As a german citizen and a christmas market lover I would love to recommend you some sweets and treats.
1. Krapfen (the big ones) or Kräppelchen (the smaller ones): these are sweet deep fried goods
2. Bratwurst: that is an absolut classic dish
3. Langos: Originally from Hungary, it has become an integral part of german christmas markets. It is a deep fried dough topped with different stuff. You can make it sweet or hearty.
4. Lebkuchen and Pfefferkuchen: maybe these are the most traditional sweets you can find, it s basically gingerbread but a little different
5. Mulled Wine: that is a must have, a specially the white ones are pretty common at the moment. The red ones are the traditional ones. There are also good alcohol free substitutes.
6. Handbrot: A little bread roll filled with cheese and bacon and topped with sour creme. Soooooo goooood!
