As I'm transitioning from web development to a SOC Analyst role, I'm actively pursuing certifications to validate my skills and knowledge. I've already completed Security+ and EJPT, and I'm currently studying for BTL1. A LearnOne subscription will be invaluable in achieving my next goal: the OSDA certification. This certification aligns perfectly with my career aspirations, as it covers essential areas like defensive analysis and response skills and more.
I am on a path to be a SoC analyst. I have already learned the basics of IT and starting to grasp the general knowledge for Cybersecurity fields and I am pretty sure this course would help me get a foot in the door for an analyst L1 position!
I am extremely curious about Off-sec, I think they are doing a great job increasing the scope of their platform to include entry level certs like OSCC, and defensive skills with the certs for Threat hunting and this one, I would definitely like to give it a try, specially to OSDA since is a defensive cert that looks to defense from the attacker perspective, really interesting. Best luck to everyone in the Giveaway.
It's pretty interesting that OffSec is now investing into the SOC-based cert market. So many have come out now, CCD, BTL1, HTB CDSA, you got TCM joining in the market and now OffSec want's to throw their lot in too. I could love to see what they've got in store. I've already completed the SOC Role Path on HTB for the CDSA and I really enjoyed the way they demonstrated their methodology for conducting an investigation and how to incorporate some of the industries tools and strategies for collecting data sifting through and analyzing large data sets. It looks like this certification can offer advanced training for me in a broader scale of Security Operations past what the CDSA or what TCM covered. It would be pretty cool if I got the experience to take this certification.
I'm a jr security analyst who has a lot of knowledge gaps in the technical side of things. If I were to be blessed with a learn one subscription, I would use it for one of the blue team certs: OSDA, OSIR, or OSTH. Additionally, I'd take advantage of the KLCP and OSWP vouchers offered in the learn one subscription. I'm in a very low paying role but I'm happy to have a job. I just wish I could afford this level of training. Thank you for the opportunity, Day! Even though you're younger than me, you're my hero and you were my inspiration to get into cyber. Keep doing what you do and I hope to see more OffSec review from you.
I have already taken the google cybersec cert and the comptia sec+, so i would use the offsec subscription to get more "hands on" practice and specialize my knowledge in SOC.
A learn 1 subscription would be perfect, I got out of the military a year ago and am currently working on my degree. This would be great to add to my resume in pursuit of becoming a soc analyst.
How I Would Use the Learn One Subscription As a SOC Analyst, I would use the Learn One subscription to complete the OSDA training and enhance my blue team skills. The course covers critical topics such as: • Windows Endpoint Introduction • Windows Server-Side Attacks • Windows Client-Side Attacks • Windows Privilege Escalation • Windows Persistence • Linux Endpoint Introduction • Linux Server-Side Attacks I’d leverage the hands-on labs to build practical expertise in these areas and work systematically to earn the OSDA certification within the year. This training will strengthen my ability to detect and respond to threats, boost my career, and prepare me for advanced roles in cybersecurity.
Hey, brother! Been trying to reach that next level of cyber security for years (been stuck training up noobs in schools and small businesses, but never getting recognition for my work)! This training could be life changing! Thanks a ton for the awareness! Hopefully, I can afford it someday. For now, I’ll just keep doing the free and open ones (ISC2 CC, Fortinet partner trainings, Microsoft Learn, Coursera.). Best wishes to everyone!
Endpoints section is the one I wish to learn before I took eCIR certification from INE. Which would definitely help me to understand the flow of the attacks and how it works. The subscription from OffSec as a known respected providers for high quality content would be a good catch to build solid foundational in defensive security. Since LearnOne subs give an access to one course. As an aspiring Threat Hunter, either SOC/IR/TH-200 would provide perfect piece of cybersecurity puzzle to learn. Additionally proving grounds is a battle of understanding the concepts and put into action. These definitely will help to gain boost of knowledge, confidence and might have the opportunity to share back to the communities through knowledge sharing.
Hey! I planned out to learn the topics that are listed in the syllabus from free resources. If I’d get the course it’d be a great learning experience! Thanks for shedding light on this.
I very much enjoyed your review of this course. It appears to be a valuable complement to the course I'm taking. I hope I won the giveaway so I can take advantage of this great opportunity!
