One app that tells you this is nuatide. It's a tide app but also gives you alot more. Fish activity is based on periods of the moons orbit. Very helpful at times
Another great video, Thank you. I noticed you are using a gopro with a waterproof housing chest cam, can you also record sound with the casing on? Well done saving the bland with the Thornback.
I think it states 'local area' whit is very much up for interpretation. All the fishing videos I ve posted were filmed before lockdown and I have next Tuesday and the Tuesday after scheduled in which were all filmed before lockdown.
Thanks for the video. Last year has taught me to take my lure rod with me if it's a bit clear. It's still a bit cold for me, but we're getting more double-digit temps., so mid-March hopefully!! Are you posting your trip to the Warren?
It is scheduled in for the 1st Tues of Feb. I went back again to see if I could get anything🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ which I did! You get a mention🤦♂️😂😂😂 I actually really like it at that end of the Warren and I just think the whole coastline is fishing a bit poor atm
@@gsp - I'm glad you didn't blank there - I only blanked on a couple of clear sunny days there, and that was more because I'm clueless and should have just changed tactics!! I've just taken receipt of 2 new rods, so am busting to get out, but christ, it's still too cold!!!
@@gsp - I can still remember times when I was a kid in the 80's fishing on Deal Pier, catching nothing and having to walk about 3/4 mile home & nearly in tears I was so cold. I once asked the people in the tackle shop to look after my rod/box because I was so cold, I simply couldn't carry it! Nothing has changed in that respect, except I probably moan more now!!
Well personally one fish, a bit of wildlife and a good weather day (well at least no rain or extreme winds) makes it a good day's fishing for me instead of feeling like its a wasted day entirely. Its been tough on the rivers too lately, blanked the last three pike sessions and haven't even seen anyone pull anything else out besides tiddlers too small to even use for bait, so you're not alone in the tough going
@@gsp just make up something about the stars and how the planets are annoyed with the moon or something and blame that haha honestly I just hope it improves all round sooner rather than later
I remember it very well mate and it's a story I've told many times! A lovely warm September day, striped down to my boxers... Then.... See ya later! 😂😂😂😂😂
The two rods I was using in that video were a vega potenza (3 piece continental with a sensitive tip) and the sonik gravity ht (hollow tip). The sonik is the heavier rod of the two and I use it nearly everywhere. It does have great power in the mid section for such a thin blank and could land nearly anything
I am being sent to Dover for work for two days and your video definitely gave me an idea for what to do when I'm off duty... The only problem I have is that i never fished from the beach yet.. :D oh well... Who dares - wins ;P
Well I really do hope you get something. Remember... The tide can be quite strong at Dover so 5oz leads minimum but probably safer with 6oz and max sure you have strong enough leader line to cast it. Please let me know how you get on! 👍
Hi mate, love your fishing videos ,very professional and entertaining, but am at a loss to see how you and other subscribers, fish hunter uk etc, are managing to travel all round the country with the present lock down regulations. My understanding is, yes we can fish with 1 other person (socially distancing) within our local area. The Governments definition of "local" is :- "The village or town you live in, or the area of a city you live in" , they then say if you are not able to fish following that criteria, you must find some other form of exercise. If you have read something contrary to this ,that is legal , let me know buddy
That is correct but luckily I only post 1 fishing video a week and I have videos scheduled in for release every Tuesday until the middle of Feb as I stored videos back for this exact reason. I knew a lock down was inevitable so did alot of sessions between Xmas and the lockdown announcement for this exact reason
You're so Kent. 'Fink I got somink'
🤣And i do try hard not to be!🤦♂️
More like sarf lundun if you ask me. Many invaded us from there in the sixties lol
A few more fish would have been nice but it still looked like a great day out with a mate, thanks for taking us with you. Great video.
Done well to catch anything on a day like that , nice beach to fish
Great video......you mentioned about feeding times, how do you know when the fish are predicted to come in ?

Hi mate ,it has been poor fishing for me in the humber. I have blanked or iff I have caught it has been small dabs 25cm ish. All the best from grimsby
The humber is soo on my list as soon as lockdown ends! Perhaps when it picks up a bit 🤦♂️😂
Good video mate and at least you did not blank well done putting up with freezing 🖐
Looked like a nice day mate ,roll on summer eh 👌
Tell me about it kev! I'm fed up of fishing with frozen hands!
Always a fish and a hot meal will make a difference on a winter session. Good video!
Thanks! 👍

I have and open back on it so that the sound is better. As soon as I put a solid back on it the sound is very muffled
Great video bud keeping me sane as I can't get out fishing
This was filmed on new years eve just before lockdown but luckily enough I have a couple of local venues I can now fish as Im not too far away
