    NVDA has got to be the poster child of AI bubble. Going up in a straight line, down from $100 something to $421 now has to be absolutely crazy!

    Can you review energy stocks? I want to add more, but I feel it’s harder to value them because of their cyclical nature and thus also difficult to find quality companies. I feel like most energy stocks people recommend on SA or YT is because of their dividend and that is important to me as well, but the quality of the company is more important.

      @@hownwen you missed my point can't worry about things that may or may not happen. It's often referred to as analysis paralysis. My advice make your investment decisions based on the fundamental strength and quality of the businesses you're evaluating and then be sure and only pay when valuation is attractive.

    Sometimes one has to pay up for these growth stocks. I wanted to buy NVDA the 1st or the year but struggled with its PE which was low then from a historical perspective. I couldn't pay up then but now I regret not buying.

    All dividend-paying companies must be devalued hugely as the banks have increased their interest payment by 600%.
    The old formulas don't work anymore.

    • @FASTgraphs
      @FASTgraphs  11 месяцев назад +2

      I'm sorry but that's a false narrative. Valuation is strictly a function of how much interest or yield the instrument itself pays. Dividend paying stocks have existed at proper valuations during times of high interest rates for hundreds of years.
      Once again, fair value is relative to the amount of yield that the instrument pays regardless of what other instruments pay. Additionally, fixed income does not increase its yield year after year like many dividend paying stocks do. Furthermore, there is little to no capital appreciation from a fixed investment. Prices of bonds can be volatile but they eventually mature at par which is where you started from. Regards, Chuck

    • @Han-es8qu
      @Han-es8qu 11 месяцев назад

      @@FASTgraphs
      Hypothetically, if banks paid 80% interest would you still chase a 3 -5 % dividend with little prospect of income growth?
      Everything is relative, isn't it?

    • @FASTgraphs
      @FASTgraphs  11 месяцев назад +2

      @@Han-es8qu with all due respect that is a silly analogy.. Banks have never paid 80% interest and if they did they would be no economy to buy anything. Let's try to be realistic. Thanks, Chuck
