Just got back from a road trip Rick and this showed up in my feed. So happy with the results! The R8 has never looked better! I've got the video on repeat. :)
@@dave10broek I’m glad you were out there enjoying the hell out of it. It should clean up nice with that coat of Immortal on it. Stay RAD and keep these amazing cars coming my way! 🤘
I bet your neighbors watch you pull cars into your garage and then say "Watch...that car will come outta there tomorrow, super clean. Just watch." Then they all just wait for you to life the garage door to see the end results loll
Incredible job on an incredible R8, Rick! Nice transformation on that rocker… I bet that 8 hours of time was so enjoyable! Immortal is incredible, fast and easy. Hope you really enjoyed it.
Immortal really impressed me. I messaged PapaSmurf to tell him how much I enjoyed working with it. I think it is an ideal product for many of the project I undertake. Not everyone is looking for a full paint correction and liquid ceramic coating, and Immortal certainly fills that void. Thanks, as always, Tim for your ongoing support and words of encouragement. It truly means a lot.
It just so happens that a number of quality product lines are coming out of Canada, and more specifically, Alberta. Posh has been super cool to me and keep sending me their products. I had to feature them to show viewers how satisfying they are to work with.
Thanks so much. I do like putting my creative touch on the video and detailing process. I really find these videos exciting to make and the fact that others enjoy them makes it even more special.
Rick this was amazing! Wow that r8 looks stellar and seems like immortal really fit well for this project! Super easy to use and a nice little kick of gloss! Great work as always! A RAD masterpiece ✨️ 🙌🏽
I agree that Immortal was the perfect product for this particular project. This car will be going up for sale soon and Immortal will ensure it appeals to the buyers that appreciate a glossy appearance. Thanks for watching and for your supportive comment.
Rick another masterclass of a video , fantastic filming and detailing on such a beautiful machine . Keep up the amazing work on your summer break . All the best, from England 🏴
Thank you for the kind words. I was thrilled with this entire experience and the fact that I was able to put it through its gears, made it just that much more awesome.
Thanks Fred. I think I like the hardtop versions better. I think the side profile on the Spyder is a bit tame compared to the coupes with the side-blade. What do you think?
Thank you kindly for your endorsement. I really take pride in these productions so it makes me very happy when people take time to watch, like and comment. I have more Saturday morning releases on the way in coming weeks. I hope you'll stop by.
What a super cool car to detail as those Audi engines sound mean and pull hard. Immortal is a wonderful spray ceramic as it has enough strength to last six months or longer outside and the application is really easy. The Posh products looked easy to use too and gave really nice results. Thank you for the fun video!
You've very welcome, Neil. I agree with your assessment of Immortal. I am so glad to hear it can last that long. It was very close to a liquified ceramic coating in terms of how satisfying it was to install and the Posh products perform as good as they look. That team continues to impress me with each new release. I think I have some new stuff from them on the way! Take care, buddy.
C'est bien d'avoir le temps de présenter le travail que j'effectue à l'intérieur, mais je n'ai généralement pas assez de temps ou d'énergie pour le faire. Cette fois, j’ai eu largement assez de temps.
Hi Rick, I'm Alessandro from Italy, your videos are always wonderful, I heard that these days there are fires again in Alberta, what a disaster for Nature, let's hope they resolve them as soon as possible. Here in Italy it's very hot and I just can't make a good video of the new golf to wash it, I hope to be able to do it in the next few days, when I finish work and before leaving for holidays. Take care Rick, bye.
Hi Alessandro. Yes, fires have been raging in various parts of Alberta. One of our most cherished and picturesque alpine towns of Jasper has been utterly devastated. It is truly a catastrophe. I am located in the prairie region of Alberta where we do not face direct threat from fires but we do suffer the effects of poor air quality. When I dive into a detailing project, it helps me cleanse my mind of the worries of the outside world. Have a nice holiday wherever you are heading and travel safe.
@@catguy64 I enjoyed this one immensely. It helps a lot that I’m on my summer holidays so I can take my time and put all other distractions aside. Thanks for watching.
Amazing as always Rick. Beautifully shot and documented. ❤❤ I noticed at 26:07 what looked like a PPF outline on the V10 badge was there PPF on the front? The Posh range looks very nice. Great to more and more products coming to market. But sadly we won’t get here down under. :( Keep up the incredible content as always. Love it!!!❤ Oh and I do love an Audi R8 being part of the VAG family it’s a great place to be.