Would something like this help a career switcher like myself get past the HR filter? I’ve had the Sec +, CC, and Josh Madakor course. I’ve added them onto the resume in an effort to get noticed.
If I had a learnone subscription bro.. I'd go absolutely crazy, I honestly don't feel like college has been fun for awhile now and with this, I'll probably drop out and just make the most of it to become a soc analyst, the knowledge you described seems to be the most advanced out of all things I've looked at, from THM, TCM, HTB, sec 200 is a whole nother beast! I hope to win it and prove myself.
@@DayCyberwox thanks man, everyday is a struggle knowing that my college degree wont give me the necessary skills to even get work with how competitive the market is right now, thanks so much for the opportunity man, you're the boss
by the way, i love your honesty when taking cert exams... the "its okay to fail once mindset" helps me push forward, cause i'm always scared of failure that hasn't even happened yet..
Great Review. I wish I could have the opportunity to take this course...I've already done the OSCP and this course will complement it nicely. Great job, day!
Hello Day, what a great chance on a giveaway. I would choose the Soc-200 for my learn one course so that I could get the hands on experience that I am looking for and a cert to say that I have the necessary experience to be a soc analyst.
Hello, on blue team side I have HTB CDSA and on the red team side I have PNPT, eJPTv1 and CRTO. I would love to get a learn one subscription and give OSDA a try. I think a good defender needs to be a good attacker as well, I have been doing some red teaming mostly recently and hence this would be bring me back in touch with blue team again. Although I have all these certs mentioned earlier, I haven't got into the industry yet so I guess Offsec's OSDA might help me with it! Goodluck all!
I want to learn how to become a SOC analyst because programming really isn't for me, my family forced me into taking something with either engineering in the name but I chose computer science as I thought it would be fun, but there wasn't any cybersecurity involved which I learned to later love after doing CTFs, I hope to win this challenge and make myself proud.
Hi! Soo I'm a network and systems administrator student interested in transitioning to Cybersecurity after completing the course (which is this year), for the blue team specifically, and this would be the perfect chance for it to happen, and I would choose this course! Thank you for the giveaway! Good luck to all!
I'm planning to use the course (if I win) to advance my skillset and make myself more hireable in the cybersecurity market. As an aspiring SOC Analyst, I am having fun learning about blue teaming technologies and methods during my entire journey so far.
I would love to get the osda course I'm financially not at all good I'm trying to level up skills every day. I hope I'll get it Best of luck to everyone
Hi Day, Great video as usual! I'm a new SOC analyst and don’t have any certifications yet. I’d love to earn an Offsec certification, especially the SOC-200, as I’m a big fan of their work. I appreciate your hard work.
in my case scenario im a teacher of cyse at a college located in Aruba. thus far my students are learning from the cybersecurity associate course from cisco. It is a good course but unfortunately its too much theoretical and focuses alot on blue teaming. by winning this give away it would be a perfect chance to aquire this knowledge and teach my students more hands on cyse ❤
I'm from a non IT background can I go ahead directly to this course? I'm a anti fraud in security operation centre and deal with takedown of phishing URL vishing/smshing and BEC scams.
Thanks for the review Day and the opportunity to delve into secops mind set, all defenders need to understand the offensive to better defend organisations, that's what I would use the learn one subscription for, take what Id learn from the 103 and 210 and develop defensive strategies against real world threats and improve our current security posture utilising proving grounds.
hi guys, this would really be a great course to enhance my skills in the defensive space. Training for us in South Africa is quite expensive and this would really come in handy.
Hey, I am Abhishek M L, I am a student and this course has always been on my list. But could not purchase due to my financial issue. If you could give me this course I would definitely be very grateful to you. This will be a stepping stone in my cyber security learning journey. I have been using all free resources to learn blue teaming It would really be helpful to me if you could provide me with it 😄
Early! I would love the opportunity to win this giveaway, currently I’m enrolled in WGU for a bachelor in cybersecurity. I recently got my first IT job as a it support helpdesk technician and would love to use this subscription to learn more and add to my resume to reach my goal to become a soc analyst. I’m also in the discord and been following you for a while now, love the vids.

CCD is a gold mine
