see very well.... unless its right in front of them and you are pointing at it. Generally we put the decorations away the second week of January-ish. Not a specific date.
Happy New year, another fab floss-tube. I visited Australia 10 years ago and had a wonderful time. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and stitchy 2024.
Thank you so much! The Australia trip must have been amazing - it's a dream of mine to go there someday. I hope the new year is going well for you. ❤️
Wonderful information about the greyhounds.
I really loved hearing about Greyhounds. I had no idea. Cross stitch has been such an education. I love the kit from Australia!
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it - I'm always happy to talk about greyhounds. 🤣❤️
Australia was my most favorite trip. We cruised around New Zealand to Sydney then did a land tour of Australia. If it wasn't such a long plane ride I would go again. Happy stitching!
Oh that must have been wonderful! I agree about the plane ride, though... 🤣❤️
😍 fan-girling over your dogs is so cute!
Australia is a favorite place to visit! ❤ love your grey hound enthusiasm
It's a trip goal for me, and hopefully I get there someday! ❤️
I’ve never been to Australia. I’m so happy I did the Jingle ball because I got to meet you. Thank you
I'm so glad we got to meet and that you enjoyed the Jingle Ball! ❤️
Australia
I am glad you shared about your dog. 💕
Thank you! ❤️
Thanks for sharing your stitchy goodness again. I live in Australia, so I felt I just had to comment! I hope this year brings wonderful things for you.
Wonderful! I hope you're enjoying a great year, particularly knowing that so very many of us want to come visit there. 🤣❤️
One of my favorite places on earth are The Blue Mountians in Australia. Lovely to hike and see the Three Sisters Rock Formation.
I'd love to visit some day - it must be absolutely beautiful. ❤️

Australia is on my bucket list. Loved the greyhound lesson. Love your puppy videos. They are definitely in a happy home.❤
They bring us lots of joy, certainly! And Australia is on my bucket list as well...maybe someday. ❤️
I enjoyed the Greyhound info. We always take down all the decorations by New Years too. Australia has always been on my wish list of places to visit.
Me too! There are so many of us here in the comments who want to visit Australia. I hope we all get to travel there someday. ❤️
Happy New Year! I love how the brown pup stretches to the fullest possible range. 😹
Yes, she is pretty much made of rubber! 🤣❤️
I have always wanted to go to Australia. I also want to stitch another biscornu before I forget all of the things I learned in your Jingle Ball class. Happy stitching. Best, K
Me too! I hope we both get to visit there some day. But in the meantime, if you have any biscurnu questions just let me know. ❤️
How fun that you talked about your greyhounds. They sound amazing. I do plan to take my decorations down this weekend but have no set dates generally. It’s just whenever I finally get around to it. Oh yes, I'm sure your cat will immediately reclaim her territory as soon as the castle is back in place! 🤣❤️
Can't wait to see your new projects planned for 2024. The kangaroo biscornu reminds me of our trip to Australia this summer!
Oh how wonderful that you got to visit Australia! That must have been an amazing trip. ❤️
I've always wanted to visit Australia! Thank you for the greyhound info, very interesting.
So have I! Maybe we'll both get to make the trip some day. ❤️

That's always the way, isn't it? 🤣🤣But it's lovely and I know the winner will enjoy it very much!
Thank you for the Greyhound info, very interesting.
Can't wait to see the new designs.
I would love to visit Austrailia.

Wouldn't that be a great trip! I hope we both get to go - there's so much I want to see there. ❤️
Happy New Year 🎊 wishing you all the best in 2024! I can’t wait to see your new releases.
Thank you for the puppy 🐶 video they are so adorable. Australia Have a wonderful week and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
I'll be sure to give the dogs some extra love from you! Happy New Year. ❤️❤️

