this might be the most pure video i’ve ever seen, just a dude on an adventure enjoying every second of it, please continue this series for as long as possible man!
I totally get it, not wanting to share your spots. We face similar problems with our hidden gems for bird hunting. Enjoy those hidden gems while you can! I totally loved this long form format for your channel, too. Good work!
I don't fish but I found your shorts intriguing, so it's great to see this longer format. Your presentation is great, the videos are really clean and your enthusiasm comes through well. Keep it up!
Great content! You're a pretty damn good angler! Having problems with sticking fish on the hookset get a stiffer rod for your single hook baits and a softer rod for trebel hook baits! Keep it up man!
We need more of this, this is amazing, with the frog you might wanna use a heavier rod and a heavy braid and even steel leader if you're specifically going for pike, the more power the easier it is to get a fish stuck with those thick hooks and once they're stuck stuck, they arent coming off... again badass video brother
Nice topwater! Seems like a pike eat pike kinda lake. Surprised it doesn’t freeze out though being that shallow. Might be plumbed into a creek system somewhere, or maybe that water is so clear it actually holds enough oxygen all winter even that shallow.
Love this series! One of the best days of fishing I’ve ever had for northerns was on a unsurveyed lake. I had to kayak a small stream to get there but once I did I caught fish all day. Low pressured fish are much more aggressive. Great content
This is a super cool series idea, inspiring a little as well. One thing I noticed- I think if you loosen your drag a little bit you might keep a few of them from shaking off
I don't live in Minnesota (I wish) but I just got into fishing. The algorithm showed me these shorts, and now that their are full length videos..... oh man. Great stuff dude.
My first full length vid of yours I watched. I've seen 20 or 30 of your shorts. Great series! I live just north of MN and can confirm many small bodies of water simply don't have fish, winter kill happens. It's a great surprise when a fish does appear unexpectedly.
Right? I had a buddy who bought a brand new black Chevy and the first day he purposefully drove it down a road similar to the one in this video and scratched it all up. He just said he can now enjoy the truck without worrying about scratching it!
I’m currently stationed in Alaska . Close to anchorage . Pike are hardy . The DNR of Alaska tried killing off the pike in many lakes because of the stocked trout. They somehow survived . In the chain we fish the only ever thing I’ve seen are pike. Idk if they eat their young or not but somehow they survive . Someone caught a 40lber this year
@@alexmark8917I love Alyeska. Only been once, backpacking in the Talkeetna range 40 years ago. Heard tell of monster pike in the Northwest Territories lakes. Bucket list for me.
I’m curious about the large number of former trout streams the DNR used to stock with brook and brown trout up until the 70’s. A retired fisheries guy around Bemidji told me there are still sustained populations of brook trout in parts of Polk and Clearwater counties along Highway 2 which I found bizarre.
Saw you a couple times on Instagram. Definitely prefer these longer format. It would be kind of cool to get a couple weights and measures on some of those fish. They looked amazing
Full length videos for this series is amazing
More to come!
i agree! the shorts are teasers !!! i need more of this !
yessirrr
this might be the most pure video i’ve ever seen, just a dude on an adventure enjoying every second of it, please continue this series for as long as possible man!

Looks like someone's winter pike spearing lake by that trail made to it. Love the video and series idea.
Hell yeah! He's going longform!
Damn man, amazing find
That's how you get the ad revenue. You basically get nothing from shorts.
Awesome series!
My new favorite channel! Thanks for sharing these adventures! -fellow Minnesotan
Crazy cool and entertaining. Thanks for sharing this with the world.
Great idea for a series and that episode was fun. Looking forward to the rest!

