I accidentally put magenta on top of cyan and for a little bit it was printing okay. The magenta was full if magenta and the cyan was mostly full of magenta. I printed pink on copy paper continuously to use of the pink. It was taking a lot from the Magenta tank. I put cyan in the magenta when it got low on magenta.
I would think when you print a color the printer would take the ink from the designated tank for that color, so even if magenta was in cyan, if I printed a cyan photo it should take from that tank and print the magenta ink, although it should be cyan, so that I can clear the tank out. But, now both tanks are full….but, my printer isn't printing magenta or cyan now. And them ranks are full of them two colors, somewhat mixed. I don't have a screwdriver to live the top up, but I was able to lift it enough to squeeze my hand in and get the cyan cartridge out. I took out the tube, and stuck a syringe with a long metal blunt needle (the ones for feeding pets, retrieving ink from printers, and other uses)… but it barely got anything. Nothing got sucked up into the syringe…
Edit: The screwdriver does work on the screws, but I have to really push it. I don't know how to even take the cover off and there are no videos of this for my printer, which is the ET-2400.