It's on my bucket list too! Wouldn't that be a great trip? ❤️

Thank you for joining me! It's a pleasure to "chat" with you every few weeks. ❤️
Hi, again, Happy New Year. I enjoyed this video and learning all about Greyhounds. I would love to visit Australia. See you soon.
Happy New Year! I hope it's treating you well so far. And I'd love to go to Australia as well. Maybe someday we'll both get there. ❤️
Happy new year! New subscriber here I just kitted up rabbit parade for my spring stitch. I was fortunate enough to travel to Australia a few years ago and it was amazing!
Thank you for joining me! I hope you're enjoying the "rabbits" 🤣🤣. That Australia trip must have been amazing! ❤❤
You can tell you're so passionate about them ❤
Happy new year! And how fun that your parents are in Australia. Did you grow up there or have they moved there later in life? ❤❤
@@theblueflower2115 I grew up in Australia and now live in London UK. I do miss my family and friends so much x
Oh she must have been a wonderful pup! And your current pack sounds amazing as well. They're all good dogs, aren't they? ❤️
(We usually don’t get the tree up until right before Christmas.)
I’ve never been to Australia.
I really do love greyhounds. 🤣 And since you have family in Australia now, maybe you'll be able to go for a visit! ❤️
@@theblueflower2115 maybe some day.😀
I'm looking forward to your new Tudor designs!
Oh my, that is such a lovely design. Are you doing it in one color? What fabric did you choose? That will be such an amazing project! ❤️
Planning to use Gumnut for the arches and then various rich colored variegated for each “window” kind of deciding as I go! Thanks for asking!
@@cherylrandleman2195 That will be stunning! And switching up the colors should keep it interesting as well.
I don’t take my decorations down until after Epiphany on January 6th. I never knew all that about greyhounds! It would be a dream to visit Australia
For me as well! Maybe we'll both get there someday. ❤️
Love those critters@@theblueflower2115
Love the dog videos!
Thank you! ❤️
I should likely think about taking the Christmas tree down. I bought new containers to hold the ornaments as the chaos of the ornament box makes me delay putting the tree up every year. In WIP Warriors this year, we are travelling around Australia as our stitchy challenge!
What a great idea! I haven't heard about WIP Warriors but now I need to look that up. ❤️
We take down our Christmas decorations the week between Chet and new year. Australia
I would love to go to Australia. Happy new year
Happy new year to you as well! And I hope we both get to visit Australia one day - it would be an amazing trip. ❤️
A friend of mine was making a new collar for her daughter’s greyhound and she was telling me why it has to be so wide and some other interesting things about them. If I ever got to Australia it would be to see all the strange and wonderful wildlife they have there.
Absolutely! Although they do have some wildlife that I'm not thrilled about meeting as well. 🤣❤️
I think we're in the same boat. Since it matters more to them we yield to their preference. 🤣❤️
I just got a couple skeins of Cottage Garden Threads, in the color used for the Candy Cane Biscornu, all the way from Australia.
I hope you've enjoyed the last few days with holiday lights! We have ours down now, so the house feels much more spacious than usual. 🤣❤️
I have friends in Australia that I met many years ago and as much as I would LOVE to go there to visit them and the country, air fare is very expensive. It's on my bucket list, though.
We're in the same boat - I'd love to visit but the flight alone costs so much! Maybe one day we'll both make it there. 🤣❤️
@@theblueflower2115 fingers crossed!
💛🖤💛
I take down Christmas decorations the day after Christmas. Except my trees. They stay up all year. All 7 of them.
I miss my friends f4om Australia
That's wonderful! Do you have seasonal decorations for the rest of the year on those trees? ❤️
I have greyhounds number 7 and 9. Yes I have had 9 greyhounds in 20 years. The easiest dog ever. Great for older people.
They are so wonderful, aren't they? Please give your some hugs from me. ❤️
Presenting: Rye, The Resting Ballerina!!
That might be the best description of Rye ever! ❤️
@@trudymeyer430 It's nice to have a theme, isn't it? Otherwise the stash is just too many options! (Or maybe that's just me... 🤣🤣)
@@theblueflower2115 Having a theme keeps me from feeling like a hoarder😂🤣. Wait till Halloween, there are a few patterns you might recognize 👍
@@trudymeyer430 I like your approach!
I’ve always wanted to visit Australia ……
Me too! ❤️
Loved hearing about greyhounds! No wonder you enjoy having them around so much! Australia sounds lovely but having the seasons backwards would be a bit confusing I think!
It seems confusing to me as well, but maybe if it's what your used to the other way seems backward? 🤣❤️
Hi Jeannine! Australia seems so far away from CT. I will likely never get there but one never knows.
I feel the same way, but maybe one day we'll both get to visit there. ❤️
I want to go to Australia so bad so for holiday decorations I am over it on the first but I have heard that the first of January it’s bad luck to work or clean. So on the New Year’s Eve we take as much as we can down
I haven't heard that but I am completely on board with "no cleaning on New Year's"! 🤣❤️
🐴🐴🐴
Almost forgot to answer your question. My father was from Ukraine so growing up we never took Christmas decorations until after January 7th, which was when Christmas was celebrated in Ukraine. Even though he has long since passed on, we still leave decorations up until at least Epiphany on January 6th
That is such a wonderful tradition and memorial! ❤️
Australia. Chesapeake Bay retrievers are my favorite dog breed
Oh yes, they are lovely dogs, aren't they? ❤️
I am headed to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji in September of 2025! We are taking our grandson for his graduation 🤗
That sounds like an amazing trip! What a great thing to look forward to. ❤️
Oh what a great use of her (potential) winnings!! We loved Steve Irwin as well. That would be a joyful trip for sure. ❤️
By the way I forgot I start taking down my decorations after the Epiphany so the 7th of January ❤
That makes complete sense - I tend to forget about Epiphany until my IG feed starts showing me the holiday sweets (Galette De Rois?) ❤️
We take down the tree New Year’s Day
Australia. After the 6th.
@@krisanderson9823 Awww - she sounds like an absolute sweetie!
Are there greyhounds in Australia? We take down decorations on New Years Day.
