Just to point it out to people as well that I completely agree with keeping onto your chips until the second half of the season but you HAVE to use your first wildcard before the World Cup (think it’s GW16) and will also get unlimited transfers during the World Cup so no point in only using it a week or two before the World Cup. Most experienced players will look to use it from GW 5-8 if it suits their team then
I agree 100% - but you can wildcard one or two weeks before the world cup as a free hit equivalent if, for whatever reason, you've managed to make it 16 weeks without needing to wildcard.

Really good video, James. Having managed to top almost all of my work and friend's mini-leagues CONSISTENTLY for the last few years, I have to say I agree with most of these tips. The biggest tip from me (top 5k finishes in the last three seasons) to other aspiring FPL managers on how to win their FPL mini-leagues every single time though, would be to finish on more points than everyone else in the league.
My 3 tips, as a current mini league champion 1. Don't let injuries build up on your bench 2. Get in the players that are in the majority of your mini league opposition teams 3. Don't stress too much about getting picks wrong, no one can predict the future
One tactic I used last year was to see where the teams who were conceding the most goals were conceding them from. For example, Norwich city conceded a lot of goals from their left side last year which meant choosing a teams right winger often led to points e.g i brought in Townsend against Norwich last year who scored and Doucoure who played RCM against them also scored. Worth looking into this when making those short term moves to gain you a few extra points
On point 17 about having bench players that play, keep in mind the impact the 5 subs rule will have this year. For example if you have Reece James in your fantasy team and he doesn’t start a game for Chelsea, where in the past he would normally move to your bench and your first sub would come into your team, I think it’s a lot more likely that real life managers like Tuchel will give players 20 minutes at the end of a game rather than not playing them at all now that they have the option of 5 subs. Therefore you’ll have to accept more 1 pointers during the season and will have less times where you actually get a player coming off your bench in FPL. Therefore I agree with Jim, 3 of your 4 players minimum should be the cheapest available bench players (£4m keeper, 4.5m def/mid/forward)
Hadn't actually thought about the fact the 5 subs would impact FPL in that way, but that's such a good point. I had only considered it for players coming off earlier, forgot it also meant more players coming on!
Agree with the chip tip minus the Wildcard. We effectively have 3 Wildcards this year because of the WC, so using a Wildcard early is definitely a potential route to go down this year.
personally im not too sold on the 8m plan this season, unless you make a really early transfer the prices of each of them will rise or fall fairly quickly and you will no longer be able to afford the one you're after
Great video James! From personal experience, FPL Twitter is a great place with lots of great people! Can't wait to see what other FPL you have planned.
There is no reason not to have all three bench players playing this season. We have multiple playing players from the cheapest price pool in each position at multiple clubs. If you have a non-playing bench your missing a simple trick. Plus you will catch the innevitible prise rises and increase the value of your team for your first wildcard which I consider crucial.
you have 2 Wildcards and unlimited transfers over World cup so actually i would say use wildcard chip early around GW 8, then free transfers around world cup, then second wild card late into GW 30. My opinion anyway
I don't agree with the "have a bench that plays" - you should know prior to the deadline if one of your players will be injured or not. If one of your starting eleven is on the bench, with 5 subs its likely he'll come on at some point.
What does everyone think of this xl? It’s my first time playing so need advice. Gk. Sanchez Def. nico Williams, taa, cash, zincheko, Mid. Salah, mahrez, Diaz, saka Fwd. Jesus, Kane Subs. Kyle Walker peters, klasson, Andreas, Taylor
How to win your mini league? Don’t!! Just sit atop your league the entire season so everyone knows your a king. But then in the last game week graciously hand over the league to the peasant in second, the false hope ensures they’ll come back next year! The strategy has never failed me…
BIGGEST THING IS DON'T GET TOO UPSET WITH THE CHEATS WHO PUT THEIR COMPUTER BACK IN TIME IT HAS HAPPENED REGULARLY THIS SEASON ALREADY TONEY TRIPLE CAPTAIN LAST WEEK? AND OLDENGAURD HOW EVER YOU SPELL IT HAS BEEN TRIPLE CAPTAIN AS WELL AND SALAH AND TAA DONE NOTHING SO FAR HAALAND IS THE ONE
Actually hard disagree with 3) having multiple 8M midfielders.Yes they look decent, and would make for a good punt, but it's too hard to fit multiple in when you also want 2 premiums mid/fwd and at least 4 premiums in defence (which seems like the template this season). I think 1x 8M mid is a good choice, whether it be Diaz, Saka, Fidel or Mount, but fitting more than one in means sacrificing elsewhere
Keep in mind Salah has scored minimum 230 points every season so far at Liverpool. Without injury, a lot of people would be surprised to see a sub-200 total

Thank you for the FPL content! Something’s definitely happening here James. All the best

Back when I thought Benitez would do alright at Everton lol.
this is my first year of fantasy with my friends. needed this vid desperately