The R8 is as close to automotive perfection as I think you can get and the fact I got to rip around town for a bit, well, it was just RAD. The previous owner of this R8 babied the hell out of it. Like many cars here, the entire front clip is PPF protected. I think the new owner is considering having the PPF removed since it is quite old and is starting to show some subtle signs on discolouration. Take care, Clint.
Hi Rick 🖐 What a great morning I’m having, relaxing with a cup of coffee and watching a RAD video! What a special car you have the opportunity to work your magic on and make this car really shine. You have a gift for picking out such appropriate music to set the tone of your videos, well done.👍 I am sure the owner must be really pleased to get his special car back in such clean and sparkling shape. Yup, this project definitely ticked all the boxes and the music hit just right. I love it when a plan comes together. See you next Saturday morning for a coffee date! ☕️
Rick, i love watching interior detailing, it's so soothing to see how different detailers tackle the inside of a vehicle! Very nice and satisfying job to see. Thanks!
The top is very clean so I did nothing but wash it like the rest of the car. The owner was somewhat complaining that the top has some creases in it, but my expertise in the area of cloth tops is severely limited!
Amazing job Rick That is what they call a Posh car in the UK 😁! I really love that R8, color, design wheels everything is matching Thanks for this masterpiece Rick. Just a quick one : Did you enjoy the ride with the manual gearbox ? Looking forward to reading you Gregg
Taking this beast for a rip through the downtown streets was a phenomenal experience. The sound of the engine and exhaust reverberating off the buildings was intoxicating. It was a great way to kick off this project.
@@RADGarage glad you enjoyed it. Let's see now what kind of funny projects are about to come...between a nice cocktail and a trip to the beach. It is summertime after all 😆 🏖
Great video as always! How did you like the products? That interior cleaner looked like a stand out product .. deep cleaning of leather and plastics with a matte finish. The branding certainly gives off AMMO NYC vibes.
I was thoroughly impressed with the performance of the Posh products showcased in this video. You're correct in your observation of the presentaion. It seems like AMMO really has the market when it comes to black bottles. Funny fact, I have never tried an AMMO product. Just can't pull the trigger given the price and import costs.
Another great job Rick! Your video presentation is second to none. The R8 is an amazing car. I’m intrigued by the Phoenix spray coating, how did you like using it?
Wow, the Audi is sure quiet for a V10... at least at idle... 😉 Thanks for sharing, Rick, another great video! How do you find the one-bucket wash method? I don't know that I've ever seen you do that before, other than the rinseless wash video. The Audi looks fantastic, and you look pretty good behind the wheel, is there maybe an R8 in your future? Hope you're able to stay cool in this heat! Thanks again for sharing, and have a great rest of your day! Cheers!
It wakes up real quick with a little stab of the throttle, let me tell you. When a car is 99% clean after the foam pre-wash, the one-bucket method with a mitt like my Merino Wool CarPro is all you need to ensure you haven't missed any spots. I tired to show how thoroughly I rinse the mitt out upon each new application. Works for me.
I bet I used 30 squirts of Immortal on that car. With the microfiber applicator, you can really spread it out effectively. I couldn't believe how easy and compliant it was to work with. I waited about 1-1.5 mins before levelling it out.
It was a lot of fun to feature your expanding line of products. I look forward to each and every new release. I can really tell you guys are taking your time to ensure you are getting things right, and you are! Keep up the great work and I anticipate viewers will be seeing more Posh v Rad presentations in the future. 🤘
Hi, great video! Just a little curious as to why you chose to do the tar removal first. Would it not have been safer to do the tar removal after the prewash, and then contact wash? I was always told that you run the risk of scratching or marring the paint when doing it prior to the prewash due to those lower areas having high traffic film and dirt (the lower parts are normally the most dirtiest parts of the vehicle, other than the wheels). I've seen Yves (Gyeon) do the tar removal towards the end of the wash process, using the wash mitt to agitate after spraying the tar remover. He'd then rinse thoroughly before moving onto the drying stage. I'm not a detailer, just an enthusiast. My question is purely out of curiosity and wanting to learn, so please don't take this as some keyboard warrior, trying to tell you how to do your job 😅.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the question and the respectful manner in which you went about asking it. To be honest, I took care of that tar because I noticed it while I was working on the wheels and I had all the necessary products close at hand to deal with it. Once that TAR by Gyeon had penetrated the tar it came off with relative ease. I think a lot of people get too bent out of shape about the minor details. If those tar deposits were not easily coming off, then I would have gone about things a bit more intensely. Thanks again.
