I didn't know Gregory could sing so well, until I saw a video of him and Luther Vandross singing..Simply amazing!! How much talent can one man process??
I'm sure my school misses Gregory as much as l do. Not only loosing Gregory has been hard, having lost Richard elner, Frank hatchett, and Chuck kelly too. Still, all of you remain with us in spirit. I'm glad l was able to share my feelings on behalf of all of us when we lost Richard. Glad l was able to share another gift god gave me on Frank. The gift of healing and pray over him with other students around. It was touching to see him return to teach. I noticed God had him strength to return to teach which he loved! As one of his students l believe the tape he made for Broadway dance center wasn't because we nagged him. I believe it was his way of thanking his students for giving moral support. I was quite touched to see him teaching. He didn't give in to his illness. Instead when l walked by as he was teaching, Frank waved to me. I could tell not only did the Holy spirit touch him with some strength, but prepared his students when it was time to go home (heaven). Finally, my only regret was not seeing Gregory Hines when he was diagnosed he had cancer. I would have pulled him aside and prayed over him too. Though his spirit has told me not to blame myself l still thank God for Richard, for Frank, and for Gregory Hines encouraging words even today. For Chuck kelly also who got me in touch then with my first teacher Vicky sheer. May they be blessed by God! Their legend will always live on in all of us!
Gregory Hines had a beautiful voice and GREAT Tap artist. I miss him.
