Hurlers at this level are role models for young kids and this kind of behaviour shouldn't be tolerated at any level.

As a huge fan of limerick hurling i am so disappointed to hear the news this morning. I dont know the facts but it should never have happened. Hope it doesn't derail the rest of our championship.
I have always had pride for the limk hurlers but this has tarnished us now.
It won’t effect us at all Kieran, it’s all been been dealt with now , if people only knew the full story , all the Limerick players are right sound fellas and this guy regarding the incident is no different , these things happen and he was just very unlucky and will learn from it. Keep the head up Kieran huge summer of hurling ahead for us.

@@OurGameHQ I respect that as a professional you have a job to do but you totaly ignored the fact that a Tipperary player was also involved in the incident..It takes 2 to tango...At least the Limerick camp dealt with the situation..Tipperary management seem to have no knowledge of what happened and have not made a statement..
@@dermotoconnell3728 Ah I'm sure Shane isn't aware (like me and most people) of the full story and unless someone comes out with it, it sounds like a Limerick player headbutted a Tipp player which is absolutely no way to be carrying on, even if someone was acting the you-know-what. There's being tough, then there's being a thug. I'm just happy it takes the media attention from awkward Kilkenny handshakes!

The Clare game is pretty ideal for them really to make this go away quickly. The likelihood is they could make several changes for that game anyway so the public will be none the wiser as to who was involved in the incident.

Not a limerick supporter as such but why would a player on a winning team go and headbutt a player on the losing team for no reason, has to be provocation, so two sides to every story

We move on. Do a piece on the tipp lad who wrecked supermacs in Thurles a while back after a 20s game....some names might match up.
