I'm a believer in Jesus Christ as my one and only Savior, I attend Saddleback church every Sunday, read the Bible every morning and every night, end to end every year for the last 9 years straight, sometimes I push myself to read extra chapters when I feel spiritually distant from God. I'm a member of 2 small groups (all Chistians) that only can skim the surface and are quietly unresponsive to going spirituallly deeper. But I don't know how to participate in or accept or receive God's love or blessings. I live life feeling condemned, I pray over and over to surrender my troubles to God's direction, guidance, piece, power and still end up lost and face down in spiritual, social and overall failure and darkness. It's a never ending struggle with no joy, no piece, but only ongoing misery. I want it to end, I want to die. I'm constantly emotionally and spiritually attacked, rejected by family, and never protected from it all by God although I ask for protection and surrender my life to God daily. Maybe I have a demon, where can I get a deliverance?
See your pastor mate. If your feeling condemnation it's not from God. Perhaps you're feeling guilt. Maybe you aren't letting go of sin? That's leaving the door way open for spiritual attack. Pray for God to reveal your sin so you can turn from it. But you are blessed already mate. God has lavished His goodness all over you. You are living and breathing that blessing enough and if you are a born again believer you have the most amazing blessing of Jesus Christ dying for YOUR sins. You are blessed already.
Derek Prince video on Deliverance showed me where demons are active in my life. other than that I can only tell you, we are in a spiritual war, yes you will be attacked, yes you will suffer but only to the point you can handle, not more. you know people who tell they are soldiers of Christ and live happy lifes? the real thing is not like that, I am driven to the brink every week in my life. its just how it is. leave the world behind, desire to have your eyes opened, the Father knows what you want before you even start praying. total repentance and wanting your mind and way of thinking renewed, rejecting the world. its hard and only few make it. consider the triumph however. I asked God to pull a Enoch on me already and all I got back is, I placed my faith in you, now place some faith into me. you will grow stronger and overcome, never give up. good luck.
also I wanted to add, everyone of God suffered on earth. from the prophets to the apostles and even his Son suffered for us. become comfortable with that mindset.
Though im currently in the greatest struggle in my walk one thing that helped me start seeing Gods love is obedience. You mentioned a checklist of the things you're doing but in your 9 years of reading do you apply the word in your life? The deeper God calls you tye spiritual warefar seems to increase to another level. Do the word, not to add to a list but to draw closer to God. I started to see God's love for me in how he wants me to live my life (the sermon on the mount helped with application). He eventually manifested himself to me as Jesus said he would it we keep his word (forgot which book it's in). I dont know your full story but I hope it helps. God bless you

Stepping out in faith and taking action IS (part of seeking Him and asking Him to reveal himself in His word). This to be done while reading and listening to His word. This is what waiting on Him means. Seeking God is succeeding
I know what your talking about, I got results when I fasted..don't be focused on you or your idea of what should be, but just be, fast, and pray...I got more answers that way than I ever did b4, and I mean years
I am blessed to experience a connection with the Holy Spirit from time to time. That said, I too struggle to feel God’s presence. This advice is as much for me as it is for you, but I truly believe it works: Allow your heart to lead your ways. Your heart reflects your soul, and your soul is your conduit to God. He knows not your physical brain-not to say He doesn’t know your thoughts, but He understands how your mind can be corrupted by this sinful world. Your sins can be forgiven, for to err is human. But if you allow your sins to shape your heart and in turn your soul, you will become irredeemable. “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). The simple version is: You will never “think” the Holy Spirit into your life; it has to be felt.
I'm in that ditch, even though I'm trying to emerge myself in His word, prayers, serving God in 2 ministries after church every Sunday, ernestly participate in 2 small groups on Wednesdays and Fridays. But I always end up back down in that ditch.
