@@NathanWalters Could you react to BTS Just One Day? It is one of their really old songs, very very underrated, not many people know about it unfortunately. I would love to hear your observations on this song! Thx!
@@mutedlion74 I love, Just One Day, especially the dance practice version where V gets a fit of the giggles and Jin uses his Mario doll instead of the rose he uses in performances.
I’m currently reading their book, and I just got to the part when they were writing this song. They were gaining popularity and received loved from fans and a lot of hate from everyone else. They were going thru a very difficult time and felt lost. My interpretation was that they were mentally exhausted but still had to put on a smile and keep doing what they do for fans. And the fans loving them in turn made them wonder if it’s fake love if they weren’t actually showing their real selves on stage. They’ve also always wondered why their fans love them. On top of this, this song is part of the BU (bangtan universe) which is a fictional story line that runs through some of their songs and albums. It’s too complicated and deep to explain here. Best to watch some of those explanation videos. There’s a video of BTS reacting to ppl who covered this song. U should check it out. There’s a metal cover. And perhaps watch a live version too. Maybe MAMA 2018?
When I first saw this video, and knew they had written the song, I had a strong feeling that that was the message even though it was tied to the story line.
Yes. YES! Please do a cover of this song in the style you were singing. It's a great idea. A beautiful soft version of the melody perfectly fits your voice. Others have made covers too using the same kind of idea. Changing a fast song into a slow ballad. There is no reason you can't sing/rap a few words and add them into your cover song. We can't wait. I'll try to find some examples for you. Actually, BTS really loves their songs being turned into covers. They will RUclips themselves watching them. So. Be inspired!
As a long-time Army, I have discovered many musicians (on RUclips)over the years who have performed their own beautiful renditions of favorite BTS songs with piano versions, harp versions, guitar etc. from very talented musicians from children to adults from all over the world! 😊🎉💜🎶
Jimin is my bias too! Once you Jimin you don't Jimout. Side note, my dad was also a musician and songwriter, I showed him BTS and their music videos (he was in his 70's) when this album came out, and he said, "If this makes it to the West, they're gonna be like the Beatles." Anyway, I really enjoy your reactions, thanks for checking out BTS. I recommend Jonghyun when you can too. Anything form Jonghyun. I'll look forward to your cover of Fake Love!
The Fake Love dance practice is amazing. Their dance moves are even full of meaning, acting like 'puppets' and covering their eyes/ears/mouth as in see no/hear no/speak no evil. (Try and add captions for your viewers) If you search BTS FAKE LOVE EXTENDED VERSION there are a few extra bits in the longer video and it is totally guitar based. You should react to that too.💜
Nathan your piano playing is beautiful- so musically artistic. You keep exhibiting more and more layers of musicality. I’m learning so much from watching your reactions. The depth of your appreciation is really impressive.
The silhouette of the one dancing is Jimin. I'm sure others will tell you but the MV is part of the BU (Bangtan Universe) so there's layers upon layers and meaning in basically everything. Love the commentary on the musicality and mixing sounds together. Thank you!
There’s so much meaning behind this video. There’s also a behind the scenes video which is amazing. All their music is connected and part of a storyline hence you will find a lot of Easter eggs in their music videos
I would love for you to do a cover of fake love. I'm glad you reacted to this, it was my introduction to BTS and still one of my faves. That was Jimin's silhouette dancing. Since you are a musician I highly recommend his solo song Lie. Its musically captivating and tells the story of the song in the music itself. Musicians love it. :) Borahae!
Check out Airplane pt.II, Idol and Blood Sweat and Tears for their diversity and lots of the things you appreciate. Keep on doing those great reactions 💜
Doolset means TwoThree. There’s a lovely BTS song called that, 2!3! (Hoping for More Good Days). They not only translate but also give insights to the background of the lyrics and explain the word play you often find in BTS songs. Jin makes me smile when he sings, ‘Fake love’ because there is no, ‘V’ in Korean so he says, Lub, instead of, love. If you listen to V saying his name in the early days he says it as Pwi or Bwi. He’s got the hang of it now.
