I had the pleasure of eating at Daniel and Le Cirque around 1991 as a 28 year old young man visiting NY from Dallas. I remember both meals today. I wish that I could go back in time. Both were glorious.
The French came here to teach us Americans good cuisine eh? It’s the least they could after Americans went to France to show em how to grow a pair and liberate their country for them.
Old boomer mentality shared without enough history about the interaction of these two great countries - During the revolutionary war the French assisted fledgling US in it's struggle against the English. Between 1778 and 1782 the French provided supplies, arms and ammunition, uniforms, and, most importantly, troops and naval support to the beleaguered Continental Army. The French navy transported reinforcements, fought off a British fleet, and protected Washington's forces in Virginia. But no, let's not speak of that. So let's talk about educate ourselves so we can offer informed opinion. Time to read some history, dear sir.

This is just another level of respect. Geniuses themselves but cannot stop praising the person next to them.
