    I haven't watched one of your videos, or any other video in general audiophile community in a long time. I watched this video just now and i can say two things with extreme confidence.
    Your ethics and style are still intact. Your in-depth accuracy based analysis is still the champion of headphone reviews on YT.
    Secondly, the way you mix in background music is a true work of art. Other creators should take notes on how to mix the BGM with commentary from you.
    Keep up the good work brother.👍👍

    I'll be interested to hear what you have to say in part two. I got these for typical music studio use, and not for spatial audio. I hadn't used Atmos before trying it on the S5x, so I don't have anything to compare to. My impression is that it's fun but nothing like listening to other types of surround sound with speakers. I don't feel like I could use headphones to position elements in a 5.1 mix.

    Which one would you advice for mixing "low end". Bass and Kick. (EDM and hip hop). Ollo S5x vsS4x or the AA HI65? I saw your review of the AAudio 65 and you said it had fast transients. All i care is the low end. Thanks in advance. (i have the hedd studio monitors, but room is not perfect). Was looking for a headphone so i dont have to go back and fort to check in car. Cheers

      Given those three options, I'd probably get the S5x. The AA headphones may make you feel like you need to add more bass--which will end up sounding aggressive with any other gear. Might also want to check the Rode NTH100.

    Great review..If you were a classical- cinematic music producer which headphone would you choose ? Are there sub 1000+ solutions or you can t avoid spending a good amount of money to have good separation and technicalities?I have dt 880 but when the mix gets busy I start struggling to hear the orchestration.I also have a difficult question..Do you think headphones are overpriced in comparison to iems in terms of technical performance???For example a "500" dollars headphone has the same technicalities as a "500" dollar iem or the iem beats it clearly for music production and hi end audiophile listening ?

    • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  Год назад

      I'm not a recording artist, so I don't know of any particular headphone. But, given your wish to have a headphone that provides greater detail and separation, yes there are several options. Austrian Audio has several headphones that fit that description; they are very revealing, highly detailed, and not remotely pleasant for badly recorded music. I haven't heard any other headphones that provide as much detail and clarity until the HD800s and Focal Clear.
      Both headphones and IEMs are overpriced. IEMs are not any better than headphones at anything. IEMs and headphones all have their particular sound signatures, fit, build, and driver requirements--but it's a fallacy that any high-priced headphone automatically is better than any cheap/cheaper alternative.
      There's a certain obsession by some audiophiles with headphones and IEMs for music production--partly because some companies try to promote that idea. The truth is that mixing and mastering artists always use monitors/speakers, and you'd be surprised how some simple bedsheets draped from the ceiling, and correct placement of speakers will do for immersion--something that cannot be replicated by headphones or IEMs, irrespective of their price.
      If you're interested in music production, I suggest going to professional A/V forums and reading their discussions. Audiophiles make up nonsense to justify their personal beliefs--often without any substance or evidence. Professionals use headphones only to check their mixes, and rely heavily on their speakers--which goes to show how little import headphones really are in this application. Finally, as for IEMs for mixing/mastering...I don't know if any mix/master professional uses them. I'm not sure why they would.

That's why I made the question..And for last I heard the song you posted on the video with the footsteps and I ve noticed more than 12 with my p1 max planar iems ..That's why I asked ..Thanks for the unbiased response..I m looking forward to see more reviews..👍

    • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  Год назад

      “Audiophile” is a loaded term, and really it comes down to preferences. Plenty of people will find OLLO headphones dull, because of the unemphasized bass or the treble isn’t sparkly enough or whatever. So, I can’t say if any one person WILL like the S5x, just that it’s a worthy contender among the multitude of options. As for EQ, I found that the S5x responds well to it.

      @@NoThemeReviews thanks for the quick reply. Any suggestions, I need to use them for editing RUclips video (talking narrative and music so mixing) Skype/zoom calls and transcribing music. • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  Год назад

      It really comes down to the reason you don’t find the 1990 comfortable. If the earpads are too small or the clamp is too tight or the headband doesn’t have enough padding or the earpads make your ears uncomfortable-all possibilities.
      The Austrian Audio headphones are not neutral. But they are very comfortable I think. They will help you find imperfections in your mix and produce separation, detail and clarity.
      The 880 is more comfy than the 1990 mostly due to its lighter weight. Fairly neutral but otherwise about average in detail and clarity.
      The 6xx has a fairly tight clamp but large earpads so that pressure will be distributed along the side of your face. It is reasonably neutral.
      You might also take a look at the NTH100, OneOdio Monitor 80, Avantone Planar. Maybe even consider an IEM like the BASN MT PRO, Ikko OH1, or Moondrop Quarks.

    • @RiffsRhythm
      @RiffsRhythm Год назад

      @@NoThemeReviews the headband has too much clamp force on the 1990 and my ears get really hot for some reason.
      I'm very interested in the Hi-65x and 880. 880 do a premium edition with even comfy headband. So these seem to be a good headphone for price and what i need them for.
      6xx - from your reviews you describe as average for mix and produce separation, detail and clarity. Would 880 be better? I guess it's trying these thing to find out.
      OneOdio Monitor 80, Avantone Planar i'll looking these! Thanks. I already have IEM's but I need open back so I can hear whats going on around the house (family) whilst i'm working :)