I love when Jin says Lub instead of Love = it's just so cute! I think I read something on Weverse or online from Jin (just before he entered the military I believe) where he wrote a message to ARMY and ended it with Allubyu (I Love You) but it was written how he would pronounce it with his Korean accent. Just super cute! Jin is really a special person and so talented. 💜
A todos nos encanta la voz angelical de Jimin el que estaba bailando era Jimin el es increíble para bailar es uno del los idols de kpop más completos 👑🔥💜
This was my favorite reaction so far! I like that you looked up the lyrics first and all the productions comments. Thank you. That is Jimin dancing in shadow. I saved a screenshot as my lock screen on my phone for a while. The extended version is more rock/gutitar heavy and the video reveals a bit more of the story. BUT the story can be difficult to grasp from one video as it belongs to the BU and spans MANY videos.
You've Jimined-in. It's Jimin dancing at 12:24 and also Jimin at 8:57. LOL! I love your reactions because you talk about the instruments, set design, vocals, choreo, etc....
Before watching the MAMA 2019 awards performance, make sure you’ve reacted to Fire, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Save Me, and if others remember the 3 other ones besides what they sing in full, please list that too. 💜💜💜💜💜💜👏👏👏
No CGI on this. The floor really fell away, the explosion, the water, all practical. You should watch the behind the scenes of the filming of their videos. Very interesting.
The water pouring out around Jimin is real. The fire with Yoongi is real, but much smaller IRL - they play around with angles and perspective. The floor falling down behind Jungkook as he runs down the hallway is real. BTS rarely use CGI if they can do it with practical effects. :)
Love your reactions, BTS great lyrics on House of Cards, The Truth Untold, Your Eyes Tell.. Guitar: Filter by Jimin.. Life Goes On is a gorgeous song.. And there's something like: Once you JimIN you can't JimOUT.. ARMY will tell better.. 😁
Oh, you really need to see several of these live. One thing I noticed is that you are both a visual and auditory processor. The very first thing you mention you like is the ‘colors’ & then the instruments following up with their dancing skills. Neat to see your processing their material. There’s 10+ years worth of group & individual reaction content.💜
You got it, the heart of the song is that if you change yourself for a relationship, that's not love based in truth. It's a flower that will never bloom. The album tells a story - this is one piece of that story. Whether it's based on personal experience isn't something we know about, but it still rings true. I think Jimin wrote this melody, if I remember correctly. Please please please do a piano & vocal reinterpretation of Fake Love. It would be beautiful and the guys have been known to watch covers 😁 they appreciate it when people cover their songs. I think you'd be able to do something amazing with Blood Sweat and Tears as well. It's another one with a lovely melody. Have you seen it yet? I can't remember.
In their book "Beyond the Story", they do mention that this song WAS based on their feelings at the time, though not about romantic love. In early 2018 they were struggling and thinking of disbanding, but they pretended that they were fine in front of ARMY.
@@evantesseract737 - I love the book! I read it twice already, haha. It contains so many insights into their thoughts and feelings in every stage of their career. I was particularly interested in their pre-debut and near-disbandment periods and I learned much about them in the related chapters.
That is Jimin's silhouette in that dance. He studied contemporary dance so he will usually be the one to do the beautiful dance solos, J- Hope or even JK will have more hard hitting.
I don’t agree that Jimin doesn’t ‘hard hit’; he was a hip hop, popping/locking dancer long before he studied contemporary! He can hit as hard as he needs to based on what’s required for the choreo.
