      Try Plough Books in Victoria - they carry the books or AnYang Power hammers - they also carry the books.

    Thanks for a wonderful video! I like that you've included a section on what can go wrong. So many "watch an expert" type videos only show the perfectly executed examples. Even better, you could describe how to recover from having done it wrong. I very much appreciate your efforts.

    This video was very didactic and every detail makes a difference for the proper functioning of this tool. Thank you very much!

    Very informative video what did you mean cycling the hammer?

    • @MarkAspery
      @MarkAspery  Год назад +1

      Colin, normally the hammer falls in a straight line up and down - I'm attempting to move the hammer in a circle as I go up and down.

    Is it worth the time or effort to chase the finished bosses with a hot rasp or flatter to make the 2 surfaces as flat as possible before riveting?

    • @MarkAspery
      @MarkAspery  Год назад +1

      Keith, Yes, although if the anvil is in good condition and your shoulder is in the right place it may not be necessary. Once you assemble the parts, the heated bosses seem to "self-level" as you work them. Good question!

    If you are using a rivet header was it diameter x 1.7 or am i wrong?

    • @MarkAspery
      @MarkAspery  Год назад

      I'd go anywhere from x 1.5 to 2. So long as the rivet holds up, I don't think that it matters.
