I am 23 n using this shampoo for a year.... And I had curly frizzy hair which turned smooth n shiney with this... Yes it is a miracle but few points :1. Always make this shampoo in iron vessel as iron is good for hair.
2. Never store it in plastic bottle as it won't be as effective.
3. Make a powder of these 3 ingredients and store it... When you need shampoo make it as per your instructions
4. For shine and good smell add orange peel powder, for dandruff add neem leaves, for thick hair add fenugreek seeds

Hi prachi, useful tip: you don't have to throw the solid remains of shikakai and reetha, wrap them in a small cloth and toss them in your washing machine. In the USA, people use them for laundry not aware they can try that on their hair. But yes it acts as all purpose cleaner for two more times. Hope this helps. You can find a small cloth bag or a net bag, purpose is not to let it come out during wash cycle.

@@SuperWowstyle I mean you don't have to use detergent powder again. Actually you can totally replace detergent powder with reetha. Try it out. It is an eco-friendly alternative.

@@Twishhhh I only make for one time use. I soak 4-6 ritha and some shikakai in water. I soak it overnight. And then follow the same procedure as Prachi has shown in this video.

I love this shampoo. It is very easy. I am happy to know that is is organic. FYI - it is natural so if you make extra refrigerate it, mine molded after 4 weeks.
I don't want to use anything else. There are times I feel like a conditioner would be nice.

Eyes hurt when anything enter them. Even shampoos loaded with chemicals when enter eyes will hurt. But herbal shampoos are eco friendly so a bit here and there can be managed.

I love this combination! I use it in powdered forms as a cleansing exfoliant. The volume after this is unreal 😍 it can be on the drying side for fine hair but a good leave-in conditioner solves the issue.

I use this in powder form which includes 16 ingredients. After drastic hairfall it grew and made my hair thicker. But this mixture has tendency to dry out our hair. We have to use conditioner to lock moisture and hair breakage.

I started using this shampoo from last 3 months as I got the tip from my mother and it’s really magical.. It doesn’t need any conditioner I just add boiled tea leaves water and it’s conditions my hair.. For dandruff just add lemon juice to it it really helps... I hv a lot of hair issues I have thyroid and already lost my hair sooo much... now I started growing and hair fall also almost stopped .. very very satisfied with this remedy🥰

I used this shampoo a year back.I had long hair and due to tremendous hairloss I chopped it.I looked for so many remedies but nothing worked.I prepared this shampoo.I added hibiscus flowers and leaves .Im from kerala and these ingredients are abundantly available here .I started using the shampoo and the results are amazing .You don't need a conditioner after using this .my hair is shiny and it stopped hairfall to an extend .It does not lather like the other store bought shampoos but it makes your hair clean and it keep scalp cool.I discontinued this but definitely try this again .love you Prachi 😘😘.

@@akanshabhagat5404 I don't make that much at a time whenever I want to wash my hair .I put all three things in a cloth and make a pouch of it and let it soak for overnight in the morning I boil that water for 1 to 2 hours when it completely cool down I wash my hair with this water after washing my hair I pour. 2 3 mugs of plain water that's it.

What we do in Tamil Nadu is ....we sun dry these Ingredients powder it smoothly and take the amount necessary for every use add hot water to the powder make it as a paste and use it as shampoo ... The best way to use this is apply sesame oil for half an hour or one hour then use shikakai for best results

I have been using it since 5 years mostly when time permits. the shelf life of the shampoo is about a week. You can add the juice of boiled hibiscuss flowers and leaves which adds the lot of shine to hair. it will give the shampoo a gel like consistency preventing it from going to eyes.

@@g.minimoniswag357 it is water but it gives you lather. When you try to use it in your hair. Wet your hair and try to wash your hair with this liquid, in the first go you won't get much lather. But once you rinse it out with water and use this liquid agian on your hair it lathers like shampoo and leaves your hair super clean and fresh.

There is one other way you can grind reetha shikakai and Amla (make sure seeds are removed from reetha)and then it can be stored in an airtight container.
Take the powder and mix water apply on hair and leave for 10-15 mins and wash off.
Because in liquid form it cannot be stored for more than 2 days.
But in solid form it can be stored for more than 2 months.
So powder don’t need to be boiled in water ?
@@sweetspicy7880 you can indeed do that if you're looking for a liquid concoction to wash your hair.
You can use it to rinse hair if it's not oiled. it's useful in cleaning.
The method which I told can be used as hair mask once or twice a week. And just try This mask once and you'll see the results.

Yes, i used this shampoo for almost 2 years, and it did wonders to my hair, gave jet black hair and also made my hair thick. But, had to leave this shampoo because of very very tight schedule.. But yes, just watched this video and found out that this is the same remedy i have been using , though i used to add fenugreek seeds as well for smoothness and shine.

@@nutannadkar2217 I think for atleast 3 months but could be more. But don't keep it in super cold temperature. Put it in the corner of the fridge that receives minimum cold air.

It works from first day itself and I was very happy. But if you make 3 litres worth shampoo please store it in the refrigerator. I just made the shampoo a few days ago and I had to throw it away right now due to fungus 😭😭😭😭

I have been using this shampoo since 3 years, here's the result:
1. Hairfall stopped (not joking)
2. Dandruff Vanished (literally, even itchiness gone)
3. I used to get small pimples/boils on my scalp, they don't occur anymore.
4. My real hairs were jet black but now they have kinda brownish tinct.
Tip: After using this shampoo, your hairs could be a little rough and dry so don't forget to apply some nice serum.

