As you all know this is such a great t.v. show. I watch this on METV. And this is tons better than all that t.v. garbage crap, and stupid reality t.v. shows and game and talent shows that they show on television now I don't waste time watching any of it and what a waste of television. CHEERS!
Had Shelley Long stayed on the show with Diane & Sam getting married, Cheers would not have lasted past season 6. Kirstie Alley was a breath of fresh air and help keep the show on for 6 more seasons! RIP Kirstie Alley:(
Frasier makes fun of Cliff for believing his family is the heir to the Russian empire, and then years later on Frasier, Frasier himself becomes easily convinced that he and Niles are those same heirs 😂
The one where cliff swallows the prize that is a whistle from the candy box and coughs, you can’t make somebody cry anymore than I did with tears of laughter. Nearly Peed myself. Whoever came up with that writing I said episode how to be given an award flat out a vacation to Tahiti! Simply brilliant!
I guess I’m in the minority in thinking season 7 was dull and boring. I loved season 6. Episodes like Let Sleeping Drakes Lie had me laughing so hard, but season 7 lacked a storyline or character development. Just a bunch of one off episode dilemmas that came off as a drama series.
old enough to remember when this was channel 9 australia's 9:30pm thursday night staple.cannot believe they replaced great comedy like this with the rubbish that passes for the footy show.
She’s a ballerina and Broadway actress and was only supposed to be on one episode originally but the writers liked writing for her character so much she became a regular.
I'm with ya, man. I don't even own a telly anymore, nor have I since 2000. Not worth my time or money. I've got a DVD player and a set of bad-ass speakers. I get the shows and flicks I like, unedited and uninterrupted, whenever I want to watch them. What more does anyone really need anyhow, ay? I certainly don't need to pay to watch one of my all-time faves, Cheers on TV, edited and with 2-10 minute commercial breaks. Screw that!
I love how Sam and Dianne go out on all these weekend trips together when theres only 4 people working in that bar. Noone ever seems to be concerned about managing the bar.
What's funny is I had one and it used to cost a dollar a minute whether you were calling them or they were calling you and you don't want to talk about international rates.
Definitely up there. Season 6 ended up pretty good but started out rough having to transition Kirstie with Shelley and trying to find Rebecca's character. Season 7, they and Kirstie found the Rebecca Howe we all know and love and the show's humor and stories were an improvement. Season 11, however may be in the top 3 best seasons which is rare for any tv show in its final season.
I was just a kid of 11 when this show started. I would watch it in my bedroom on an old 12" black and white TV. Think it was on Thursday nights, followed by Hill Street Blues if I'm not mistaken.
if you ask me, the first three seasons of cheers with rebecca howe were pretty bad compared to the diane seasons and the show slowed down for a little bit once rebecca joined the cast. it really picked up again in seasons 9-11 though.
"Hello in there, Cliff! What color is the sky in your world?" Big talk from Frasier considering he's going to think his dad's clock was a sign of being a Russian noble family some day.
From start to finish, I would give chairs five stars. One of my favorite sitcoms of all time. Second to none. That doesn't mean that I don't have other favorites, because I do, and they also are second to none. And cheers is also in that category of being a favorite and second to none. Cheers. There's two good health, Sammy, Norman, Cliff, Carla, Frazier & Lilith, Diane and Miss Howe, Coach, Woody, and the rest of yous guys. I'll Pawk the caw in the yawd. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good night. And this is not Norm or Walter Cronkite, it's just me letting you all know what I think about Cheers. Second and none. The end.
The volume is just so low. Other skits are nice & loud, i have to turn my volume down. These, i have to hold right up to my ear. :( I don't dare subscribe
Cheers is the best sitcom ever!
Cheers will always be one of my fav shows

Lyrics
Song by Gary Portnoy and Judy Hart-Angelo
Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you've got
Taking a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot
Wouldn't you like to get away?
All those nights when you've got no lights
The check is in the mail
And your little angel
Hung the cat up by its tail
And your third fiance didn't show
Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
You want to be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same
You want to be where everybody knows your name
Roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee's dead
The morning's looking bright
And your shrink ran off to Europe
And didn't even write
And your husband wants to be a girl
Be glad there's one place in the world
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
You want to go where people know
People are all the same
You want to go where everybody knows your name
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
Where everybody knows your name

Hard to beat
at 4:30 Sam says 'Married? Oh no, I'm sorry. Thought you were talking about something else.'
Can anyone put on full length episodes?
I always felt for Frasier, being as intelligent as he is, having to listen to the drivel that emanated from the being that is Cliff Claven.
You missed the whole comedic point there, Einstein
Why was Frazier even THERE? He's a bit high class to mingle with riff raff.
@@dropkickmurphy4114 A strong lonely streak. Just the pretense of being high class and impervious.
Yep. Thats John Ratzenburger (if I spelt that right)

No. It gets boring after awhile. All the RUclips stuff you see is just the best of. They don't show the lamest of the lame stuff. Same with Taxi.
Pipen good.
what happens to Diane and Sam?
You should ask John Cougar Mellencamp

Cheers was was a good show to watch every day from Brendon
Not the same without Diane
qateralneda I Must Concur.
WAAAYYY better without Diane. She was boring as hell.
Then why are you here? And yes it wasn't the same but it was still great and imo even funnier with Kirstie Alley.
When Lilth would get out of her suits and let her hair down I was always like "GOOD LORD! She's HOT!"

i'm with you, she was looking hot
She’s a ballerina and Broadway actress and was only supposed to be on one episode originally but the writers liked writing for her character so much she became a regular.
I love this show so much I have all 11 seasons on DVD
I don’t like American sitcoms BUT this was the best ever very well written for the perfect cast

Cheers had great writers. One of my favorites was when Carla called the pregnant Lillith "Madame Ovary" ! LOL

I think it may have been because they were running out of stories and wanted to go out with a bang.
Thanks for sharing this standout comedy.
Ar Cheers where Cliff keeps putting His foot in His mouth and Sam Who keeps trying to put His , well Let's leave it at that.

I asked one time why they cancelled Cheers. Someone answered me. "Because Ted wanted to spend more time with Whoopi." Another reason to hate her.