Out of curiosity, how do your FPL videos do in terms of engagement and views compared to your other videos James?
Look at his videos, mate. The view counts visible.
personally im not too sold on the 8m plan this season, unless you make a really early transfer the prices of each of them will rise or fall fairly quickly and you will no longer be able to afford the one you're after
One that I would point out is also look at possible transfers that you can get cheap right now. For example if cucurella goes to city.
FPL 🔥🔥🔥
Tip 1) Watch every video Andy puts out on FPL
Back 3 of Trent, Cuccerella and Perisic is where it’s at
Love the fpl content Jim! Keep it coming!❤
Great video James! From personal experience, FPL Twitter is a great place with lots of great people! Can't wait to see what other FPL you have planned.
my fpl name this season is "I'm Eric Laporte"
Didnt expect this one here. Great Video Jim!
Superb video mate. Great knowledge but The ice pack makes it for me.
Love the FPL content.
All of my bench play, they are mostly 4m or 4.5m
You need to reunite with that other guy I think his name was Rambo. That series on FPL content was so entertaining wish you could bring that back.
Love FPL content James
My FPL name this year is ‘Sheffield Saturday’ tribute to the great Ted Lasso who played Sheffield twice in one week!
There is no reason not to have all three bench players playing this season.

Number 1: score more points than everybody else
Like the tips but I like trying different teams that don’t help me win but are fun and play about with it
Big Kanye fan, I came up with Niguez in Paris which I saw others use so I went with THROUGH THE magUIRE
missed the fpl content x
Need more fpl content
My FPL names for the last two years have been - Big JP’s Giant Squad and Big Tasty. I have a rule that it must start with the word Big.
Always wondered if you would do a crossover. Thought you would bring specialists in though?
Football knowledge is normally a detriment to FPL success
you have 2 Wildcards and unlimited transfers over World cup so actually i would say use wildcard chip early around GW 8, then free transfers around world cup, then second wild card late into GW 30. My opinion anyway
Some of these don't apply if you're a head-to-head league player like me but still some solid advice!
I use the same team”s backup goalkeeper as my second keeper to save me a transfer until I use bench boost. Good or bad idea?
How I won my minileague two seasons in a row
- make sure your mates are FPL fodders
-be lucky
-hope your rival screws up
Best advice you’ll hear. Forget expected stats, they are the emperor’s new clothes.
needed this I suck every year
It's ruddy addictive. The boring truth is follow the collective and only make one or two differentials at a time.
Go on then
My fpl team's called 'PrinceAndy'sFCNantes'
Hey Jim, hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing well! 😊
Use attack + defence Fixture Difficulty Ratings because the generic ones on the FPL website aren't tailor-made for the player's position.
Could you recommend any good free websites?
Are you going to do one for the Sun Dream Team?
I don't agree with the "have a bench that plays" - you should know prior to the deadline if one of your players will be injured or not. If one of your starting eleven is on the bench, with 5 subs its likely he'll come on at some point.
Even tho his gone my teams name will remain “WhereDivockIsOrigi?”
James lad that was not exactly what I tweeted but we roll
I feel like Cancelo is a decent option instead of Trent
Oxford to win the league it’s bloody happening and please keep your hands off our cam bran 1986 love you really keep on keepin on
My team name this season is Earth wind & Maguire
I've had the same Team name for hears now: Potato Salah
I might be wrong, but does anyone know why wolves seem to play Liverpool and city in consecutive gameweeks every season
unable to join league. says invalid code
Is Grealish a good option?
Since i was about 13 I’ve always named my teams Donkey Face FC. On fifa and everything, now it’s just habit. So weird
Spurting Lesbian FC, i also use LSD Mindwoven on occassion
Is FPL FYI ever coming back? Miss the Alcott and Rambo connection!
More FPL plz boss
Just joined your league bro look out for my differential team😄
Before Game week 1 leave 0.5 mill in the bank so that you can jump on the early bandwagons otherwise you'll be priced out by 0.1 pretty quickly.
PLAYERS WHO SCORE AGAINST SAME TEAMS (SON V MAN CITY ) (KANE V ARSENAL)
Finally found a Mirallas pun- First I'm Mirallas.
WHAT DOUBLE WEEKS? THEY SEPARATED THEM SO FAR MIDWEEK GAMES WERE DIFFERENT WEEKS
Why cant you just replace Trent with cancelo
Harry Cokane
Teams called Lallana Rhoades this year ...
I'm picking Son over Salah, change my mind
Fixtures salah better son is going to get rested quite a bit with richarlison either playing on the left or st
Be aggressive but don’t take risks… hmmmm.
What does everyone think of this xl? It’s my first time playing so need advice.
Gk. Sanchez
Def. nico Williams, taa, cash, zincheko,
Mid. Salah, mahrez, Diaz, saka
Fwd. Jesus, Kane
Subs. Kyle Walker peters, klasson, Andreas, Taylor
Good team. I've put Son instead of Kane because he'll get more points as he's a midfielder not striker.
Youri Wizard Harry
Kulusexies is my team name
442, 352 or 343?
2 off bench
"You Plebs".... lmao
Have I missed the meaning of 29?

Why doesn't the fpl code work
It us an invitational league
I don't get why a lot of British RUclipsrs are talking about how hot it is in their houses? Like do you not have AC or something? Genuine question
Bad teams with good fixtures are still bad teams. Remember captaining Denis! Steer clear of bad teams.

Bruno was actually top scorer season before last. Salah not a given to get 200+ points this season IMO
Keep in mind Salah has scored minimum 230 points every season so far at Liverpool. Without injury, a lot of people would be surprised to see a sub-200 total
