My wife and I were sitting outside on a Zoom call with some of our family (#COVIDLife) who were also sitting outside when they noticed the sky darkening. They live in Brownsburg which is about a half hour west of us. We noticed it was getting cloudy here too so I checked the radar. Sure enough, a line of storms was a county or so away from them. We stayed on the Zoom call watching each other's lightning until they started getting rain. My wife isn't a crazy fool like me so she went inside while I grabbed a beer and sat down in the garage to watch the storm come in. We has some really awesome lightning, winds upwards of 70mph, and marble sized hail. That all happened roughly 10 minutes before the sirens went off. See, Marion county has a very advanced system of 2001s that they are capable of setting off in zones. They don't always do that. This was one of those times. Our portion of the county was only ever under a severe thunderstorm warning. After the storm was through the majority of the county, there was a little spin up near the airport in the far southwest corner of the county, prompting a tornado warning. Despite a tiny portion of the county being under the warning, sirens sounded throughout the entire county. Great for people like me, not great for public trust in sirens. I didn't actually know there was a tornado warning anywhere until after I recorded this video. This is why I started recording after the sirens started and why I am asking "why?" at the beginning. Exciting night!

That sometimes happens when 2001s switch power sources
its something thats kinda normal. sometimes when the power source is switched itll tone lower or higher depending on the source.