@@ArmantoAlex13 yeah i agree, JM literally has many videos pre-debut while he is doing the popping and hip hop dancing in a competition/dance fight he is really more than fine there's no need to say JK surpassing him 😅, i don't know why armys always try to cage him in the contemporary dance category and play him down in all the other categories to praise JH and JK 😅 like?? he studied dancing like JH he is not in any way any less than JH, JK is a really great dancer but his did not studied or major in dancing, but he is also not far behind them and he doesn't need this second hand compliments for his bandmate JM to uplifting him in the eyes of others 😅😅
@@ريمع-ص7ب It’s called passive aggressive! They like to try elevating JK’s dance skills while downplaying Jimin’s! It’s stupid! The fact is, Jimin is not only main dancer (like JHope), he’s one of the best dancers in the world because he’s a dance prodigy and so versatile! Whether they like it or not, Jimin is skilled in modern dance (incl. ballet), contemporary dance, hip hop (including popping in locking) and then creates HIS OWN genre incorporating his 8 years of martial arts into his dance as well! There is NO ONE like him on the planet! Tkkrs & Jkkrs can’t stand it any time he is complimented or talked about (admired) by experts in the dance industry! It’s pathetic! I also want to add that over time and seeing his recent dancing, in my opinion, V has surpassed JK! V has been steadily improving his dance skills while JK has pretty much stayed the same. They need to worry about V, with good reason!
First one! Glad you have listened to "Fake love"! It's one of their best makings ever! You should listen to the live performance as well and how each one of them hit the right notes 😍
BTS has an alternate world, or lore, story line going through a number of there songs, video games, books and more. It is a long story and something to dive into if you want to totally nerd out on the group. This song has heavy Bangtan Universe, or the BU, references. The song stands on its own but the visuals for the video can be confusing. Everyone mentions the snickers Hobi is laying in. Hobi's character was abandoned by his mother at an amusememt park with a candy bar as a small child. Suga has a fire thing, Jimin a water thing, etc. It really is interesting as they weave together social comentary, beautiful music, and a BU story line. Anyway, yes, that was real fire, water and floor dropping under JK as he ran. Mini movies, absolutely. I agree with others, check BS&T, Idol, DNA then think about checking out sub unit songs and solo work. I have something like 300 songs or features, like dance practice and special performances, on a master list I use as I irritate my friends at work by sharing a song a day. ARMYs gotta do what an ARMYs gotta do. 😊 keep listening, sharing and enjoying! As Jimin would say, "you good, keep going".
I can’t believe how you’re able to immediately repeat the melody (either playing the piano or singing) after hearing it for the first time. To me, Jin’s parts are the most outstanding on this song.
I'm just stoked to see you, The Nathan Walters of Plus One, who I've been listening to in my childhood ( I was 11 when Plus One debuted), react to BTS, which is I love too, so much, and loving Jimin too, my bias. I always take reactors who are legit musicians seriously because you know how things work inside and outside the industry. Much respect! I hope you react to Jimin's first baby a.k.a. his first solo song, Serendipity. The music video is around 2+ minutes, but there's a longer and full version but sadly, there's no MV so you can watch Serendipity stage mix, where his live performances of the song were put together sooo smoothly 🥹🫰💜
If you want your mind completely blown, watch the video again with the knowledge that the petals are the only CGI in the whole music video. Literally everything else is practical. The explosion, the floor falling apart, the phones on the wall, the waterfall, the fire....all REAL. SO COOL! Love this one
Thank you for the reaction. I hope you check out the vocal line’s songs below as you like the melody of songs: - zero o’clock - truth untold - house of cards - dimple Hope you are enjoying diving down the BTS rabbit hole. 💜
A vocal line classic is Truth Untold live in Japan. The song was produced by Steve Aoki, co-written by RM and features Jin, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. The style is so different from other BTS songs. It's a classic unrequited love story.
I’ve been waiting for your reaction to Fake Love! 😊 You’ve become one of my favorite K-pop reaction watches and I’m looking forward to more! I recommend Mikrakosmos, Magic Shop, I Need U, Euphoria, Dimple, there’s a lot lol

Thanks for watching BTS! I've heard you speak about their beautiful music videos and how you enjoy how theatric they are. Did you know there is a whole BTS Universe (BU) that is woven through their music. It has a dedicated storyline with books, a Webtoon and a TV show coming soon!
