I believe that we all do. Depending on our interest will we commit our minds. Totally love this album. Very angelic and very warm on the soul for me, and I am a 55 y.o male who loves Layne Staley, Mille Petroza, Cornell and Kate Bush ♥️ 😊
OMG POLLYANNA FLOWER AND THE UNINVITED DEMO?! Of course this is called the “Thank U Edition” since they’re B-Sides of the Thank U single! Plus, I love how we have the full photo of the album cover!
I saw Alanis in concert in 2021 in Charlotte NC - I felt like I was watching royalty and I was! Best concert I’ve been to! 😊 I’ve been disabled from lyme disease and am in a wheelchair to leave home so I was so thankful to be out - unfortunately I’ve been very sick since a few months after the concert and have been since but will always remember that concert!!! 🎶 It was when I was in a brief remission and it was a beautiful memory!!
How beautiful that you were able to see Alanis during that brief remission. It was meant to be! Use those memories and feelings you felt to fill your body with light and joy during the difficult times. Alanis has a wonderful energy about her, always has, but now it's even stronger than before due to her continued practice of meditation and commitment to healing and creating a better world. I can totally understand how she could seem like royalty because she has a very strong powerful, compassionate, loving energy and has remained consistent, true and authentic despite the many storms that have engulfed her throughout her life. She's committed, to herself, and to us. A true Queen. In my heart i wish all the sickness in your body be released and your natural well-being be restored. Good luck to you, don't give up, we mustn't ever give up, and just thank God, for Alanis x
Alanis, please, tour in celebration of this beautiful gem. We real fans LOVE these songs. How dare you not sing them live to us? How dare you not sing Death of Cinderella live on tours? Pleeeeasseeeeee
Yes Carlos!!! I totally agree with you! Hands down!! How dare she not pay enough attention to this gem of an album while on tour???!!! (I also get a little bit offended for this “unfortunate slight!!”, quoting Alanis’ very own Uninvited😅😂). Hopefully she’ll heed our advice and perform (at least some) of these gems on her upcoming gigs in the US and Canada. I’m Spaniard🇪🇸, from Madrid, and just can’t wait to see her back on tour here in Europe!!!🙏 Greetings from Spain, Carlos!!! ABRAZO!! And btw sorry for my broken English!😂
@@fernandonunezalvarez2490 Brazilian here. Let's hope she will listen to us. Madonna has done so in the celebration of her 40th career anniversary. She asked fans on social media what songs they would like to see her sing live. She has even sung "Nothing Really Matters" as an unusual opening for her concerts. She has also sung Bad Girl live. I never saw her do that before.
I agree - i wish artists would do random dates through a tour of just b-sides and deep cuts rather than only ever touring their biggest selling hits because it leaves so little room in a setlist. or even just get the band together and record a performance of rarities every couple months for kicks and fan service!
This album will always be my favorite album of hers. Everyone else can have Jagged Little Pill. This one is mine! Gritty, non traditional song structures taking you on a wild ride from start to finish. BRAVO. ♥
This is my absolute favourite Alanis album. So many of the songs are beyond excellent, and most of them weren't released as singles: "That I Would Be Good", "Can't Not", "I Was Hoping", "Would Not Come" and _especially_ "The Couch" and "Sympathetic Character"... Christ I could just about list the entire track list
One of my three favorite CDs. Without a doubt my favorite CD of all time. I received it from your wonderful genius in 1998, during a rather difficult time in my life. I developed with it, I freed myself with it and I grew with it. I learned to speak English with it. Front row, of course, is my favorite song in your entire repertoire. Thank you eternally Alanis for this beautiful gift. 😍♥
I'm so glad I've covered a lot of her repertory, still hundreds left, tho😅. I'm no singer, but she can make people who get her lyrics sing easily. Thanks for this release.
Reminds me that it's 2 years ago this Sunday that I saw Alanis live in Birmingham during her 'Jagged Little Pill' tour. She lost her voice by the end of the night, and had to postpone her next show.
The soundtrack to my life for the longest time - used to marvel at the songwriting. You mean you can do that? Listen to those short-story lyrics! (I Was Hoping). This mastery shaped and expanded my world. Thank you Alanis !!
This album gave voice to so many of my frustrations and traumas at the time. Made me cry, rage and scream. A catharsis in a CD. A masterpiece. Thank U Alanis!
Forgiving yourself after these sadistic people is such a chore! Let’s do it!!! I’ve always resonated with your art… amazing! Don’t go changing too much please! Havnt heard this album in years! Thank you so much for this share, made my night perfect! ⚔️💪🏽💕🦋
Bellísimo album de principio a fin. Mi favorito de ésta Reina es Under Rug Swept que a decir verdad, ambos no tienen nada que pedirle a JLP , tremendas joyas musicales. Todas unas obras de arte. 🖤
Honestly, of how raging JLP is (which is really emotionally wrenching) this is the other side of Alanis' voice - angelic, deep, wide, soft and hard and powerful. This album is by far a spiritual connotation fpr me.
blew mw away when it first came out. personal, intimate and liricall perfection. so many stories Alanis shared with us. chilling SYMPATHETIC CHARACTER, mesmerizing THANK YOU, haunting THE COUCH and delightfull SO PURE are my favorite moments.
You are cool, Alanis. Do not give in to peer/fans pressure. You do what you want to do and forget about it. It is your life, and as such, it is ultimately your decision. We all, that love your music, wish you the best, and for you to have peace and harmony. Continue to be the awesome person that you are. ✌️🤍❤️✌️
This is my favorite album of all time. My best friend in high school and I initially bonded over this-both incredibly traumatized, for different reasons; her from an abusive childhood, me from being SA’ed, but your music brought us together and we were inseparable in a time when we were both otherwise incredibly vulnerable and suicidal at 14. We helped heal each other and I am eternally grateful. I wouldn’t have made it through without her unwavering support. She understood trauma in a time when teenagers shouldn’t understand what trauma means. We would sit together and listen to this album and just cry together. We self medicated on Vicodin and fentanyl patches. This was back in 2002 before fentanyl was a problem. I went on to become a heroin addict and later a successful counselor specializing in addiction and working with trauma recovery and perpetrators of domestic violence. Unfortunately, she is still in her addiction back home. I’ve tried to get her on suboxone but she has every excuse not to. We’re 37 now so I don’t know. I hope she can get better.
This is honestly one of the best albums of all time. We love you Alanis!
Come on, be serious. You know it isn't.

Such an under-rated album!!!
"Do you go to the dungeon to find out how to make peace with your days in the dungeon?"
One of the best lyrics I've ever heard.
Release on Cd and Special Edition!!!🎉❤❤❤🎉 i love this récord
Uninvited had to be included in that album since the begining
it was crazy that it could only be on the City of Angels soundtrack, i think that really could've changed the reception of this album tbh

Lol when she toured jagged Lil pill she sung death of Cinderella live.
