I think a cheaper alternative to foam insulation as a base would have been chicken wire and paper mache . A much cheaper alternative. You can skip the foam or add it afterwards. Before foam product we always used cardboard carpet tubes and papier-mâché. There is an amazing Chinese artist who does wonders with it.
I think it needs a spinning wheel, either as an object or a picture on a wall. Other than that it looks fantastic. I was thinking that you needed a dryad costume to sit in the chair and there you appeared! Lovely! Thanks for sharing this. It was fun to watch you create and improvise and learn as you were doing.
Amazing! A suggestion for a next project.. drop the led strings.. add mushrooms, flowers, bugs, etc on the tree and wire the lights into them instead... makes a fun resin project.. : ) Not to understate! Project is amazing and am super jealous! Just an idea
ambitious I can describe it and I mean it as a sweet way this room is so your style and it looks enchanting, the aww factor is well deserved bravo jem😱😍💚💚

Absolutely blown away with how amazing this room looks. Your creativity has no bounds. Love and appreciate the hard work you put into all of your costumes and designs. Keep up the amazing work
What a wonderful work! An inspiring cozy craft room! Brilliantly created! We do enjoy seeing nature fight back too! It's a true pleasure to come up with ways to live in harmony with nature! Your room is incredibly beautiful! As for your "ideas for other rooms" I'm thinking you will come up with other genre's of inspiration - genre's consistent with the craft! 🖤🖤🖤
As someone that has large flowering aloe plants, and a hoya that has tendrils stretching across sections of my living room, I can completely understand the appeal of the overgrown esthetic. It is rather a shame the room doesn't have an actual window to the outside, so you can't get a live vine type plant to grow and provide foliage for your tree. I do like how it turned out, though there were times in the process it was hard to tell what you were going for, and how it was going to get there. Overall enjoyed the video.
You did an awesome job. Looks so great and I am always blown away by your creativity. For the large walls where you have to paint a large area a paint sprayer like “Paint Zoom” which I love. If I can find another one I will send it to you as it will help you cut down on time painting a large area & it paints so well. I have had friends barrow mine and they love it and bought their own. Again such a beautiful room you created in your new sewing/workshop area.
Really hope your channel explodes soon, because this is some really cool, well done crafting! I was definitely getting Rachel Maksy vibes, except you 'spared no expense' haha. The swing chair scares me though I'd be too paranoid I'd bump into that gorgeous tree and damage it whenever I sit 👀
Wow! You are so talented. The tree is magnificent. Is that stuff you made the tree with safe to breathe in everyday? I know nothing about that stuff. I hope you feel super inspired with all your hard work. Congrats! 🇺🇸✝️🌿💐🌹🧙

Was thinking sheets of polystyrene might have been more affordable to sculpt a huge tree and just a bit of no more nails seems to stick them together well enough. I also put metal needles all the way through the layers for extra holding power. After you have sculpted the polystyrene and ensured all loose bits are gone you can mesh over the whole lot with mesh drywall tape and then use drywall jointing compound to plaster over it all. You can add acrylic paint to the drywall compound to colour it. This method works really well for realistic mountains on diorama's I have done but I have never done it on a much bigger scale so I appreciate this may not be the best way and it will not be as strong as the foam used in this video but if its just decorational it should last. Keep in mind the potential fire risks though with foam based projects
That’s not a bad idea, I thought about polystyrene as it’s much cheaper however I didn’t think about putting mesh over it after. If I ever need to build something like this I might give it a try 💪
@@Littlejem You only need the mesh for joins so you may not need to cover a whole project however my projects are small so I do so for added strength of the compound. Just worth pointing out for the benefit of anyone else reading that polystyrene is significantly weaker against compressive forces and highly flammable... So probably don't build a bed 😅 keep up the awesome projects and cant wait to see more!!
I think this is the advice I've been looking for. I've been working on finding a way to turn a game room into a cave esthetic with cave walls, just haven't been able to figure out how, I think drywall mud or something similar to sculpt might be the answer.
@@shawnmormont1931 That sounds pretty awesome, would be like a flintstones room lol If I were doing that I would probably make cave stone tiles that can be installed seamlessly on the wall together to cover the whole room. If you do it that way it means you can change out tiles if some get broke or if you change your mind about particular sections
Uhh, yeah, I would like a themed room like this too, can you hop on over? 🙃 But jokes aside, this is my absolute favorite video on the channel, bar none, your enthusiasm in the into (check the chapter names HAHAH) is so endearing, and the whole project is just this giant ball of "holy crap how do I even begin to do this", that you get to the bottom of, and it's so inspiring, honestly! And I wanna check one more time, but I think I also saw the art I commissioned of your Star-Lord(?) on there, so that made me smile 😄 But anyway, AMAZING project, you're so cool 😭🥺🥰🥰

It is nice to see some fantasy style room design. Other then Nerforge, most channels I have come across has be Star Wars Theme. And while I do like Sci-Fi, I like to see different theme and how people they tackle it. I am wanting to do my own room design and would like to combine fantasy with sci-fi. I wouldn't say I prefer "nature fighting back against humans" but more like "humans and nature working hand in hand, instead of against one another". Instead of a swing made of wooden beams, a swing on a tree. Instead of a house made by digging up a hole and filling it up with concrete and the likes, a treehouse. It doesn't have to be humans vs nature. Humans WITH nature seems so much better to me.
