Thank you for this one. Security is paramount and its great to see them get their due. In the end it boils down to one thing-- act like a civilized human being.
I went to Disneyland as a senior with my music classes and two of the girl’s supposedly stole over $300 and because of it they were issued a lifetime ban.
Love this video, To add to the don't feed the gators thing, I'm a Floridian who worked in high school at the Alligator Farm. Feeding gators increases the chances that they attack someone. With gators they won't just get worse at hunting if you feed them, they start thinking of people along side food, and if there isn't food there the person might be seen as it. If you see one please feel free to take pictures but don't approach and don't feed (and please dont pet but I feel like that's only native Floridians that try that lol).
The last time we went to Disney World, my teenage son told me he saw a "big guy in a Buzz Lightyear shirt and Mickey ears" take down a shoplifter. He said the guy looked like he totally knew what he was doing, so I can only assume the guy was one of those plainclothes security people.
Thank you for the don't feed the wildlife reminder! As someone who has worked animal rescue and rehab, this can lead to injuries and potentially ☠️ . Us Floridians appreciate visitors that respect our home. Thanks.
But... while glass isn't allowed, those small glass baby food jars ARE allowed... it's even on the Disney World Website under Prohibited items "Glass containers (excluding small containers such as baby food jars), except in the Disney Resort hotels and Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser."
Someone should enlighten those tour helicopters about the no-fly zone. They are so distracting and detract from the overall guest experience in the parks. 😐
The FAA does allow aircraft to fly over the Disney area but they must be at an altitude of 10,000 feet or higher to do so. I've seen videos of ultralight and para-motors fly over and take pictures. You really can't see much detail because 10K ft is almost 2 miles up.
Do they still call shoplifters “customers”? When I worked for the Disney Store in the late ‘90s, everyone was a Guest, but if were thought they were trying to steal, we would say “there’s a Customer over there!” I was always afraid I would say it by mistake.
10:17 can confirm that they make you put away noise makers, I had a Keychain r- whistle that was given to me and I forgot that I had it on my bag when they found it. Made my dad go back to put it away
I was on Small World once, and some rowdy high schoolers kept rocking the boat and splashing the water. A cast member suddenly appeared from between two walls and stepped into the boat, and issued a very stern warning to the boys.
I will say I had an issue with Bag check a few months back because of my popcorn bucket! I’d put it into my book bag so I wouldn’t forget it, and since it created think unscannable capsule, they had to search! Learned my lesson, popcorn bucket stays on the outside of the bag!
My friends bag goes off every time because there’s something in the bag itself that goes off. They’re usually quick and really nice so we never have a problem! In fact, we enjoy talking with them!
You mentioned no cameras in changing rooms. You'd be surprised to know that in many states it's legal to film in changing rooms if there's a notice up. I live in NY and here they just need a notice that states something to the effect of, "these rooms may be monitored by video camera" and they can legally film in the changing room.
One item NOT allowed in a certain park which you missed was balloons in Animal Kingdom. We re-entered late afternoon and watched a family approach with a stroller that featured a Mickey balloon tied to it. CM immediately approached and ticketed the balloon with a yellow card and took it backstage. Guest was likely allowed to pick it up when they left the park.
The Halcyon allows full costumes INCLUDING the day you visit Batuu. We spoke to a CM responsible for those entering Galaxy's Edge as we plan to use Mandalorian armour for at least one costume. You'll be given a pin/belt/something to ID you as a Halcyon Guest and NOT a CM in entertainment.
when we were kids my older brother got caught shoplifting at Disneyworld and was in Disney "Jail" for the day. This happened 40 years ago, so no lifetime ban or anything.
18:26 I had to go back & rewatch this clip a couple times. It seemed like her shirt had been photoshopped out and was some how a static image. I guess cuz it’s such a solid color and didn’t really have any wrinkles or shadows.