Fake love… the visuals relate to the storyline called bangtan universe… which started in 2015 with the track “I need you” and continued through MV’s, short films, notebooks and a web game…but the lyrics are thematically very much a part of the love yourself tear album… themes of masking and unmasking, loss and grief … like outro:tear and the truth untold… and the magic shop….. where pain can be resolved… Thk you💜
When ever BTS sings about relationships, my interpretation in most of them is about self reflect and I always think they are singing about themselves. Their real hidden self when alone (shadow) v their idol self in public (light). The pressure must be immense to always try and be perfect in accordance with everyones expectation. Lovin your reactions. Stay cool 🇻🇬
I've been waiting for you to react to this song knowing you'd like it. It really put a smile on my face that you really enjoyed listening to Fake Love. I love Jimin's tone too. I think that his tone adds beautiful color to BTS music. Aside from having beautiful and unique tone he's also an amazing dancer. You mentioned the solouett, that was Jimin dancing. He has a lot of especial participation in their choreography due to his background in contemporary dancing. Thank you for reacting to this song. You said that you love synth, please do a reaction on Jimin's music video, "Like Crazy" from his solo album FACE. I honestly think you'd enjoy the production of it. Looking forward to more reactions for you.
you should cover the english version of Jimin's Like Crazy song :) you said you have a high voice and it would be perfect! also maybe check out Suga (as Agust D) playing Life Goes On live from his recent concerts. it's less rap heavy and more sing-songy. he's a great piano player. there's a good stage mix you can actually see him playing.
So this was one of the first songs I truly fell in love with and one day I decided to sit down and read through the lyrics. And I was honestly very uncomfortable. While on the surface the song is about creating a fake version of yourself to make the person you love happy I couldn't shake the nagging thought... "is this song about BTS? Are they singing about the pain of having to have to present the idol public persona while being miserable?" What I'd didnt know at the time is BTS music is often reflective of their journey as people and musicians. But I'm currently reading through their autobiographical book and apparently at the time this song was written and produced, BTS was exhausted and on the verge of breaking up due to the stress. So the song isn't what I thought (ie idols being miserable because of being idols) but more that they are tired, and in pain but they continue making themselves produce and sing and dance for the sake of their fans. I read that in the book and was like "damn". I'm glad that they seem to be in a much healthier place now as artists
I saw somewhere ,this is about each one’s fears , the snicker bars was J Hopes mother left him a snickers bar when she deserted him . A lost love of one other member and so on . Check out some of the BTS descriptions.
Let me explain some of the symbolism real quick. Not all of it, because this video is part of the BTS universe storyline, and I would have to go back to the beginning to explain all the BU references in this video (for example, except Jungkook each member is in a room that represents the childhood trauma of their BU character) but the fake love symbolism is this: the flower in the lamp at the beginning represents the fake love and although Jin is desperately trying to protect it, it turns to ash in the lamp. In the interlude scene Jungkook finds the empty lamp now sitting on a pile of ashes. As he lets the ashes slip through his fingers you see the shadows of the flower petals that represented the fake love floating away, symbolizing letting go of the fake love. Once he has let the fake love go a door opens. As he walks through the door that was opened by letting his fake love go he is confronted with a masked figure who begins to take off the mask. We know from subsequent videos that that masked figure is Jungkook himself. Meaning that he was now ready to learn who he truly is behind the mask. It’s almost an allegory. The message of the song and the video is that you have to let go of fake love so that you can start learning to love yourself the way you are.
BTS is constantly preconforming their songs! Somethings song while sound like a ballad, other times Pop, later hiphop. They write all their own music and often re-write later. BTS songs ALWAYS have layers in meaning. A lot of people see the song as a fake love for yourself?
