- wow, it's been a while. I whipped this up after my girlfriend and daughter have been playing the heck out of some Animal Crossing NH, and this tune stands out to me the most (probably because I get to wake up with coffee and work while I hear it).

Well, a lot has changed over the past few months. For one thing I'm in a smaller house now.
And I also have a way smaller PC now.
But, one thing that hasn't changed: I'm still using ImpulseTracker for literally everything. Despite being told there's better things for "chiptune".
So happy to see a new track posted. Your tutorials inspired me and taught me how to use famitracker, and I've been having a lot of fun with it so far! Thank you!

Danooct1, its been 3 years since you made chiptune music, I just want to know if you feel burnt out or you feel like you want to continue. I don't mind if you continue to not make content, what you have on the channel is impressive enough for me, but I think it could be a good challenge to try the old hobby again, maybe this time things could be fun or more frustrating than before you stopped. how u do triplets in famitracker
A triplet is three equal segments of rhythm, so you've got to do a little math. If your speed is 8, then you've got 8 frames for every row on the pattern editor. Determine the number of rows your triplet will occupy, then utilize the Gxx (delay for xx frames) command to space them apart equally. So, at speed 8 with 8 frames for every row, to fit a triplet into two rows will require either a new instrument or some crafty Gxx magic (as I did in the DPCM channel on this track).
Row 00 Kick Sample
Row 01 Snare 1 (beginning of triplet) - G08 (since there's 8 frames per row, this 8 frame delay effectively pushes it to the next row down)
Row 02 Snare 2 (middle of triplet) - G06 (delayed 6 frames after the previous snare sample)
Row 03 Snare 3 (end of triplet - G03 (delayed 5 frames after previous snare sample - 2 remaining frames of last row + 3 frame delay on this row)
Row 04 Snare 4 (note after triplet, 5 frames after last note of triplet)
It's not exact with some speed settings, like in this case it's a little lopsided with the last note of the triplet and the next note afterwards being 5 frames apart, while the first two notes are 6 frames apart. Just try to make it as equal as possible.
