@@WisconsinBourbonBros As a single malt person first and a bourbon person second, I prefer the "funk" as added character. Had the Frey Ranch wheater and it was my favorite.
Ditto, Batch #12 Farm Strength has an overpowering mustiness and wet hay both nose and palate. WAY more funk than a normal wheater. Certainly unique, but cannot believe how everyone else doesn’t mention the mustiness/wet hay. No way I would say the nose is “soft and inviting”
I am so relived to hear this/ i completely thought i had a skunked bottle/// It taste like a purple flinstone vitamin that’s been covered in mold since ‘86- again- why does no one mention this-- 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@@WisconsinBourbonBros whoa no way?! it surprises me of different pallates are between people. I haven’t tried mine yet because this gentleman sent me these thoughts on Batch 12 “Batch 12 has a crazy overpower mustiness and wet hay funk both nose and palate. Buyer beware… it doesn’t match any of these other tasting notes/reviews.. sort of disappointing at the price point.” I then went to RUclips to try to find more reviews. Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts.
The single barrels expressions are even better. Dont sleep on thier single barrel rye, its amazing as well.
I bet! Thank you for the suggestion!! This bottle was our first interaction with the lineup. Very impressed
Thanks for the incredible in-depth review. Next time in Vegas I’ll have to give it a try!
Must try
I got this last week. Not bad.. but there.is a.'grandma's basement'..mustiness.to it. ..not gonna lie. Lol
We get that funk on wheaters sometimes as well