Explosion, fire and water are actually real! The huge hand statue at the beginning real too! Same with the steps falling. BTS usually do everything live. This is beautiful!
This video is strongly link to the BU which is the Bangtan Universe, its a fictional story that runs through the music videos of BTS it all starts with I Need You from 2015
11:34 - Yes! The vast majority of scenes and effects in this video (as with most of their MVs) were practical effects rather than digitally added in post-production. This includes the falling floor earlier in the video, as well as the water and fire. The behind-the-scenes is really amazing to watch. I'd also like to take a moment to stop and appreciate how you were able to just pick up and play the melody. I can copy vocals like that, but I couldn't translate it to an instrument so easily.
Fake love is a song about how they work very hard to perform for ARMY/Fans but instead of wearing a mask (being an IDOL) they wished we would love their imperfect selves. The Behind the Story book discusses this in chapter 5 or 6. I never hear the song the same anymore. In South Korea, they are suppose to be PERFECT and they get treat them badly if any "scandal" comes about. They can't smoke, date, get drunk, be virgins, and always happy, etc..being FAKE to entertain others. That is how they are setup. Here in the US.., we dont "cancel" them if they are caught smoking, start to date..etc.
Fake Love is a song made at a time when BTSs were having a hard time thinking about breaking up. What this song means may be love with a lover, but it's also about self-love. So it's a song made from experiences where they decided to become the stars that their fans wanted and had to hide and change themselves. There's no time to look back on themselves, and they're talking about celebrities who can only be loved by the public in the way they want them to be, and you can feel that they were a little tired of this kind of life at this time.
This mv is a part of hyyh storyline that is why it has many metaphors-they all related to the story- . Bts has created the storyline which they tell us through their music, mvs, video games etc. The hyyh storyline is a whole different rabbit hole itself 😭
Happy you're back with us... There seems to be many different layers to this song. As there are with most of their songs especially from this ("Love Yourself") era. One layer is... an artist's dilemma of giving up too much of themselves to the audience for fame. But the symbolism in this video (water, fire, snickers) recalls the BTS Journey films. They are still up on YT and it might be a good idea to watch and react to them. There are 7 films. One for each member and they are dystopian coming of age stories (very short - I think all of them together ad up to less than 30 minutes. When they came out, a lot of young ARMYs thought they were the boys real background stories... they are actually the exact opposite of each of their real lives. (JMO, I personally think that Big Hit used them to teach the group how to act so they'd make better videos) But they were a pretty big hit and promoted the album (Wings) in a big way. Even in some of their later videos you can see some symbolism from that era being used in a newer video. You do good work, it's nice to see you here. 🕊😇 💚🌹💜
BTS does amazing concept work and over the years it got just more complex. (BTW there is another version of Fake Love where the MV is a little different and longer + a more rocky remix) What is important here is that we are on the "Love Yourself"-series first introduced by the "Love Yourself Highlight Reel" which bridges the era between Wings and the LY-series and is part of the BU (if I remember correctly). The concept begins with the first song on "Love Yourself: Her" "Intro: Serendibity" which is sung by Jimin and tells of a story begining after a first meeting that is kinda scary to trust in but feels like destiny/fate. "DNA" is the title track: full blown love and perfection: reincarnation, written into the DNA, fate, destiny etc. But already at the end doubts begin to be felt in "Outro: Her". The atmosphere shifts complitly in the begining of the "Love Yourself: Tear" album with Taehyung performing "Intro: Singularity". Here we have denial but already the knowledge what is wrong. It is not accepted yet. "Fake Love" goes from "I don't know why" to "I just know why" and accepts that the singer has forgotten who they really are while trying to be perfect for the other person in the relationship. (the highlight reel shows that rather well, too). So in "Fake Love" the relationship is