My family has been going to lake kabetogama since the 50s but we only go 1 week a year and honestly this makes my day seeing the north woods like this
What a great experience! Almost felt like I was there with you!
Hell yeah bro glad these are videos and not shorts now
Legend in coming
Great video, always enjoyed the shorts!!
Been following along on instagram and I was so hyped to see you come up on RUclips! Keep up the adventures!
Awesome, I love these type of lakes!
hidden gems!
Love it dude. On the channel NDyakangler I learner to bend the frog hooks up slightly. I love your channel. Keep in keeping on.
Great videos
Great video! Try loosening your drag on pike!
Holy cow that was insane 😮 so many bites and the drone shots are crazy! keep it up bro 💪🏽
that lake is a keeper for sure
I put in the work 😂 followed!
Fantastic!
Heck yeah!
You should come back here in the winter and sightfish some pike. Sick series brutha, keep it up
Such a good idea to bring this to RUclips dude!! I’m excited!
Hunger driven blowuos. Nice round of fishing.
Great video!! Been following all the tik toks so I’m glad you made this!
Man, Minnesota is unreal I wish I had that many lakes in Delaware
That was fun to watch!
This isn't fishing, it's pure catching!
Nice topwater! Seems like a pike eat pike kinda lake. Surprised it doesn’t freeze out though being that shallow. Might be plumbed into a creek system somewhere, or maybe that water is so clear it actually holds enough oxygen all winter even that shallow.
awesome video, this is grade A content, well done
What a great channel!

This is really cool. Great idea!
Bet that’s a great duck spot!
Looks like a great day!
I don't live in Minnesota (I wish) but I just got into fishing. The algorithm showed me these shorts, and now that their are full length videos..... oh man. Great stuff dude.
You're brave for using that frog on pikes lol. Mine was torn after 3 mid sized pikes and it's caught me tens of bass
Reminds me of some BWCA lakes. That's a solid trip you just made. Keep up the great content and living the dream.
You should bring a panfish rod along as well a lot of them northern lakes are great bullgill and slab crappie lakes
Let’s goooo new series
I’ve been waiting for years
Happy to be here at the beginning
Keep living the dream!

Nice first long video dude. My son and I love your content.
awesome video! gained a fellow Minnesotan subscriber
I like how you use your truck as a work truck and don't care about the paint job.
Right? I had a buddy who bought a brand new black Chevy and the first day he purposefully drove it down a road similar to the one in this video and scratched it all up. He just said he can now enjoy the truck without worrying about scratching it!
There must be a ton of baitfish in that lake to support that many northern.

@@rolfekurtyka-bestrealestat9326 the mat su valley have a good number of pikes in them. You really got to get outside the anchorage area to find them.
And 40 pounds is one big fish. I don't think I've caught anything that heavy.
Safe to say with that many pike the bass might be dead 😂😂
Epic! Do you have any issues with wildlife on your adventures? Bear/wolves, etc. Great channel, thanks for taking us along. Dave-Ohio
Very cool!
Love the content! Noticed the Nashville sweatshirt. Fish around here?
Great vid
My dad is a dnr and he found this video very interesting
Let’s make this a regular thing! Much better format than instagram
you should leave a marker stone with a date, last fished by
awesome video
Look at me. I put in a little work and here I am
Here from TikTok( I put in the work )
Looks like a snowmobile trail
Very rare you have fishing days that active with that many bites
you'll find pike in just about everything bigger than a puddle in northern minnesota. series should be loads of fun.
I thought that 2nd pike bit his finger and it made me jump so hard lol
Just subbed. Man that was awesome. I do the same thing, by hunting out fishing spots that are unknown or lesser known
I’m curious about the large number of former trout streams the DNR used to stock with brook and brown trout up until the 70’s. A retired fisheries guy around Bemidji told me there are still sustained populations of brook trout in parts of Polk and Clearwater counties along Highway 2 which I found bizarre.

A long time ago when I used cheaper rods, reels, and line; I would lose a bunch of fish. Not anymore. Having the good stuff makes a huge difference.
MORE PLEASE!!!
Also, I've done some drone water launches from a kayak before and those are tricky
I would’ve never left brotha
Cool find and the timing of its late September to October is feeding frenzy time when the pads die.
But where are the monsters?
We need more long videos for this series
Lake is called Pike Lake.
It was probably a road at one time.
