I'm really going to miss this type of open and casual interaction with the players that LIV brings if this merger goes thru. This is what golf should be about. Let's hope that common sense prevails and they allow LIV to continue and the PGA players can also embrace it and make the teams stronger.
You are on the mark about the value, but I disagree about losing it, I think this is exactly what LIV and NewCo are about, growing personalities and selling that, it has done wonders for F1 and golf is littered with some great personalities. I think there will be a new super league (LIV in disguise) and most of the efort will be the commercial linkage to the personalities. The days of forcing 140 people fight it out, with half not getting fed is something from the distance past. How many sports hell even jobs, don't pay 1/2 their staff.
Why doesn’t Cam the team captain not ever wear the team gear? He wears a small team logo on his sleeve but that’s it. It’s like he isn’t really part of the LIV concept.