ripped apart. "Outro: Tear" holds all the pain, confusion and anger of the failed relationship. The third album is pretty much a compilation album: "Love Yourself: Answer". But now we get the answer: "Epiphany" sung by Jin aknowledges that to love others we need to love our imperfect self first. "Idol" is a full celebration of self-love and themselves as artists and Idols (both; SK does not usually aknolwedge Idols as artists so this is bridging that gap in perception) The masked stranger is JK himself: To love yourself you need to know yourself which is the next conceptwork: The Map of the Soul (Jungian psychology) The next chapter begins with the "Persona" which is about how we represent ourself to others/are seen. it is rather well presented with a mask which appears in the performances. Meanwhile the MV of "Fake Love" also works with the concepts of the BU that officially began with "I need U" (adult) MV and is rather meta in experience. For example the water, fire and snickers represent trauma of the characters they play in the BU. Personally I think what is flying here are the burnt pieces of the photo that Jimin burned in the HYYH (The most beautiful moments in Life)-series. (There should be a Bangtan Bomb about the filming.) Because the relationship this is about is only on the surface romantic. It can be a relationship with family, friends, coworkers etc. You nice! Keep going! 💜
This can also be interpreted as fake love for ourselves... you can see them looking at themselves in a mirror, cell phones possibly representing the face we put out to the public. Maybe we dont feel like we love our own real selves and strive to become this perfect thing portrayed in social media. But then we dont know who we truly are... Maybe its about the love they get from fans based off of the persona they put out there, but wonder what would everyone think of us if they knew our real selves? So many ways to interpret this.
"Doll" refers to marionettes - those puppets on strings, controlled by others. The choreo is inspired by the movements of marionettes - arms high, jerky movements. The song can be interpreted in many ways but within the context of the album and Love Yourself series, they are talking about self-love and whether you are loving yourself right. RM allude strongly to this when he looked into the mirror and seeing another person, then Suga was talking about his all-consuming ambitions. The visuals (the flower, candy bars, fire, water, mobile phones on the wall and all) are part of the BTS Universe fictional storyline. Those are petals flying. The SAVE ME when inverted says IM FINE and there is a "save me", and "im fine" BTS songs.

That was Jimin's silhouette dancing. Since you are a musician I highly recommend his solo song Lie. Its musically captivating and tells the story of the song in the music itself. Musicians love it. :)
Borahae!
Yes, please react to 'Lie' by Jimin.
Most musicians are delighted/surprised to figure out the musical part of the "lie." 😊
Yes Jimin's lie is very iconic
Yessss he would love it
Great recommendation! Lie is a must to react to!
the silhouette dancing was jimin. he's so amazing 😁💜👍
That's Jimin silhouette who is dancing he's good at dancing contemporary next you should react to his lie live performance 👌💯
He’s good at dancing anything, not just contemporary which he learned later after hip hop.
Jimin is good in everything….☺️i love jimin
@@leizelgadian6668 He sure is!!!🐣🩵
The one whose silhouette was dancing is the amazing Jimin!
Check out Airplane pt.II, Idol and Blood Sweat and Tears for their diversity and lots of the things you appreciate.
Keep on doing those great reactions 💜
And the explanation for IDOL by DKDK TV too
Doolset means TwoThree.
I always wonder what’s mean by ‘Doolset’. That’s very lovely and touching 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
That's our pretty boy Jimin dancing in silhouette.
12:35 Its Jimin ♡
Before watching the MAMA 2019 awards performance, make sure you’ve reacted to Fire, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Save Me, and if others remember the 3 other ones besides what they sing in full, please list that too. 💜💜💜💜💜💜👏👏👏
No CGI on this. The floor really fell away, the explosion, the water, all practical. You should watch the behind the scenes of the filming of their videos. Very interesting.
The dancing you were asking about is done by Jimin
The water pouring out around Jimin is real. The fire with Yoongi is real, but much smaller IRL - they play around with angles and perspective.
The floor falling down behind Jungkook as he runs down the hallway is real.
