I've ALWAYS had to find my own happiness. I met my first love at 19 and we married at 26. He was a high functioning alcoholic (never abusive) and more often than not I had to rely on myself to create happiness apart from love itself. I did this by having lots of hobbies that brought me joy. Fast forward to 2022 and my husband passed away at age 50. A year later I fell in love with my twin. He feels the same for me, but we're not together yet. Long story short, I have definitely had to temporarily walk away and continue to create my own happiness. Thank God I've had lots of practice at that.
Well. Far as " practice" goes?? I had only an old Honda VT-750 1983!!(??!)😮 First & original! Shadow that gave me many electrical starting issues. So had to revert to PEDALING everywhere. Fortunately that was only ? 3-7.5 miles round-trip. Living under a class a SLUMLORD ( FROM HELL 🔥)😮; IT was inevitable that I'd leave that place. Buut! It was GREATEST " PRACTICE"- short haul bicycling!! Heavily weighted up shopping my EVERY thing via bicycle for couple years. Then when ultimate S*** hit fan?? I was good to go. Lived " home in my hand " for about 10 months!! Nothing but BICYCLE; BUNGEE CORDS; BACKPACK AS MY " HOME"-- & Big cardboard boxes I'd extra TAPE up for waterproofing.. colored tape so artistic creative expression bungee onto bicycle rack. It was " old hat" after having OLDER MOTORCYCLE truck out on me!! Aka HAVING NO MOTORIZED VEHICLE DIDN'T " HURT" ME!! ONLY HEALTHENED ME UP( ENDORPHINS HIGHS!) ➕ WHO CARES??😅😅😅😅 ABOUT GAS$$ PRICES.. AND HUMANLY IMPOSSIBLY ARROGANT MOTORCYCLE MECHANICS. It's a very real thing in that world-- most mechanics of today won't give you the time of day with a vintage old " rice burner"!@ 😡 🤨 Most motorcycle mechanics only ever want to play with rides that are?? Maybe 10!! Years old oldest!! So I lived carefree and healthy for 10 months. Still riding only bicycle now buut living indoors!! 😅😊😇

I quietly walked away three years ago, three years just last month. Honestly, it broke down my self-confidence and self-concept quite a bit - but I didn’t need to pitch a fit about it. In that time, I became an aunt to a new nephew, will be starting my last semester of my undergrad journey and graduating in May, starting a new career path, and currently working on three creative writing projects I hope to publish once I’m done and have them edited professionally. I have in fact, been keeping much of that quiet and only talking to my sister and one or two other close people about any of this. I’m at a point in my life where I want the whole damn bakery, not breadcrumbs and empty words anymore. I am so incredibly worthy of more. And if its not with him, that’s okay. I’ve made my peace with it. We are just two ships passing in the night now.

This is what I do to fight the winter colds if I can actually allow my body to heal at its own peace:
Lots of bone broth garnished with white raw onion and cilantro (you can of course skip the raw onion but it’s wonderful for respiratory system) and ginger,lemon, honey tea. And that’s what I am eating and drinking all day.
Oh and a piece of raw garlic on an empty stomach (first thing in the morning) you don’t have to chew it just make sure you crush it a little (garlic is amazing!)
There has been times that I just can’t afford to get sick and can’t stay in bed so I get I some packages of tea from shoppers, there are different brands, I usually find the stronger one, because I usually lean toward natural medicine my body picks up fast on the actives of the tea from the pharmacy and so I only do it for emergencies.
