YAS NAZOM!!!!! I was born and raised in the US. Im waiting for when I can move to Nigeria. The suffering in this country is tooo much and Im tired. Life seems hard in Nigeria, but at least you can enjoy with your family. Life in the US is soooo isolating. I get a lot of backlash from my family in Nigeria and even Nigerians in the US when I talk about wanted to move to Nigeria! Las las, Nigeria is for me and im coming once I finish school! Thank you for speaking your mind on this topic!
One thing I appreciate about you and Nazom is your Hardwork, Dedication and the honesty that comes with it. You both make it real and not all fake and rosy.. Nnewi Kwenu!! So many industrious indigenes
I live in Moscow, Russia and leaving Nigeria is one of the best things that have happened to me😁😆 I love Nigeria and I tried my best to make a life for myself when I was at home... But I can say leaving have impacted my destiny positively💯 I still have plans for making my country better but right now basing in Nigeria is not in my agenda for now.😁
I totally agree with you, it just comes down to having a solution mentality, have a budget and expect the unexpected. People are making it really big. I am a Nigerian-American and I'm coming home soon.
Congratulations Nazom on your engagement and graduation from culinary school. I am so happy for you. As far as your decision to move back to Nigerian I think you have to do what is best for you and family. I currently live and work in the USA with my wife and kids. Glad to see you back.
I love your nuanced perspective to this topic. I am a physician in the U.S. and i can’t imagine practicing in Naija. Buuuuut my immediate family is in Naija and i have felt isolated and depressed on many occasions in my 20 yrs here. I sometimes wonder how life would be emotionally if i had not come. Congrats on your upcoming wedding
Thanks for sharing your story. It's not easy staying alone in a foreign land. When I moved to the US to study, that was my first time to experience depression in my life. I feel better now sha :)
I agree, I was born and raised in the UK, and the place is boring and lonely , you're alone here, you do things on your own , there's no community or togetherness here. The people are reserved and everyone minds their own business.
You made a great decision, I'm feeling you dear. How i wish i could move to Nigeria like you, i would have been the happiest person on earth. Moving back to Nigeria is easy for singles not with people with children. Happy for you and enjoy all the goodies.
I love your mindset. There are very few of us that think like this. I moved back to Nigeria after my 1 year study abroad and always got the question of, ‘why did you move back?’ I even had to make a video on the topic. Just like I always say, to each his own, just do what makes you happy. Thanks for sharing.
NIGERIA IS A PLACE FOR ONE TO MAKE IT IF THAT PERSON KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING. PLANNING AND BELIEVING IN YOURSELF WR MAKE ONE TO BE SUCCESSFUL. I AGREED WITH U NIGERIA IS A PLACE TO BE SUCCESSFUL.
So true living abroad is stressful and you have to be strong enough to withstand a lot of things. Hopefully I come back when all I plan is put together. Congrats once again Nazom.
That is interesting, most of my international friends usually plan to stay in Canada. it is interesting to see a second perspective. Is your degree more applicable in Nigeria. or you just miss home ?
Nice one👍 I'm also a Die here kind of Person. I spent a few years abroad and during those times I was so lonely and depressed. If I hadn't come back I would have had gotten high BP sef. I have no regrets moving back to Nigeria.
People don't plan before moving to Nigeria no country is easy to live in this world. Think people always looking for excuses to live the country. IF U WANT MOVE TO NIGERIA N.1 HAVE BUSINESS PLANS N.2 SAVE MONEY N.3 BUY A CAR FROM 2.5M TO 3M U WILL HAVE GOOD CAR. N.4 HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS U TRUST OR FRIENDS IS GOING TO BE EASY FOR YOU TO RELOCATE TO NIGERIA. I LOVE NIGERIA I'M MOVE TO NIGERIA SOON I CAN'T WAIT, NIGERIA IS IN MY HEART. I WILL DIE FOR NAIJA ❤🇳🇬
Yes, the lifestyle abroad (London) is monotonous , the life style is work, home or work, pay your bills , do your shopping. The only thing I enjoy about London is the shopping part, but there's more to life then that, materialistic things don't make you happy.
Great to be positive. Nigeria is a country that swallows destinies. I hope there is a generation that will fulfill their destinies in Nigeria. It is not all about money. Nigeria, hmmmn
Just subscribed after your video showed up in my feed.. You are very smart, knowledgeable, and real.. Your thinking level is even wiser than many ppl living and suffering in the Diaspora.. Africa/Nigeria is the place to be definitely!!! all it takes is having your ears on ground, much planning and, overcoming the challenges with zeal.. Even with children involved..one will succeed bc of the communal society there... For those with Skilled occupations, they can stay in Nigeria and open up Businesses so they can employ individuals there.. bc the stress of dealing with indegines of diff. Countries, and a lifestyle full of stress is their even more so then in Africa no matter the amt of money.. looking for a Job as a Returnee is not wise.. the key is to plan, create and develop industries in Nigeria/AFRICA..
I like your positive attitude and even more so your family background you are so down to earth. Keep us updated on your food/catering business. Nigeria is amazing I regret only spending 2 years many years ago..doing guy man...LOL. Your right about highly technical jobs in the UK/USA but even then at some point one needs to look home. Africa has a huge market. Looking forward to your recipes.
Nnem oh!! Nigeria is soo sweet if you're comfortable! I love my country Nigeria, there's always somewhere to go..., You nailed it dear! I watched till end!
Abroad is just a fancy place, nothing special about it , what makes life meaningful, is building connections/ meaningful friendships with people, that's something money can't buy, to be able to have fun with the people in the environment without thinking about materialistic things 24/7 to fill in that void , at time it feels like the reason why you see many people shopping abroad is because they are bored, so they use shopping as a way of entertaining themselves..........
U have said Nne, when i moved to the uk in 2015 with my siblings we were mostly depressed, the dark winters dont help plus lack of friends and family but now im kinda used to it especially now that im in uni
My dear life abroad is not easy if you don't take care you fall into depression.but we don't have choice than to get use to it because of Family.there is no place like home.pls those at home appreciate what you have and make the best out of it talking from experience.

“Work-home, work-home...” girl, I felt that. Mine used to be “work-school-home” now I’ve graduated to “work-home.” Nwanne, overseas life is a whole trial. The loneliness and (some times) helplessness can be overwhelming. I’m grateful I have a place that I can call home. It’s my goal to return to Naija for good. I’m just scared for myself and the judgment from my family members here.