BTS rarely use CGI if they can do it with practical effects. :)
Jimin is the silhouette dancing
Love your reactions, BTS great lyrics on House of Cards, The Truth Untold, Your Eyes Tell.. Guitar: Filter by Jimin.. Life Goes On is a gorgeous song.. And there's something like: Once you JimIN you can't JimOUT.. ARMY will tell better.. 😁
Agree with this but also Crystal snow. Absolutely gorgeous song 💜
you should look at the behind the scenes for this one. It's so impressive. The scene with Jimin in the room that was flooding with water? Real.
The water is real, the siluet is Jimin by the way, love your reaction video 🤩
@@biru-kelabu-0821 ahhhh, I haven't read it yet! I didn't know that was connected to this song as well, but it makes sense. Thank you 💜
@@evantesseract737 - I love the book! I read it twice already, haha. It contains so many insights into their thoughts and feelings in every stage of their career. I was particularly interested in their pre-debut and near-disbandment periods and I learned much about them in the related chapters.
@@biru-kelabu-0821 I keep putting it off for when I have time to really relax and read it 🤣 which is silly, I know!
@ 12.28 'who's dancing? who is this?' that is our multi talented artist head-to-toe Jiminie!!!!!
Indiscutiblemente caíste en el Efecto de PARK JIMIN, te entiendo perfecto, así nos a pasado a Millones es Imposible no Admirarlo 🕺🐣🤩😍🤍❤️
The shadow belongs to the precious Jimin, an outstanding contemporary dance, thanks you
the one dancing in the silhouette is jimin, love your reaction
Love seeing you play out parts of the song on the piano. You can tell when someone is genuinely into/excited about a song. Great video!
Thank you. Not sure of you saw, but I actually ended up doing a cover of it!
Jimin's neck is everything in this video!
Todos amamos la voz única e inigualable de Jimin ❤
I can’t believe how you’re able to immediately repeat the melody (either playing the piano or singing) after hearing it for the first time.
To me, Jin’s parts are the most outstanding on this song.
Jimin dancing
BTS BIGGEST BAND in the world 💜
That’s JIMIN That’s Jimin’s Silhouette ❤🥰 PRINCE JIMIN SILHOUETTE 👑❤️🔥
The Truth Untold is beautiful
That is Jimin dancing in the part you asked about💜
If you want your mind completely blown, watch the video again with the knowledge that the petals are the only CGI in the whole music video. Literally everything else is practical. The explosion, the floor falling apart, the phones on the wall, the waterfall, the fire....all REAL. SO COOL! Love this one
some scenes in this mv are part of the BU (Bangtan Universe) which is a storyline that runs through some of their earlier mvs. Its super cool.
Thank you for the reaction. I hope you check out the vocal line’s songs below as you like the melody of songs:
- zero o’clock
- truth untold
- house of cards
- dimple
Hope you are enjoying diving down the BTS rabbit hole. 💜
If u can't love yourself then it's fake love : Moral Of Fake Love Song
The person who Dancing is our jimin he is good at everything
Can you react to some songs by BTS vocal line, but live?
-House Of Cards
-The Truth Untold
-Zero O'clock
And plz React to Louder Than Bombs 💜
That’s your boy Jimin dancing in silhouette.
Awe. Thank you so much!
@@NathanWalters if you would like to hear singing them inlive there are beautiful songs in Japanese Your eyes tell, Film out, Crystal snow and the song House of cards and Zero o'clock (last two just by vocal line) ... and there is also Fix you of Cold play ... enjoy 🙂
Thanks for watching BTS! I've heard you speak about their beautiful music videos and how you enjoy how theatric they are. Did you know there is a whole BTS Universe (BU) that is woven through their music. It has a dedicated storyline with books, a Webtoon and a TV show coming soon!