I have seen the Disney Security in action. Not the uniforms, not the undercover, but the team that takes folks out of the park quickly. We were at Pleasure Island (long retired and turned into Downtown Disney) . My wife and I walking down walkway, sort of watching the interaction between the group of young ladies and young guys. One of the guys was really trying to get the attention of one of the ladies. She was ignoring him. He reached out and grabbed her arm. "Come on just talk..." 4 doors in a wall opened and out came a group of men in blue jumpsuits. They surrounded the grabby guy, and returned through the doors. Took maybe 10 seconds. We looked at each other, we looked at another couple "Did we just see what we thought we saw?" They nodded. Catching up the two groups, the young ladies had uniformed motherly type coming up "Are you alright? Do you want to go somewhere private?" and they guys got a stern fatherly type. "We'll review the surveillance video. You might be able to pick up your friend at the East Gate after closing, unless Disney or the young lady decide to press charges. In which case you can bail him out tomorrow." (we had slowed down to hear it all). Chatting with locals later telling them about what we say. "Yeah Disney is hard core about harassment. They'd probably been watching him for a while and he had been doing other things. Worst thing for him, they always ban these guys. So can no longer comes with his friends."
You missed a big one at Disney ……taking a photo while the rides are shut down and you are still on the ride is called back staging and it’s a big no no in Disney.
I actually saw someone shoplift and get "caught" by under cover Disney cops, of course the shoplifter was a little kid my guess 5 or 6 who ran into a store and grabbed some candy on main street while their parents where trying to deal with putting a younger kid in a stroller. The Kid came back with a cop and a staff member following them already eating a piece of candy and having no idea they did anything wrong. The parents yelled at the kid and paid for the candy and moved on.
Just out of curiosity. If a person is banned from WDW or Disneyland here in America could they go out of country to Disneyland Paris or Japan to go to a Disney park?
I have seen the K9 team! I love them so much! I wish I could pet them! :0 Edit: Yes, I got flagged yesterday for my wireless charger and glasses case. I was let in the park so it is ok to bring!
Glass period is not allowed in. I lost a custom made penny jar that we brought it in to make pressed Pennie’s on my honeymoon. So sad but it definitely wasn’t anything I would have red flagged lol
Hello I was curious are you allowed to take your Vape pen inside the parks even if you’re not gonna use them but just to have it on you in case you want to leave the park to use it?
@@Chatbundi It's weird when people discuss this they act like Disney characters are the only ones people would cosplay as, but the words they use imply costumes period aren't allowed. Erika at least all a girl has to do is put on a pink wig, and her clothes can be whatever so long as it's cute, and since Erika is an influencer already she fits in at Disney World. I believe some of the facial recognition is being used on Disney Cruise ships...perhaps they were testing it in the park, but it looks like they are actually using it for the cruises to 'bundle' together photo packages and such using your face. I'd love to see what a day in the park looks like if you actually enable the push notifications based on your location and go to the places that the notifications suggest...one after the other!

In England they have cameras everywhere on the roads, outside stores every 100 yards in london. Their security building has over 100 monitors, my friend said they can follow you along the streets for hours even if you go into a store facial recognition allows them to follow you anywhere.
I once asked the Security Guard at bag check what he was looking for and he responded he was looking for Universal Tickets.

Wonder what their mom and dad said ?
Well at least they're not going to be losign oodles of money over Disney World's rising prices then.
A lifetime ban is a bit overkill for shoplifting. Maybe a 1 year ban and working in a Disney restaurant washing dishes would be punishment enough.

No, what will Mickey do? Warn, remove, ban, or arrest.

“Ditch your finger print” my guess is they fully keep that forever.
Missed out on my favorite little known no-no: you can’t sprinkle people’s cremation ashes in the parks.
If you get banned from the Parks, does that include the hotels that are on Disney property? Will they force you to pack and vacate your room early?
Yep
Ok

No hidden Mickeys in Disney Jail? That's a shame. Seems like a good place for them. 😆
I once saw a video of three family’s getting into an insane fight at Disney, security did nothing for many minutes….they have no security lol

They do have security usually for characters