It's always good to go back to natural. I have already used these ingredients.. All you have to do is, get all these like prachi mentioned. Dry it out in sun for 1week. And powder it.there are places where they powder these kind of things. Use a spoon of the powder add little water and apply it to ur scalp. Wash off.. Simple.. And effective.

I've been using this for the last 6 months or so and it's so much better than those store-bought chemical shampoos.. though it doesn't lather like commercial shampoo but it cleans oil and dirt pretty well..and I add fenugreek seeds for additional conditioning of my hair

Just came on line and I remember the name Prachi. Some time ago, you gave a lot of description on shampoos and you gave us the names of shampoo we get at Amazon and how good they are and the one I bought you swore by it like how it has kept your hair so so good. So based on your recommendation I went on line and bought the shampoo, they came in a pack of 2, I did not want 2 but only one to check if it is okay with my hair. I don't remember the name but that shampoo which you said you kept on your bathing room window so it could be used any time as it was very mild. I used it once but was disappointed as it left my hair dry, I did not think it could be the shampoo and so I used it again the same dryness. I had very good hair before using this shampoo. Then I went on line and checked on the shampoo when it was said, a good shampoo but leaves the hair dry. That was it, the main cause was the shampoo. I got in touch with amazon and told them I want to return one bottle as it is sealed. I am very disappointed with the shampoo, but they said this is not returnable. I had no choice but to empty all the shampoo in the drain and since then my hair has never come back to what it was. If you can help me I will be grateful. My hair has become dry, frizzy and the scalp itchy too on account of the dryness. If anyone can help me I will be very grateful. Thank you.

I used today, it makes hair smooth, but it will not remove oil thoroughly. And makes hands black. It doesn't lather like chemical shampoos. But overall good rather than using chemical shampoos ❤

I am using meghdoot powder of aamla reetha and shikakai, it also contains methi and other good ayurvedic ingredients which are very good for hair. I have noticed growth in my hair and it looks more bouncy and shiney. Though, due to our daily life routine, we need to use shampoo sometimes, but if you use it twice a week, it'll be sufficient. So, I would suggest, go for it.

Its amazing one my mom use to apply on my hairs since childhood ... its natural but it makes hair dry if you dont apply conditioner ... incase if you dont want to apply conditioner then put grated coconut milk homemade not that from market one...so it will not dry your hair and will make it soft. take out some time and seriously try this.

I just soak the three ingredients over night in water and after washing with normal shampoo use that water to massage for 5mins and then rinse it off using normal water...it helped in increasing the length of my hair

I have used it during my college days.. i was in hostel and it was a remote area almost but this things were always available. Day before shampoo used to soak 3-4 ritha and next day shampoo ready to used. It was so cheap that i saved so much from it. I used buy 10 ritha at a time and it used to be cost near about 5 - 6 rupee ( in 2011-13). I miss them.

Add fenugreek seeds/methi dana in this and it will make your hair even softer and conditioned .
Also , if you feel this shampoo is not able to clean your scalp ,then try leaving it for 15-20 minutes in your hair before washing , this will do a decent job !

This is amazing. i want to try this shampoo. i am so sick of using shampoos on the market and wasting my money. my hair has become so thin. i used to have such thick and long black hair through middle school, high school, college, and even for the first part of my marriage up until my late thirties and then my hair started thinning out and now i am in my forties. i have tried every dhampoo on the market and nothing has worked to get my hair back. i am so afraid to go to the doctor because i know here in the US, they will just put me on some high medication called rogaine which i refuse to do because
that is all they know. how can i get these ingredients to make the shampoo shipped to US? please advise. i want to prepare this shampoo at home and use it.

Hi prachiiii,.. this is a very traditional shampoo which we use from generations...my grandma, mom, myself n now my daughter... thanks for reminding me n the views abt this traditional shampoo...
Those of u have doubts in storing this..
Prepare it fresh every time u take bath or prepare in batches for a week's use or u can prepare n store for 2-3 weeks.. nor more than a month... its a wonderful treat for ur scalp n hair... especially in summers the Freshness n smell of it is so pleasant... do try it frnds

The ingredients we use in TN
Shikakai
Reeta
Amla
Fenugreek/methi
Green gram
Hibiscus flower (dried)
Rose petals (dried )
Avaram flower ( I don't know what it is called in English )
Sun dry it and powder it
How you use them?
@@bhavaani9949 we sun dry all the ingredients , and powder it very smoothly we even add extra herbs we have like dried mint leaves Tulsi , bringaraj and brami .. every thing should be dried ... Thoroughly and powderd . Take the quantity for your hair add hot water to the powder and lev it over night .. in iron vessel . .
The next day apply sesame oil on your hair and even all over your body if possible Lev it for half and hour and wash off with shikakai paste ... Wash it thoroughly ...
Note : sesame oil cools your body and calms your brain ... When this oil is used your hair will grow ...
Sesame oil with shikakai is best combination ... Try it out

As a kid this was the shampoo I used ... As my mom used to make it fresh for every hair wash .. my hair was so bouncy and silky smooth without a conditioner then .. now I have moved and started trying all shampoos existing on the earth .. but nothing works like that .. trust me... And high time for me also to go back

Hi prachi ...I have a doubt ..I oil my hair every 3 days once over night the day before washing my hair ..I use castor oil olive oil and coconut oil mixed all together and apply to my hair ..will this shampoo remove the oiliness and does this give lather ..?