Fake love… the visuals relate to the storyline called bangtan universe… which started in 2015 with the track “I need you” and continued through MV’s, short films, notebooks and a web game…but the lyrics are thematically very much a part of the love yourself tear album… themes of masking and unmasking, loss and grief … like outro:tear and the truth untold… and the magic shop….. where pain can be resolved…
Thk you💜
When ever BTS sings about relationships, my interpretation in most of them is about self reflect and I always think they are singing about themselves.
The writing on the back wall says "Save Me", but it also says "Im Fine" the other way. These are two of BTS songs.
Fake love is in my top bts songs list. It’s just pure art musically, lyrically and visually!
you should cover the english version of Jimin's Like Crazy song :) you said you have a high voice and it would be perfect!
also maybe check out Suga (as Agust D) playing Life Goes On live from his recent concerts. it's less rap heavy and more sing-songy. he's a great piano player. there's a good stage mix you can actually see him playing.
Agreed
So this was one of the first songs I truly fell in love with and one day I decided to sit down and read through the lyrics. And I was honestly very uncomfortable. While on the surface the song is about creating a fake version of yourself to make the person you love happy I couldn't shake the nagging thought... "is this song about BTS? Are they singing about the pain of having to have to present the idol public persona while being miserable?"
What I'd didnt know at the time is BTS music is often reflective of their journey as people and musicians.
I cant believe you heard the song once and started playing it on piano. Wow
It’s not a love between 2 people. It’s about themselves and the turmoil within themselves.
A lot of people see the song as a fake love for yourself?
that one dancing at the end (when you said you liked the silhouette) is jimin
Explosion, fire and water are actually real! The huge hand statue at the beginning real too! Same with the steps falling. BTS usually do everything live. This is beautiful!
This video is strongly link to the BU which is the Bangtan Universe, its a fictional story that runs through the music videos of BTS it all starts with I
Need You from 2015
Fake Love was the one that pulled me down the rabbit hole. It will always be my favourite BTS song, there is something just so very special about it.
Fluid lines in silhouette is always Jimin cause he is a great lyrical dancer.
There is a ‘rocking vibe’ remix of this song with even more guitar which is really great
You asked who was dancing. This is Jimin. It's always him
“love you so bad” is the CHORUS. “I’m so sick of this fake love” part is the post-chorus.
Yes! Your voice is gorgeous! Do a cover! 💖
I NEED THE FULL PIANO VERSION FROM YOU WHATTTT !!! THAT'S SO BEAUTIFUL
This mv is a part of hyyh storyline that is why it has many metaphors-they all related to the story- . Bts has created the storyline which they tell us through their music, mvs, video games etc. The hyyh storyline is a whole different rabbit hole itself 😭
indeed! he's changing himself in order to fit what he thinks it's expected of him, hence he's sick of the fake love. They love someone who isn't him
Happy you're back with us... 🕊😇 💚🌹💜
The meaning applies to almost every relationship, it’s a lot about self love, about knowing yourself…
BTS does amazing concept work and over the years it got just more complex.
(BTW there is another version of Fake Love where the MV is a little different and longer + a more rocky remix)
What is important here is that we are on the "Love Yourself"-series first introduced by the "Love Yourself Highlight Reel" which bridges the era between Wings and the LY-series and is part of the BU (if I remember correctly).
"Idol" is a full celebration of self-love and themselves as artists and Idols (both; SK does not usually aknolwedge Idols as artists so this is bridging that gap in perception)
The masked stranger is JK himself: To love yourself you need to know yourself which is the next conceptwork: The Map of the Soul (Jungian psychology) The next chapter begins with the "Persona" which is about how we represent ourself to others/are seen. it is rather well presented with a mask which appears in the performances.
(There should be a Bangtan Bomb about the filming.)
Because the relationship this is about is only on the surface romantic. It can be a relationship with family, friends, coworkers etc.
You nice! Keep going! 💜
With this song I found BTS I played all day long I was obsessed with Fake love but I became Army 2 years later
