@@kushsmoker4206 I think that goes for EVERY fighter on the roster. I'm talking more in terms of promotion & elevating fighters so they can be seen by a much bigger audience. I've seen more/better promotion in the last 6 months from ESPN than I have in 5 years from the UFC alone, especially for the "not quite Superstar" type guys.

Jorge Sr is Scarface, the end of the movie was dramatized, he just went back to jail, got close with his son, and came home to his son fighting Yves Edwards.

I can't say enough about his down to earth attitude when his father is around him, and his father has that same down to earth demeanor. Tons of respect to the Masvidals. When Jorge wins the BMF belt, I would have liked to see his father wrap the BMF belt around his waste. The Rock needs to step aside for sure.

He has alot of social anxiety about speaking in English interviews. He could not speak english until he was 12, he mentioned this in the UFC Spanish documentary on him. He likely just prefers to have something to occupy silent moments. I dont know why this would be funny.

I think he's already pretty much there but if Jorge wins this weekend then he is without doubt the UFC's biggest star right now. He's put the work in since the win over Askren and has literally been everywhere.
Almost everyday there's a new video online featuring him and has been a guest fighter at several UFC events through the Summer and early Autumn. Man's killing it.
I just hope that he's not done too much and fallen into the trap of missing valuable training and preparation time for the sake of promotion. He doesn't strike of being that dude though.
