That flash at 4:42 was amazing. There were lightning flashes in the clouds here in FL a few days ago. There have been loads of thunder and rain storms recently here in Tampa.
How far is Montgomery from Valparaiso, IN?...we have both 2001, SRN's... and T-128's..in Valpo...Including a T-128, near the fire department, across from a school, and another, on top of a small building on the VU campus, and a 2001 SRN about a mile from my apartment building....and another one near the Beverly shores, south shore train station
On August 10, there was a severe weather producing bow echo, which apparently has been a derecho. There was a mix some Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Tornado Warnings through Illinois and the left side of Indiana. Ohio was hit but only was a tiny hit because of the winds being around 30 mph when the derecho was over Ohio. I was gonna film the storm, but apparently it was too dark for me to do so.
When I was trying to hear what Counties in Illinois were affected by the SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING...I feared that KANE COUNTY (Aurora, North Aurora, Batavia, Elburn, St. Charles, etc.) would be affected. THANK GOODNESS, KANE COUNTY DODGED A CHAOTIC BULLET - THE DERECHO DIDN'T AFFECT THEM! 🌩
To whoever said they would use alert, i think its smart to use attack so poeple dont get confused with a tornado. Becuase most people are used to attack and not alert becuase they think alert is a tornado, and attack is server thunderstorm. They use attack so people dont get confused

97% percent of linn county iowa lost power and was by far the hardest hit out of the I think 10 other counties that are in a state of emergency in iowa from the derecho.

Attack? I’d use alert for general emergencies, and severe thunderstorms, winter stuff. But attack I’d save for tornadoes and more serious emergencies.

In Oklahoma the only time the tornado siren goes off is when there is a tornado warning for are county

Pretty far away sadly. It's probably a 4-5 hour trip.

Yeah some parts of it came my way as well but it was much weaker.

Yeah that’s an eventual goal. The closest sirens that do that are three hours away but...the tests are not consistent.

They do they use it for extreme wind warnings and quarter sized hail and also tornado warnings
